A good pair of cords is a classic. I still have burgundy, brown & carmel ones I bought YEARS ago from JCrew & not only do they still look current, but the colors are perfection. Like anything that’s good quality & a classic style & color, it never goes out of style.
Me too! I have choc brown, sage green , camel-beige and black! Mine are Gloria vanderbuilt and they still look good even tho I have had them for years! Just got another pair in a rust color!
I had a pair of wide leg lightish brown cargo pants around 2000 that I absolutely loved. I believe I got them in the men's department, so I looked like a boy Bratz when I wore them, and I was fine with that!
Down under we refer to "secondhand" clothing as pre-loved because they were loved by the person who initially paid a ton of money for the item and now they are loved by me haha love your videos we are in summer and this is so great to watch what's happening and what's coming for us next year ❤❤
We need a video for winter fashion in the south! I'm in Texas so, like Florida not a big need for all the fun sweaters and coats. I enjoy your videos, keep them coming!
Bang on time, Anna. It's snowing here in the UK getting us properly into the winter ❄️ spirit 😊. I love this time of the year and love winter fashion ❤❤
Corduroy is a classic. I remember wearing them in the 90’s and repurchased another pair of pants since sometimes I like variety to jeans for fall/winter season.
I live in NJ, and we get a decent winter. I’ve been rocking “grandpa core” since the 90s…. I love cords, vests, a fluffy hat, a Fair Isle sweater for the cold weather.
Love the corduroys! Pants, skirts, great staple in colder climates like here in the PNW. I’ve been into this since high school in the 90s. Very classic & comfy. I’m more of a classic to slightly edgy woman so the super baggy anything is a no. I do however like the wide leg pants/jeans/cords, not barrel but tighter on the waist & hips. But I’m 5’4” so I have to be aware of not to get lost in the looks. Thank you for all your helpful info. 🥰💚👍🏼💐
I live in rural Canada and it gets cold here. I feel like I was ahead of these trends… a couple years ago I was specifically looking for fair isle sweaters. I also live in cords in the winter and chocolate brown is my favourite neutral. Looks like I won’t need to do any shopping to be on trend this year!
That beautiful gray off shoulder dress I would wear a cream or white boot with it to keep it bright and to compliment the beautiful shimmer light going on with it I feel like the black takes away from the beauty of it rather than enhances it😘
I'm going to Phoenix for Christmas, staying thru New Years, so I have a lot to think about what to wear. The weather is similar to Florida in December. You gave some good ideas of what to look for. A top coat in petite, houndstooth or beige is one, a blazer is another. I have cords, suit pants and sweaters already. The off the shoulder tops/dresses look so elegant. Thanks again for your enjoyable videos.
Anna, im in the southwest texas desert. I totally get what u mean about faux fur in warm winters, although we don't have ur Florida humidity. What i have found I can do wear faux fur without overheating is with a light faux fur vest that i can layer over a long sleeve T-shirt or thin knit top. I also found a winter coat that has a removable faux fur collar that lays over the regular collar. Works great allowing me to indulge the style without being uncomfortable. Hope something like this works for u too.
It's all about proportion when talking top length. A longer length top works better with a straight, relaxed skinny, or closer to the thigh type bottom. A waist length or just above the hip works better with a wider bottom.
The one jacket you showed from your sponsor looked like a combination of a cropped trench and a barn jacket, and I liked that so much more than an actual barn jacket!
That's funny you said that because I feel the same way! I was liking the barn jacket (in some instances) but when I got the cropped one I thought oh... this is what I like better! lol ❤️
For the corduroy trend this year, I opted for a camel colored suede pair of wide leg jeans instead since suede is also having a moment in fall 2024. I can't wait till they get here!
Hey thanks for the Alaska shout-out! I've been wearing a lot of suit pants and sweaters to work lately... with thermal leggings underneath to stay warm!
Been following for a long time Fellow Floridian.. could you possibly make a video on the best shoes to wear with long baggy jeans? That don’t make you look like you did in middle school in the 90’s 😂😂😂
Love the trends, unfortunately I have an inverted triangle shape and off the shoulder, shiny fabrics, long sweater, fair isle sweaters and faux fur coats. Looking forward to getting some corduroy pants and suit pants.
