🌿🤏 pinch the ends of all limbs around late August or September and feed some Dr.Earths BLOOM BOOSTER 3-9-4 so that it has stored energy going into winter to produce flowers. It's a production prune that will lead to a super bloom by stressing vegetative growth you'll stimulate flower buds. If you have room for another one I would recommend you get a GEM avocado tree. ✌️🥑 Thanks for sharing

Can you give more info on pinching the ends? I have the same dwarf holiday avocado tree close to 2 years old

Thanks for the update, your tree is looking healthy, one of my 3holiday Trees all planted same time spring 2020 One of the three has set 1 fruit the others aren't finished flowering too soon to tell, I posted earlier that holiday was known for being unproductive or difficult to produce fruit.

I just bought one, I live in Tucson Az, put three drips of 2 gallons each, three times a week for one hr, is that enough for spring?

If you ever get another get a GEM, Holiday is a very nice avo, but not very productive.

You need both a type A and type B pollunating type. Otherwise it won't get pollunated. Your tree looks good, you just need a pollunater

Holiday fruits need 18 months to reach maturity before harvest.

@@passionforplants3242 😆 I did the double stake method too but once it out grew the stake, it started to flop. Looks like you are taking good care of it, my one recommendation, ever since I got rid of drip and went to micro spray, all my avocados started to take off.

@@AvocadoTalk I have some micro-sprayers throughout my garden but not any on my avocado tree. Maybe I’ll add some there. Thanks for the advice!

Don't be afraid of watering more. Avocado trees love water and need water especially here in SoCal. It's very hard to overwater especially if you have it in a raised bed with well drained soil. Also white wash the tree trunk and branches. It will help to keep the tree from being damaged from our harsh summers we have, IV organics makes a good white wash, kind of pricey, but should last a long time. I mix the powder in a small ceramic mug with a small paint brush. Try and fertilize 3 times a year. Fall, Spring, and Summer, organic or whatever you choose, I use Osmocote plus, it's a very reliable time released fertilizer, my avocado trees look great. You most definitely should have fruit from the tree by now. Most of the avocado trees sold are grafted and usually set fruit after one year in the ground. Hope this helps speed up the fruit production process.

You’ll be sad later when it breaks from all the artificial support you are doing. Plus the wood going to burn in the summertime. Holiday weeping growth is how the tree protect its trunk and fruits under the canopy.

I think you need more mulch. Leaving the leaves is awesome, but the roots need more protection - 4 inches out to dripline, but leave the trunk with no mulch to prevent root rot. Tree looks very healthy ❤

Great video. You are right about the summer heat and needing lot more water. I do the same. Hope you get fruit soon. I would recommend people wanting to buys avocado tree to not buy five gallon and go for 15 gallon if money is not an issue. Trees are bigger and they produce lot sooner than five gallon tree.

Don’t stake the tree it will only break later in a wind storm once the stake get weak and tree becomes too heavy Holiday is a seedling selected from the old variety murrietta green. It actually ripens in summer not fall winter.
