I am a woman in her sixties, and for a long time I thought I was pretty stylish. I shopped at the stores women my age were supposed to shop in, and wore the comfortable shoes I was supposed to be wearing. One day I was walking by one of those dark shaded windows and caught my reflection. I stopped and stared and nearly had a melt down then and there. This person was not me. This style was not mine. When did I think a batwing anything was a good look? I bought into the narrative that women of a certain age need to look a certain way and had purchased way too many things that supported that narrative. I have always been a classic dresser with quality over quantity. The return to that style has saved me money, taken at least 10 years off of my look, and made me feel like I am once again home in my own body.
I love this, Victoria, thank you for sharing! I am pretty positive a lot of us buy into the “what I’m supposed to wear now that I’m __ age” I’m so glad you were able to see that and turn it around ❤️
@@victoriakelly8989 I'm turning 62 and for the past 20 years there have been people who have commented that I don't dress "my age". Not quite sure what that even means. I show no skin (not my style) and I'm not super trendy. But I do view clothing as "play". I always have. I have LOTS of clothes and shoes, but some of them are over 30 years old. I love shopping in my own closet and just trying new things. Clothes are just that... Play. Life is too short to concern ourselves with pleasing other people's expectations of what *we* should look like.
I’m in my mid 60’s too and I just couldn’t dress like a woman “my age”. I think it’s awful what merchandisers do to women our age. I think their main idea is to make us look as irrelevant, and frumpy as possible. It’s almost satirical. I’m sorry this happened to you. I’m glad you made your way back to a style that you love.

I went to private school all my life thank goodness for UNIFORMS!!! I went to a luxury--private schools if it weren't for uniforms I would never have been able to keep up with the Jones’s....LOL ....Wish I could wear work uniforms life and style would be so much better!!!
@@Michael-k4g I created one. I basically wore the same style every day. I went to private schools as well and lived in my uniforms. So I created a work uniform, a going out uniform, a family gathering uniform.
I do the same thing. My brain is mush in the morning. But, I’m probably not as stylish as you. That’s why I like watch these types of channels. I need a lot of help.
Finding casual clothes is the hardest. It’s so easy to buy for the “fantasy self”…date night outfits, weddings, graduations, parties, the sudden black tie event! 😂 I have always wondered “who goes on that many date nights and to that many weddings and parties and graduations and girls nights out…?” Definitely not me. Trying to match a somewhat stylish outfit to my casual lifestyle is my struggle! I have a closet full of going out clothes that just sit there. 🙄😬🤨 Great video! Thank you!
One of the ways to look more modern these days is to pair a “fancy” item with a casual piece. You could try that with your clothes and see if you like it. It might take a bit to get used to the look on you, but what do you have to lose? So pop on that fancy blouse with the jeans, throw on a blazer, add sneakers and accessories and then look in the mirror. You might be surprised. Have fun with it!
I can relate 😂. It’s basically fantasy purchases. I am retired so I foresee funerals would be dominating my special occasion lol. Being at home most of the time, looking casual but fab is a tall order. I try my best to put on different jeans, non tee shirt looking tops, and various jewelry daily and don’t wear them to bed. The struggle is real. However I sort of treat getting dressed as a defense against falling thru the crack of not caring about my looks. I hope to always be mindful of my looks, at home or not, to fight against not caring about everything…..
I struggle with this problem too. I stopped buying for my fantasy self long ago when I realized it was a fantasy via videos like this. Lol. I had to figure out what style of casual I am & What type of "home clothes" I like that I still feel good in, NOT sweatpants, leggings and basic tees.
Hi Bethany, wear your going out stuff to lunch with a friend or by yourself, who cares. I love clothes and accessories, and try and get (casual) dressed up every day, just to go grocery shopping, and have a sit down coffee, and once a week, a sit down lunch, it makes me really happy. I am 64 and have been getting my clothes & accessories ready the night before, since I was a teenager. Take care. Debra xxx
😂 I am that woman who occasionally finds herself shopping in order to find a good white T-shirt. You’d be surprised how hard it really is to find the right fit, right shade of white, right material and the right basic design without any prints and unnecessary decorative details.
your “rambling” at the end is pure gold! You are so right about the energy people can put into judging others harshly. Keep your focus on how you might improve yourself and give everyone some leeway to be imperfect.