I don’t have nothing dark brown. It’s not my color. I have some burgundy. But I am in South Florida, so I am not getting too many cool weather clothes, I have enough sweaters. I don’t really follow trends too much. I still getting some coveted pieces from Old Celine. The only trends, I picked up boho type gorgeous Zimmerman lace blouse in ecru. And it’s funny really want Chanel vintage red jacket I guess Chanel is hard to give up lol . I sold majority of my Chanel closet, and now I want some again 😂 Suede is so beautiful for fall, but if I get I will get maybe bag like clutch. And I do thinking of getting animal print mules. Again South Florida we don’t see too many cold days to invest in coats or shoes 😳 it’s still hot 😂😂😳 have a blessed day🙏❤️
I have longer sweaters that I used to wear w/ skinny jeans when they were “IN” now the straight or wide leg jeans are IN & what I wear & the longer sweaters look odd w/ them. So how are we supposed to style long sweaters now? I was actually planning to get rid of all mine. I’m so confused!
Love the tan utility jacket you were wearing at the end of video. 🩷 Thank you for sharing the link, did you order a size down or did you get a regular size small? Thank you so much for sharing 🥰
I'm guessing you aren't aware that your " cute little coat" is actually sending out classic "Hunting Coat" style vibes...so it might qualify as Grandpa Core 😀
Of all rhe trends, dressing like your Grampa seems to top the strange list. My Grandfather was a buyer for a large department store chain and the best dressed man i have ever known. But still, this is a no for me too😉
Anna, I worked seasonal Crate & Barrel ~ 12 years ago in Houston. A customer came in with a full length sable mink and flip flops. I asked if she had gotten a pedicure- why else would one be dressed like that? Nope. She left her house like that. It was not cold
love your channel. Chocolate brow is NOT the right brown for light spring and most springs in fact. it’s very dark. Even some Autumns should not really wear very dark brown
I recently lost 90 pounds and had to buy buy new everything from underwear to coats. Even some shoes were too large. Had to get my rings resized. I shopped charity and consignment shops…..WalMart and TEMU…..I mean to tell you……I am STYLIN’ big time. I have good taste and in my corporate life dressed very well. I am retired now and love my NEW preowned wardrobe 😉😉😉
Yeah… the grandpa thing… no thanks. I’m 60 and still have a decent body so I will not be wearing anything masculine or that hides my feminine form. Gotta enjoy it while it lasts right?!
Long sweaters like tunics? Big nope for me, too much fabric. Corduroy pants are fabulous, shopping for a good pair or 2 now. I do enjoy suit pants, easy to style and kinda fun to wear. I am skipping the grandpa trend too, it looks like thrift shop rejected bin clothes!
I love corduroy and hate it at the same time. I hate when you walk it makes that weird noise when your legs rub together . I’m old so when I think of corduroy I think of the old days in the 80’s and 90’s.the corduroyOP the guys would all wear what a scary thought that was.
Lol the jacket you’re wearing as you talk about skipping grandpa core is totally itself grandpa core! 😂 Can’t you just see your grandpa wearing it on a rocking chair on the porch?
A good pair of cords is a classic. I still have burgundy, brown & carmel ones I bought YEARS ago from JCrew & not only do they still look current, but the colors are perfection. Like anything that’s good quality & a classic style & color, it never goes out of style.
Love this

For “grandpa-core” I had this light blue sweater vest in the 90’s with wooden brown buttons from my grandfather 💙
Cords are ALWAYS in style…….perfect winter wear
Down under we refer to "secondhand" clothing as pre-loved because they were loved by the person who initially paid a ton of money for the item and now they are loved by me haha love your videos we are in summer and this is so great to watch what's happening and what's coming for us next year ❤❤
Love it! Lots of people refer to second hand as pre-loved here too it does sound better and make more sense! 😄❤️❤️
🤣It's just nice to see PANTS are back in style and have made a come back!
i love cords.
skinny cords and knee high boots and a cozy sweater is my winter uniform
We need a video for winter fashion in the south! I'm in Texas so, like Florida not a big need for all the fun sweaters and coats. I enjoy your videos, keep them coming!
Love corduroy pants dressier than jeans but still so comfortable
Yes! ❤️❤️
And warmer than jeans
A huge YES on the long sweaters. I am a knitter and love these and the fair isle sweaters. Also so glad to see corduroy are back.
