- Use this to find your vocal range - it only takes 1 minute.
If you sing solo you need to know your range so that you can put songs into keys that suit your voice best.
If you sing in a choir, you need to know your range to find the right section of the choir for you e.g. soprano, alto etc. If you practice singing your vocal range may increase over time.
Choir Section vocal ranges are shown in a table at the end of the video so you can see where your vocal range fits in.

I now reach A2 as my lowest and E5 (head voice) for my highest note. Last year, I had the same low note but C5 for the highest. Let's keep practising singers, we've got this !

I am a beginner as well but has been hobby singing for 5 years now(I suck but atleast I can match some pitch, tone, rhythm, and imitate timbre with ofcourse manipulation of the voice which is kinda like voice acting(?)).
Going by your chart, I can sing Bass up to the Alto. E2-D5. Though F2 is more comfortable but, also, i'm not really in singing shape with my voice rn.

I have a voice minor, have sung in choirs, plays, sang Susanna in Marriage of Figaro, recorded a couple of classical choral albums, and been placed in tenor sections when not enough men were there and there were plenty of sopranos, but never before been told I was a baritone (although, yes, I can sing low with a “male” sound). Cool.

Lolll when I first started I thought my lowest was a D3, until I re did it and it was actually an F2..... ans then i tried to find my highest and I thought I could hit a C#6, but it was actually a C#5
My vocal range is from somewhere below E2 to a G5. Les Mis being our school's musical this year really proved that to me. The director literally had to transpose an entire song down a perfect fourth just so I was able to sing it and sound normal while doing so.
I was able to belt f5 today in musical theatre when singing the last note of the song “forever” in shrek jr. The director’s jaw dropped and i felt so powerful like i never knew i could do it as easy as i did it. It was still very hard though 😂

F3 to C6. I knew my voice could go high but I didn't realize how high I could make it. I was always a soprano in choir, one of like 3 or 4 usually while there were probably about 10 mezzo sopranos and about 15-20 altos lol. We had very few guys in the bass/baritone/tenor section, rarely did we get all three. We usually had baritones though that could reach into the other registers so it wasn't as terrible. I also knew I could reach into alto territory but didn't know I could reach their lowest note!

The eeee sound is actually a pretty hard sound to do really high. Try a belted AHHHHHH sound to keep your throat nice and open and you’ll find you can go higher probably without using falsetto

E2-E6, i am a male, comfortable with both of these notes, my E6 though its not proper falsetto it's a flageolet actually, my Eb6 is pure head falsetto, at E i use head induced outward whistle to mask the note, my inhale whistle reach upto Eb8 which is so freaking awesome but the strain is real 😂

I sing in school competitions so it’s nice to know how far I can go until I start straining my voice
I've noticed that if I'm really tired, just waking up I can get down to a C2 without too much effort. Otherwise, normal range I can hit is between E2 and G5.

I agree lol. My range is E2-E5ish so 3 octaves. But A4-C5 for me, while usable, is difficult and kinda just “ out there” so to speak. In the studio I can make it work but Live , it’s hit or miss. One day it’s working, next day it’s not, then it works then it’s not etc . I have a coach now to help me make it more consistent . I think most ppl are either fabricating a bit haha or going off the notes they can sing on vowels but not necessarily what they can sing and use in songs.

@@Mo95793 the sounds will match. A friend could listen and tell you if they sound the same or not. If you aren't able to tell for yourself, there's a possibility that you are tone-deaf (not in a mean way, just a statement)

My school choir of 40 boys, I was the bass section. Not just IN the bass section, I WAS the bass section. And I still drowned out the other 39 without trying (all extremely-shy soprano-singing first years).
Still, when I first auditioned as a first year, I was told by the choir master there was no room for an 11yo bass singer. He finally accepted me about 3 years later. :P

If I count falsettos, head voices and even whistles my actual range is a whole lot bigger alrdy lmao.

astral audios almost everyone can sing in four octaves, they just need some practice bringing their voice to their throat.
A lot of people are forgetting that showing off your range is pointless if your voice doesn't sound well whatsoever. It doesn't matter what range you have, it matters what you can do with it. So all I see is a whole bunch people boasting about FOUR full octaves? Kinda don't think it's legit TBH...
Well, it's most likely people are watching this video in order to actually improve their singing voice, since knowing your vocal range is one of the first steps to doing so.
I am c3 to c7. Yes, I can reach 4 full octaves. I can reach that high, but I only feel comfortable singing from c3 to c6.