I'll usually react to someone else hating on someone I admire, especially if it's vile and ugly. I feel better venting, but I'm not profane. Oh the joys of social media😮.
You hit the nail on the head about retail therapy. It's the excitement for me and I'm always chasing that feeling. Especially when I can't travel. I found myself shopping like four to five times a week and now I have no room in my closet. I need to stop. I have everything I could possibly want 😊 Anna I'm new here and I absolutely love your channel and I love your style. You've helped me put a lot of things in perspective when it comes to Fashion 🌹
Tip 11 is so real! I know that often when I am looking at someone else, it is because they are comfortable in their own skin and own their style. My struggle is to love and be myself…I want to be myself.
Great video! I just did a huge closet purge & then invested in higher quality pieces that I feel good wearing. I no longer go into an office for work & it’s been difficult for me to get out of that needing to dress up every day mode & find a casual style where I still feel good about myself. Investing in some good casual basics has made my life so much easier & because I love how organized my small closet is now, I am less tempted to impulse buy clothes that I know will just add clutter. Edit- I love your ramble at the end of the video! Positive energy is so much better than negative energy!! ❤
I’m 64 years old and I hate the fact that we women take longer to get ready reason why I became a minimalist in everything. Minimal makeup, look presentable and comfortable,no trends, classic looks is a must, as simple as possible in accessories and it works for me. Great advice overall. As always great video❤
Anna, I want to commend you on your statement about the woman who is fit in your gym. Women CAN have it all but not all at one time. You have it over a lifetime. Women do not understand this concept and become self loathing. When you accept this fact and give yourself the “grace” to be where you are at the time and the best self you can be, life becomes attainable and enjoyable❤
This is such an accurate point, Cathy! I'm so glad you said it. It's a myth that we can have it all, and all at once. It's ok to prioritize and actually necessary to be successful in some areas. Right now I'm choosing time with my kids over extra time in the gym and I'm totally ok with that 😃❤️❤️❤️
Having it all is vanity, enjoy where you're at, grow, & make the very best of it. When I raised my kids we didn't have vacations, but we knew this going into parenthood. Clothes, fashion last thing on my mind, although I always wore makeup and looked good, always had a clean house, & who doesn't good in their 20s & 30s😅. Don't stress, nobody has it all. Life is about sacrifices, (especially when children are desired), lovely relationships & family. I enjoy your channel.
Thanks for the reminder of not waiting until the last minute to get dressed!! That is so me. My husband and I had a date night and the outfit in my head did not look the way I anticipated. I ended up wearing an outfit that I wasn’t happy with bc I ran out of time. So relatable!!! Love your videos!
Great video… you are such a positive influence. I will add one thing I am working on NOT doing anymore… not buying clothes just because they are on sale. I am trying to evaluate the item based on need and like and will it add something to my wardrobe
So agree that it’s a waste of energy tearing other people down. Imagine how wonderful the world would be if all of us spent time improving ourselves as you recommended! Love your channel. Keep it coming! ❤
"Edit my closet often" hit me like YES!!!! I do NOT do that. Why I think I only need to do that every, say, couple of years....I don't know. OFTEN. I need to do that so bad!!
I finally stopped looking at size. I am basically a S size but the cut from different brands and styles make size a lot less trustworthy. I now but M or L on certain styles to get the desired look. Jeans except skinny I now buy them a size larger (waist size). The slightly relaxed waist makes certain Jean styles so much better and good for weight fluctuation.
I really enjoyed this content. Thank you for stepping up and not going with what everyone else is doing. YOUR HONESTY IS A BREATH OF FRESH AIR. I have had bouts of deep depression over not meeting what I thought and what Hollywood standards has put out. I am a big, ribcaged, apple shaped woman. I am learning to try to be the best me I can possibly be. I watch your channel because I thought you dressed nice and you were classy. Also, I love your personality. I'm going to save this so I can keep going back for inspiration. Thank you again.