I adore corduroys. I'm glad they are coming back. I have several pairs I never stopped wearing!
Bang on time, Anna. It's snowing here in the UK getting us properly into the winter ❄️ spirit 😊. I love this time of the year and love winter fashion ❤❤

You’re right they don’t really ever go out of style! ❤️

I am so excited about the browns! So warm and cozy.
I love them too! ❤️❤️❤️
I loved all of these, thank you so much for sharing them! I live in northwest Ohio, where it gets very cold, so Grandpa Core might even work, LOL!!
I just wore my navy Ralph Lauren cords pants very cozy, great informational message Anna 😊
the *yutulu* would be super cute during the fall with a nude or tan or even tonal outfit! i’m thinking a tan wool coat with that bag!!
Your blazers color is perfect 👌🏽
That beautiful gray off shoulder dress I would wear a cream or white boot with it to keep it bright and to compliment the beautiful shimmer light going on with it I feel like the black takes away from the beauty of it rather than enhances it😘

Glad you liked this one! Enjoy your trip! ❤️
We’re already at a low in the 40s here in Phoenix! It’s noon now and it’s only 55!
It was such a great era and I low key miss the makeup days but as usual you always left us with those *yutulu* .

Agree!
Love that silver dress on you. Beautiful! ❤
Thank you, Jen! ❤️❤️❤️
I love wearing chocolate brown + black + gold accessories 😍
Love! ❤️❤️
All together!?!
I bought some ecru corduroy pants. They are super soft and very warm for Colorado.
I ❤ corduroy! I have an awesome dark purple corduroy blazer that I don't wear nearly enough!
Oh wow that sounds amazing!
the spare dress looks fabulous on you
Thank you! ❤️
Anna, you look amazing in chocolate brown!🤎
Thank you, Wendy! ❤️❤️
The one jacket you showed from your sponsor looked like a combination of a cropped trench and a barn jacket, and I liked that so much more than an actual barn jacket!
That's funny you said that because I feel the same way! I was liking the barn jacket (in some instances) but when I got the cropped one I thought oh... this is what I like better! lol ❤️
Fantastic info! Thank you
You are so welcome! ❤️❤️
9:18 I moved from Orlando to Denver and BOY did my feelings about faux fur coats do a 180 after that transition
lol what do you mean? Like you own 7?
For the corduroy trend this year, I opted for a camel colored suede pair of wide leg jeans instead since suede is also having a moment in fall 2024. I can't wait till they get here!
I love the longer sweater looks because of my hip dips 🤭
What are hip dips?
Hey thanks for the Alaska shout-out! I've been wearing a lot of suit pants and sweaters to work lately... with thermal leggings underneath to stay warm!
Gilmore girls I been watching on repeat seems to be the going look these days in so many ways 😘
The cute kaki jacket reminds me a lot of my grandpa and dads classic casual go to.. you might be embracing it already!
Haha you are right maybe I’m unintentionally elective grandpa-ing 🤣🤣
I love corduroy, but yes, you have to find good corduroy. There's so much terrible cord out there.
So true! ❤️❤️
You can sub a fur vest for the fur coat
Been following for a long time
Fellow Floridian.. could you possibly make a video on the best shoes to wear with long baggy jeans? That don’t make you look like you did in middle school in the 90’s 😂😂😂
Yep, the 90’s was all about black dress pants. No one wore jeans among my friends.
Tell me more about long sweaters? Tunic length?
Love the trends, unfortunately I have an inverted triangle shape and off the shoulder, shiny fabrics, long sweater, fair isle sweaters and faux fur coats. Looking forward to getting some corduroy pants and suit pants.
❤️❤️❤️

As a petite woman all jumpers are long line on me regardless of choice😂
lol 😂
I just bought three pairs of nice pants from Banana Factory to wear with tees and sneakers. I'm on board with that one!
Love! ❤️❤️
I loved the looks you showed for Grandpa Core! It's just that grandpa name that stinks. Just looks like oversized mixed layers and looks fun.
The primary trend every winter here in the north is to try and stay warm. Certainly no bare shoulders. I’ll take the grandpa look over that.
What about teddy coats and fleece sweaters?
