Beautiful playing. I love the slickness of his playing, and seemingly endless ideas. My old 72 year old ears, hear the ghosts of Jimi, Albert, Stevie Ray, John Mayer, of course, and many more. What a talent, and a tone hound too.
It’s working, I’ve found Sean’s videos over the past couple of weeks. I follow countless UA-cam guitarists and Sean is right up there with the best IMO
I'm 70 now and have listened to Jimi for 55+/- years. I keep coming back to this. Sean's playing is just superb! No matter how far you go Sean, or wherever you go with your music - never lose that "wail"!

I hope a lot of you watching this guys videos do realize he is one of the best guitar players alive. He’s right up there with the best of the best. The fact that he’s not wildly famous is beyond me. I’ve watched hundreds and hundreds of guitarists in my life and there’s only a handful of guys that play with this much flavor and attention to detail. Sean Mann is one of the very few.
Thank you so much for doing this as a course. It is fantastic. You explain things clearly in a very friendly manner. I have got the first verse and solo down, but I enjoy playing it so much that I just repeat it over and over again so I have not yet started on verse two. Thanks again.
@@fred3893Agreed. I am doing the course now. Taking my time- drilling the blues and root notes in all positions before diving in any further- then I will learn the riffs. @@MOAB-UT I am about halfway through the second verse. Breathtaking. Leo Fender could have had no idea that when he came up with the Stratocaster it was ultimately to provide for THIS! Just an inspired rendition. Thank you. Mr. Mann. Your playing just continues to amaze and create joy.
Back for another view-I showed this to a "Hendrix" lover. In his words "The most perfect version in that it didn't hide the fact it was just melody and no vocals"! Tonight I watched his right hand-both sides of the brain are firing in this dude!! Love this video!!
This is perhaps the best and most sophisticated (and well-played) cover-work ever done. I particularly like the nod at John Mayers performance at the Crossroads festival at 4:21. That exact sequence made me forever fall in love with JM’s playing. Double popped polo collars and a mean head-bop. Awesome work!