Anna, this video is🔥! You covered the gamut, and it was greatly needed and appreciated on this platform.😊 Your candidness and self reflection is a breath of fresh air! THANK YOU once again for your humanitarian spirit.❤️
I learned to buy clothes based more on my lifestyle. Dressing for the weekend of soccer games year round is much easier when I realized this and had the appropriate items to withstand the northeast weather. Purchasing high quality classic items and investing in my comfort eas a step I deserved to take for myself.
Amazon’s target pricing got me to buy several pairs of crystal studded flats ($15 a pair average). I wear them with jeans a lot. My friends are amazed at such combo because they thought these flats are for special occasions. But they look fab with jeans and sparkle like crazy under sunlights. I also wear bling jewelry with casual outfits, too. The plainer the outfit, the more mismatch I want my shoes, bag, and accessories to be 😂
Love that! Just went to Amazon looking for the shoes you described and can’t find any below $30 (still not a paid price) and most were over $50. Do you have a link? :)
@dr.andriamiller3964 I am not under Vine therefore I don’t get free products to test. However I am pretty diligent in writing reviews since 1998 when I first joined Amazon. All I did was looking for shoes for my choir stage dress and Amazon started to recommend these glitter flats with half off price under my shoe size. After a month I no longer had the special pricing. But I did buy 7 pairs of flats. I do recommend Cestfini ballet flats. They are not glittering but they do have pale hold and silver version. They are leather and pretty comfortable.
Today I bucked the trend and pulled out my fav skinnies - the Ali high rise cigarette jeans by Frame! Paired them with my lug sole Chelsea boots and an oversized sweatshirt and felt good!! It’s not about what you wear, but how you wear it and how it makes you feel!
10:07-10:13: 😳 I just pulled out a large canvas zip bag from The Container Store and cleared out almost half of the clothes from my closet: sundresses, items I like but never wear, etc. This week, I thought I needed to buy more hangers, but it turns out I needed to declutter😀
Your 11th tip is the best tip. When I started UA-cam (I have a tiny urban flower farm that I share my yearly exeperiences on) I was so nervous about my age (61 then, 63 now). However, that's just who I am, if you want someone younger, watch someone younger. The other thing I decided was that I would not try to look younger by wearing makeup or colouring my hair - I"m proud of how healthy I look and feel in my own skin - so I decided to be proud of my natural look. Releasing those anxieties has made youtube, and frankly all aspects of my life fun.
I love the last part about the videos about tearing people down. There are UA-cam channels that dedicate their time on tearing people down and revisiting old drama. Obviously, these videos get clicks and that is why they do it. Thanks for sharing your thoughts on positivity.
I loooove all your advices Anna,-especially the last one. I have been suffering from anorexia for 27 yrs and I always compare myself to others but I’m really trying not to. Thanks again!❤
Thank you! These are the types of videos I love to watch. I know the numbers are often higher on the haul videos and the sales generated help your income but I never fail to watch this type of informative video with tips and ideas and just some good information. Some of this I watched twice (and may be three times) but I really enjoyed it. Happy Thanksgiving from Canada! 🦃🍂🍁🥰
We couldn't be more different in age, race, and size but I must say your advice and styling is so inspirational. Thanks for the tips. Love them all. Keep helping keep us stylish!
Anna I never ever compare myself (or my style) to other women. Doing so on any level is a breading ground for discontentment. I r4ealize that this can be easier said then done, but the pay off is huge. I've learned to dress for myself, everyday, no matter if I'm choosing comfy cozy sweats or an outfit with a killer hero piece. It gives me the confidence I need no matter what I find myself doing that day. Thanks for all you do to help keep us stylish!
This was a GREAT video. I can relate to everything you said. I am older than you and didn’t have all these things figured out earlier . Be proud of yourself!
One thing that helped me was getting my color done. I am a dark winter. Sone of the accents are brighter but the main palate isnt. It makes getting dressed and looking put together easier. I also only by natural fibers. No more man made materials. Just by getting my colors done and only buying natural fibers, I have saved alot and I always look put together.