I'm guessing you aren't aware that your " cute little coat" is actually sending out classic "Hunting Coat" style vibes...so it might qualify as Grandpa Core 😀
The jacket you were wearing when you talked about grandpa core, was kinda that esthetic
I wouldn't pair a dark chocolate brown with black, it's just too dark a combination, grey would be a better choice imo
Camel would be a much better choice!
Can you post a link to the corduroy pants? I have several pair that I love and I would love to add the pair that you show in this video.
Yes here you go! These are great, I've been really loving this brand recently: bit.ly/3ALo2Ky
Feral knit it's Egyptian style pattern ❤
Of all rhe trends, dressing like your Grampa seems to top the strange list. My Grandfather was a buyer for a large department store chain and the best dressed man i have ever known. But still, this is a no for me too😉
I love chocolate, but I do not think I'd wear it. I prefer burgundy and leopard!
Both of those are also very popular colors this season! ❤️
@@ANNAREID29 I know! I've been going crazy saving Pinterest pix and I've found a few pieces of both for myself.
Maybe they should call the Grandpa Trend “Curt Cobain trend”. He wore grandpa sweater! Maybe it’s the name LOL
Omg yes he did!! I remember that! 🤣❤️
Anna, I worked seasonal Crate & Barrel ~ 12 years ago in Houston. A customer came in with a full length sable mink and flip flops. I asked if she had gotten a pedicure- why else would one be dressed like that? Nope. She left her house like that. It was not cold
Hahaha she yelled "YOLO" and decided that day was the day for the coat 😂😂
Cathy I have heard of women entering the casinos in New Jersey dressed exactly like this, often wearing mink coats😉
love your channel. Chocolate brow is NOT the right brown for light spring and most springs in fact. it’s very dark. Even some Autumns should not really wear very dark brown
But it's so pretty tho! I do look best in the caramel browns. But I loooove the chocolate ❤️❤️❤️
I have burgundy cords but they don’t fit me anymore 😢
Oh no! ❤️❤️❤️
Definite “No” on the grandpa trend 😂
@Darnise....I have enough trouble accepting the fact that I'm a grandma let alone looking like a grandpa!!😂😂😂
Love your videos but the Fabrique pieces were less than impressive. Interesting. I’ve recently ordered corduroy from Zara. Love it!
That’s amazing, Phyllis! ❤️❤️❤️
Yeah… the grandpa thing… no thanks. I’m 60 and still have a decent body so I will not be wearing anything masculine or that hides my feminine form. Gotta enjoy it while it lasts right?!
Haha exactly! 🤣❤️
I’m waiting on my white corduroy overalls to arrive. I’m a breastfeeding mama and I need easy boob access, but I want to be covered and warm. 😊
❤️❤️❤️
No off shoulder looks for me. I’m too old for that.
I love corduroy and hate it at the same time. I hate when you walk it makes that weird noise when your legs rub together . I’m old so when I think of corduroy I think of the old days in the 80’s and 90’s.the corduroyOP the guys would all wear what a scary thought that was.
I love the off shoulder look. It is a romantic and maybe sexy? look for mature women like me! I had to buy one to update my wardrobe.
I think it looks sexy and classy at the same time 😍
❤❤❤❤❤❤❤
🥰🥰🥰
No off shoulder or shimmer looks for me. I’m too old for that plus I’d rather buy classic pieces nothing trendy as they go out of style so quickly.
@Sue...yes, but we only live once!💖
Maybe we started to see more and more modest styles/fashion? It’s good for people who like to wear modest and chic clothing like myself 😁
❤️❤️❤️
Lol the jacket you’re wearing as you talk about skipping grandpa core is totally itself grandpa core! 😂 Can’t you just see your grandpa wearing it on a rocking chair on the porch?
Corduroy pants are grandpa core, too. Vests? Yep. Button down/up shirts? Them, too!
I live in Southern California so fur wouldn’t work nor would I buy fur anyway.
I do not care for the off the shoulder shirts, dresses etc. not classy at all, just my opinion.
Agree with the grandpa trend! Lol
The colors (clothes and makeup) you have on in this video suit you to a "T"
Thank you so much! ❤️❤️❤️
These colors were way too drab for me! The brown blazer too big on you - shapeless. I have lived other items you wear.
