I love your honesty. I love gardening but ALWAYS put things in the wrong places and end up diggi g them up or moving them. I used to feel really bad until a gardener on TV said he did the same thing and that actually is the beauty of gardening and learning. I have just planted some salvias in my garden and am going to mix with some herbs to get a Kitchen garden. Perth Australia
Gardening is all about having fun and learning! I garden so I can enjoy the beauty of it, so when I don’t like something, I want to change it. And that’s ok! Salvia and herbs sound like fun!
Yay! Thanks for the awesome update! Everything looks fantastic and makes me realize I have lots to do and learn. That coleus plant in your first tour video actually made me go out and get several that I’m still strategizing where they’re going. I grew up in San Diego (Bay Park area by Sea World) and my Mom has one that never goes away year after year and it’s always been my favorite. I never knew what it was until I saw your video. 🙂 Now that I have a house of my own with literally a blank canvas for plants, I rely on UA-cam to help. I’ve accumulated lots of containers but haven’t committed to where their placement will be yet. I’m now further north than San Diego a bit (Murrieta area) so worried what survives here. It gets hot af in summer and colder than San Diego in winter. We moved here in August and I brought a Japanese maple (container patio tree) which I made the mistake of leaving on my porch and it was murdered by the sun and heat. Will my baby coleus plants survive? It looks like they get full Sun where you are so I have hope. 🙂
I also can’t keep a Japanese Maple in direct sun. They’re actually supposed to be planted under a larger tree, so they get mostly shade but bright light. I keep mine on the side of my house where it only get sun for maybe 3-4 hours and the leaves will still get burnt in the summer. Not much else I can do and it looks pretty till then 🤷♀️ as far as coleus, some require shade, and some are fine in the sun so see what works for you! It’s all about experimenting!
Thank you! I wouldn’t recommend the David Austin rose “Lady of Shallott” since it grows like a climber and is impossible to keep tame. You live and you learn!
looks beautiful, would you mind doing a lemon tree update. I just bought one after one of mine died and would love to see how yours is doing for inspiration!
The garden looks very pretty indeed. 🙂 But i was specially drawn to the red foliage palm tree! I guess i didn't get the name correct. 😁 Amazing rose collection. 🙂

Very pretty front yard. Are there any plants that you don’t recommend? I’m not a fan of plants that attract aphids.