I am the woman looking for a great basic white t- shirt. I have plenty, but want to keep them in rotation fresh. Thanks for always keeping us awake and aware. 😊
You should do a video covering your favorite jewelry pieces and how you match them to outfits. You can also cover earrings to wear based on your face shape, and ear stack curation tips!
My closet is bad but getting better. Im going through it more. Hate cheap jewlery. I wear my workout clothes all week cause im a dog walker but like to dress up on Saturday
Really Excellent pointers, especially the last one!! I have one more that a friend told me years ago when I would be complaining about how my body was less than perfect…she said LOVE the body that you are in right now because years from now you are going to look back at photos and ask yourself what in the world were you complaining about!? Love your body ladies, especially if you are in good health!!
It’s so interesting how much stopping things in our lives have more impact than starting. Love the video 💜 I stopped buying and I’m learning to edit and use the clothes I have left.
Great and inspiring video. I see myself in many of these situations. It's taken me so long to get to understanding my own style. You're absolutely right on the reality of influencers not being what they choose to post. Now I watch and learn only from a handful, you among my first go to people. Pick and choose, make lists of wants vs needs and shop accordingly. Next will be closet purge and sort. Keep posting! Always a takeaway, always fun.
Thank you for sharing your realistic life and challenges. It makes you very relatable and it also takes courage to share experiences that might be judged harshly. Sometimes we have to try things that might end up not working but you don’t know that until you try it. I loved the look of bohemian style and bought flowy skirts and prints and many “peasant” blouses but I came to the conclusion that it just didn’t suit me. All that stuff got donated and now I stick with clean lines and solid colors, I’m so much happier when I look in the mirror 😊
I love to watch your channel because you are so real. I resonate with your ideas and appreciate the tips you have on style. I think you look attractive and well put together.
Anna, why are you so smart?!?! I always learn so much from you. Thank you for these tips. I like my wardrobe so much better since I found your channel. I appreciate you so much!
Love your honesty. We all have our priorities when it comes to working out and shouldn’t compare ourselves. It is a difficult task. We don’t always hear about how “normal” our influencers lives really are. Just love your videos! Thank you.
Don’t buy dresses for a special occasion anymore. I wear what I already have in my closet and try to wear them different ways, accessorizing different ways. I just wear what I feel comfortable in, like a classic style, and accessorize to make it my style.
Kind of on the same line about buying things in your size, I realized I've been buying shoes two sizes too big because that's what I did growing up. Now I'm on a journey to getting the right size and I really enjoy the look and functionality of it.
Words of wisdom!! So true about resisting the temptation to buy more of your staples! My weakness is a silk shirt or top. I wear them all the time through out the year, but I should stop buying more 😅
Wonderful posting! Because you show us your genuine and true self, we're able to relate and understand everything you're saying... Thank you for being you! BTW, you'd make an excellent "life coach" if not a "style coach!" ❤
Excellent points! I’ve had to stop doing many/most of these things, too! I especially liked your tips about self care. (Former mental health professional here.) You come across as genuine. I subscribed. Thank you for sharing your wisdom.
Same here!! Always wore the smallest size. Now, after the dreaded menopause, things have shifted a bit and I buy jeans a size or two bigger than I used too. Nothing drastic, still slim, but finally admitted to myself that I will never be. size O again!
Also class of ‘04 here 🙌🏻! As Anna said in the video, it was totally the thing to do to squeeze into the smallest size possible. Those juniors size 0 hip hugger jeans with no stretch took no prisoners 🤣😂.
Same and also class of 04 😅🙌🏼 was constantly squeezing into skinny jeans and always felt uncomfortable or depressed when I put on a little weight. Sometimes motivating but mostly silly. So much happier, more comfy, stylish, AND still slim looking, in roomier sizes and non-skinny silhouettes. ❤
Getting up and getting ready for my day I think is so important. It does something to my mental state and being motivated to doing something useful. Comfortable, good quality basics are my go to.
as i was watching this video, I was scrolling through Instagram looking at posts of someone’s life that I’m vaguely connected to, and comparing myself to her. 😞 Hearing you say how hating on, or being jealous of, someone else for what appears to be their version of perfection is not helpful to anyone, totally blew my mind. 😮 those words were definitely the universe telling me to staaahhhhhp already. 😭 so thank you for saying that.
