Hey Jamel, this is for certain my most watched Pink Floyd video of all time, without a doubt. If you noticed, they had a track that the cameras rolled along, my all time favorite part is just when they start panning around the back of the speaker enclosures and equipment, WEM cabinets, Watkins Electric Music, a British company that makes these towers of speakers. The horns really rock out the sound, very LOUD! Glad you enjoyed!
I have flown 'Lucy in the Sky with Diamonds' airlines while listening to great music, including Floyd Dark Side of the Moon through headphones. It's pretty great.
When you ask where those notes are from…it reminds me of the beginning of Phantom of the Opera (the musical), but Echoes was written long before Phantom 😊
I remember seeing this at the movies soon after the album 'Meddle' was released in 1971. It was amazing then and seeing it again after all these years just proves how timeless Pink Floyd music is...and how old I am...

Echoes is the perfect intro song to Pink Floyd.
22 mins of perfection.
And the part you were asking about sounds alittle like Phantom of the Opera to me, from the trailer i saw for it, maybe... 👍
The crowd are the souls of gladiators that died there.
The funkiest Pink Floyd Jam ever and my Favourite song by them ever . Echoes is just the Best . Glad you enjoyed so much Jamel .
That groove is just sick asf
Flashbacks
The crowed is the spirits and ghosts of Pompeii! I just love seeing your reaction to this song which is one of my favorites from Pink Floyd!
Love watching you man! it makes it feel like im hearing this for the first time again.
When you ask where those notes are from…it reminds me of the beginning of Phantom of the Opera (the musical), but Echoes was written long before Phantom 😊
Every time I watch this I can imagine the ghosts of Pompeii filling the bleachers.
and extraterestrials above:)
I remember seeing this at the movies soon after the album 'Meddle' was released in 1971. It was amazing then and seeing it again after all these years just proves how timeless Pink Floyd music is...and how old I am...
Next "Careful with that axe, Eugene" - Live Pompeii too
1972 Brighton is better, IMO.
Yes!!!
Trippy song lol.
^ what they said
I wish I were at UFO when they were developing this tres ensemble
Pink Floyd...Ni se te ocurra parar el video en la última parte...Pink Floyd Revoluciones ...Los dioses hechos carne. Así de simple. ☝️
"Strangers passing in the street
By chance two separate glances meet
And I am you and what I see
Is me..."
Coolest line in any song, ever.
But what about "Get on your bikes and ride!"
Bless the algorithm. I love pink floyd but have never seen this. I stopped this vid 40sec in to watch the original, after seeing this was something special. But I came back to watch you enjoy it too
you definitely will want to hear the studio version from the Meddle album too
David S; the studio version is great, especially the middle part with screaming echoes and psychedelic effects.
@@danielcobbins9050 I still remember one day my sophomore year in college putting on Echoes (Meddle version) up LOUD in a dark room with my eyes closed the whole time. I don't do drugs, but I was definitely tripping that day, just from the music and sounds.
I smoked so much weed in cars in random parking lots with my buddies back in high school to this song.
Also David Gilmour Echoes live in Gnask or live at Royal Hall ft. Richard W.
A Masterpiece
I think this goes beyond "rock" labelling, it is just amazing music
They recorded that album in that amphitheater for the acoustics. Floyd was deeply into sounds and noises and actually made an album (wasn't released) using household items.
It’s beyond, and infinitely, incredible to watch someone experience this incredible music, for the first time. Welcome to the brilliance of Floyd, my friend.. Enjoy the trip, Hermano!!!👊👊👊💯
rip couple bong hits an just melt with the music
Treat yourself to an evening of hearing an entire PF album while undisturbed by anybody! Or watch PF Live at Pompeii! Peace!
That’s my plan at work👍🏾
My daughter just gifted me a PF Live in Pompeii laser disk. Now, I need to find a laser disc player. 😂
@@jamelakajamal Ya Live at Pompeii is a full concert, with part 1 of Echoes being the 1st 10 minutes and part 2 of Echoes being the last 10 minutes of the concert. Pink Floyd agreed to do it only if there was no post production. All the gear had to be setup there to record what they played at that moment.
It's a masterpiece of progressive rock
Hey Jamel, I like your reaction about "Echoes" while I know the the original from the cinema scream at 74` when I`ve been young ;-))
I never knew Richard (RIP) sang on this.
Jamel...you asked where that was from. I think you may be thinking of the phantom of the opera. Similar sound...the part you were talking about. Great reaction! Yes indeed!
Sick funk breakdown...this got me into Floyd when I was a teen
It is from this amazing song experience that the group created my man... LoL. Seriously, it is from Pink Floyd, and so much of their music has permeated the fabric of our society that there is absolutely no telling where you think you're recognizing it from....
Imagine every year, some new fantastic band emerging. It's been a long time since those were the days.
This is probably my one of favourite Floyd tracks. It's in the transition between the "Set the controls for the heart of the sun" type stuff and " Dark side.
I think it probably gives a great impression of what they were like at UFO or the Roundhouse.
When they get into the groove you really go a journey.
I’ve literally just spent my whole morning listening to your Pink Floyd reaction videos. You earned a sub my man!
Thank you for sharing this. I grew up with Pink Floyd. Put on this album on my 'walkman' with head phones when I visited Pompeii years ago. It felt even more surreal and special. My husband and I don't have any children. It feels really special to watch you discover 'Echoes' and more of Pink Floyd and others. If you like Pink Floyd, you might want to check out 'IF' with Syd Barrett Pink Floyd also. Your reactions are sublime. Well done! You made me happy and made my day!
Andrew Lloyd Webber ripped that phrase off for Phantom of the Opera. 😂
This had to be one of the times they looked at each other and thought 'Jeez, we're pretty good aint we!''
50 years later, and it's still amazing!
Imagine living half a mile away and your out gardening one afternoon...
I would remember that day forever!
That would be the end of gardening for the day. I’d be sneaking in there
THANK YOU, THANK YOU, THANK YOU!!!!! No crowd needed! Glad you saw this LIVE!
"Set the Controls for the Heart of the Sun" is my favourite from this movie!!
I agree , I've been listening to that song a lot
Pink Floyd is one of the best bands ever.
