Umm, Dylan….Jimi was great and his interpretation incredible, but Dylan wrote it an d to be fair, some of the more subtle interpretations put the real exclamation mark on the song.
The audio doesn't do it justice, but I get what you're saying. Really no one should attempt any Hendrix song unless they are prepared to let go of everything they know, and wing it in a moment of spiritual inspiration. That's what Jimi was about. It amazes me that many famous guitar players don't get this. Its an opportunity to fly with absolutely everything you got.