That sweater is gorgeous! I literally hit subscribe just so I can peep your style. You look great and you inspire me to get it TOGETHER! I have 2 modes - schleppy or hot AF. So you gave me some motivation to look better in between 🥰
Excellent video, by far my favourite of yours! My bad habit is that I started shopping at the outlets and that, in my hunt for the next bargain, I lost my personal style. The other bad habit really stared out of necessity, l put on weight excessively and lost the sense of who I am. I would look at big girls and think they looked fab (i am talking about the ones who own it and thrive), “I could be just like them”, I would think, and -you guessed it- would shop accordingly! But of course we are who we are and for my part, I just never accepted graduating from a single digit to a double digit size (from a 6 to a 16) and so how can I ever be a woman I am rejecting for myself… clothes aren’t just clothes, they are an expression of our tqste, our socio economic world and our artistic individuality and by the same token, weight is t just weight: it’s a reflection of our relationship to ourselves, a sounding board of our past traumas and a billboard of our self esteem…be gentle people and chose kindness every time
I watch Diane in Denmark. She also chooses her full outfit before bed. Today is my seasonal wardrobe swap day. Big job but I will reap the benefits for weeks. Great video. So relatable. You are lovely!
OMG FINALLY BUYING THE RIGHT SIZE. whatever size it is! It's different every brand, every store. Just figure out what the right size is and buy it. Life changing. I definitely got that from growing up in the 90s/00s. Thanks for mentioning it!
Great video, thank you! I really liked the part about not comparing yourself to other people and the wasted energy aspect. I have never thought about it that way. ❤
I have been choosing and coordinating my outfits in advance since High School…I dislike disorganization and wardrobe malfunctions.. Then as a working adult, every weekend I pick and press about 10 ready to go outfits for the work week… yeah, I’m a little obsessed 🤪 BUT prepared and put together!

I am in my 30's but still take so much of your advice!! #2 in this video really hit home! I haven't found the right one still

@@ChristineCline-y8zlife is about sacrifices? It’s not 1931!
@@Kate-lk6tw you'll know when you're 70.
This is one of your best videos that we all can relate to so much. Thanks for showing your vulnerability.❤
I absolutely agree and have loved watching your style evolve and get more sophisticated. I totally identify!
One big lesson for me is to stop buying clothes for the life I DON'T live!!!
Agreed! ❤
Your longer hair is beautiful and looks really good on you!
You are the best. Thank you for being so honest. Really enjoyed this and the reminder that we can't compare ourselves to social media 'lives'
100%! ❤️❤️❤️
Yes! I did a video recently where I talk about that too. If you buy it JUST because it's cheap, it will just sit in your closet 😃❤️❤️
Tiktok is toxic, don't waste your time on that hateful content. I think you are wonderful Anna, so authentic!
I’ve been thinking about you all week re:Hurricane Milton! I am glad you are safe ❤
Thank you! Thankfully, we were not affected ❤️❤️
So agree that it’s a waste of energy tearing other people down. Imagine how wonderful the world would be if all of us spent time improving ourselves as you recommended! Love your channel. Keep it coming! ❤
I literally think about that all the time ❤️❤️❤️❤️
"Edit my closet often" hit me like YES!!!!
So glad you liked it! Thank you for watching ❤️❤️❤️
I learned to buy clothes based more on my lifestyle. Dressing for the weekend of soccer games year round is much easier when I realized this and had the appropriate items to withstand the northeast weather. Purchasing high quality classic items and investing in my comfort eas a step I deserved to take for myself.
Anna, I really enjoy your videos; and it's not just because of all the wonderful content. It's like having morning coffee with a friend. Thank you!
Best video ever! I so appreciate your vulnerability and authenticity in so kindly sharing these lessons learned that can benefit us all.
You are so welcome!❤️❤️
@dr.andriamiller3964
I am not under Vine therefore I don’t get free products to test.
You cannot go wrong with frame.
10:07-10:13: 😳
I just pulled out a large canvas zip bag from The Container Store and cleared out almost half of the clothes from my closet: sundresses, items I like but never wear, etc.
I like your low key honesty about "we have habits for reasons"
I'm so glad you liked this one! I was a little nervous to post but I'm so glad I did ❤️❤️
We couldn't be more different in age, race, and size but I must say your advice and styling is so inspirational.
Love this, Donna! ❤️❤️❤️
I really feel this was very empowering. I’m motivated to make some changes and you really got me. ❤❤❤
I just love you! Appreciate that you realized we all needed to hear this. You are one smart cookie!
I’ve always wanted to do the color analyzing but I never could find where to do it. Where did you go?
OMG, lots of people need to hear this!
I am the woman looking for a great basic white t- shirt. I have plenty, but want to keep them in rotation fresh.
Thanks for always keeping us awake and aware. 😊
Gildan tshirts, the unisex ones, think they're called. Inexpensive, and good med thickness.
@@ChristineCline-y8z. Thank You
That whole video was wonderful with great advice, but the last comment about comparing was totally on point!!! Good job!!!
You should do a video covering your favorite jewelry pieces and how you match them to outfits. You can also cover earrings to wear based on your face shape, and ear stack curation tips!
This is the best advice I’ve seen on UA-cam ever !!! This women knows what’s she’s talking about !,, thank you x
My closet is bad but getting better. Im going through it more. Hate cheap jewlery. I wear my workout clothes all week cause im a dog walker but like to dress up on Saturday
You are ME GIRL!!!! From the closet to getting ready. I am TAKING WHAT YOU ARE LAYING DOWN. THANK YOU.
I love this message. Instead of being discouraged when comparing yourself to others, be inspired by what you admire about them and work on yourself. ❤
Thanks for being open about the comparisons
Thank you for talking about comparison to other women . That’s a struggle a lot for me and I got encouraged from you . 😊
Thank you so much, Anna! I love your vulnerability, authenticity, and encouragement! You are a ray of sunshine and it's a joy to learn from you!!!😀🎉
Thank you so much, Christi! ❤️❤️
I love love Monroe Steele. She definitely has that “it girl” vibe but is very down to earth.
It’s so interesting how much stopping things in our lives have more impact than starting. Love the video 💜 I stopped buying and I’m learning to edit and use the clothes I have left.
Love this! ❤️❤️❤️❤️
Thank you, Rita! Glad you liked this one! ❤️❤️❤️
Anna… I wish I had heard this as a juvenile… this message is something girls need to hear.
Gladly I finally got over it but I’m in my 60’s.
Thank you Anna for sharing. I can identify with a lot of those points. Good reminder not to fall into those traps.
This was THE MOST helpful video I have watched on this topic. Thank you very much for the tips!
I definitely make the mistake of buying clothes that are too small and of course I don’t feel great when I wear them - I really gotta stop doing that!
Love your content. Comparing yourself to others never goes well. It always leaves me feeling badly about myself.
Totally agree with you on color coordinating your wardrobe. I do dark colors to light colors and it makes it so much easier to find what you want.
Anna, why are you so smart?!?! I always learn so much from you. Thank you for these tips. I like my wardrobe so much better since I found your channel. I appreciate you so much!
I'm a professional organizer. I was just about to suggest organizing by color right before you said it. 😄 Glad that system is working out for you!
Love your honesty. We all have our priorities when it comes to working out and shouldn’t compare ourselves. It is a difficult task. We don’t always hear about how “normal” our influencers lives really are. Just love your videos! Thank you.
Thank you for a great video❣️
You're too hard on yourself! You inspire a lot of us to be our best. Thank you for your energetic, stylish wisdom.😊
BTW, you'd make an excellent "life coach" if not a "style coach!" ❤
retail therapy... the struggle is real. Ive been trying to get me a blazer, but living in florida and WFH, cant justify it.
I love my blazer but I'm in northern FL! Def don't if you aren't feeling them tho! ❤️❤️
I love your honesty. Thank you so much! Don’t compare yourself to others is FANTASTIC advice 👏🏼
Excellent points! I’ve had to stop doing many/most of these things, too! I especially liked your tips about self care. (Former mental health professional here.) You come across as genuine. I subscribed. Thank you for sharing your wisdom.
My whole identity used to be size 0/XS….. high school class of 2004 lol…. Now I proudly have ALL sizes in my closet!! Such a good tip!!
Same here!! Always wore the smallest size. Now, after the dreaded menopause, things have shifted a bit and I buy jeans a size or two bigger than I used too. Nothing drastic, still slim, but finally admitted to myself that I will never be. size O again!
The right size is the best size! 🙌🙌❤️❤️❤️
Always and still looking for that perfect white t shirt😂
as i was watching this video, I was scrolling through Instagram looking at posts of someone’s life that I’m vaguely connected to, and comparing myself to her.
So you gave me some motivation to look better in between 🥰
hahahah I can soooo relate to that!!! Time to work on those in between times (but I sooo feel you on that! ) 😃❤️
But of course we are who we are and for my part, I just never accepted graduating from a single digit to a double digit size (from a 6 to a 16) and so how can I ever be a woman I am rejecting for myself… clothes aren’t just clothes, they are an expression of our tqste, our socio economic world and our artistic individuality and by the same token, weight is t just weight: it’s a reflection of our relationship to ourselves, a sounding board of our past traumas and a billboard of our self esteem…be gentle people and chose kindness every time
Anna I tell you your videos are the most relatable out there. Thank you for being so you👍🏼👍🏼😎
I watch Diane in Denmark. She also chooses her full outfit before bed. Today is my seasonal wardrobe swap day. Big job but I will reap the benefits for weeks. Great video. So relatable. You are lovely!
Well done Anna! Thank you for being you!
You're back❤. Did you escape the hurricane in your area?
Yes! It actually didn't hit us! ❤️❤️
Such good advice! Especially about comparison ❤. It’s important to be your authentic self and wear what is your true style!
Yes! ❤️❤️
OMG FINALLY BUYING THE RIGHT SIZE. whatever size it is! It's different every brand, every store. Just figure out what the right size is and buy it. Life changing. I definitely got that from growing up in the 90s/00s. Thanks for mentioning it!
Great wisdom; self-love goes a long way towards feeling fabulous no matter what you're wearing.
Great video, thank you! I really liked the part about not comparing yourself to other people and the wasted energy aspect. I have never thought about it that way. ❤
I think this is one of your absolute best videos!!! Your bonus 11th tip was the best one of all !!
We all needed that reminder. Thank you ❤!!!
I have been choosing and coordinating my outfits in advance since High School…I dislike disorganization and wardrobe malfunctions..
Then as a working adult, every weekend I pick and press about 10 ready to go outfits for the work week…
yeah, I’m a little obsessed 🤪 BUT prepared and put together!
Saving this video so I can rewatch monthly until I form some of the smart and helpful habits….so much of this video resonates with me!!! Thank you!!
Hello Anna I have watched quite a few of your videos and you come across very sincere.I have never written before.I really enjoyed this one like ive enjoyed your other videos.Your tips are great. You look lovely .You always look nice in what you wear.I love your beautiful hair and smile.Love from me from Northern Italy❤
I use to watch Busbee but you have surpassed her. Congrats!
I love her! ❤️❤️❤️
Monroe Steele is awesome, love her fashion sense. I get alot of outfit inspo from her pieces 😊
My best pieces are the ones that are unique to my Aesthetic
Yes! And yes love her!! ❤️❤️
I am in my 30's but still take so much of your advice!! #2 in this video really hit home! I've been through some really stressful things these past couple months and have found I'm really discontent with almost everything right now, especially clothes. I found I've spent more on clothes than ever, but it's really just ME that needs worked on!
I feel I was listening to myself giving me advice. You made so many excellent points. Like you're my twin, (ha!). It's nice I can hear this from a beauty blogger. I'm a work in progress. You make a good model showing us outfits I can relate to. (you have weight issues?) no way. Thanks again for cheering me up.
These points are so spot on! Thank you.
Glad you liked this one! ❤️❤️
