I feel like that every year too. I think what I've learned from doing this is to choose the designers I relate to the most and then narrow down what they are doing. So for me versus looking at everyone because it will be everything I look to Tory Burch, Brandon Maxwell, Chanel, Dior, Max Mara, Hermès and Erdem! But I have noticed that this year no one was doing high preppy style, grunge or oversized structured tailoring so that's something!
Yeah, I feel like coercing women into wearing skirts over pants is actually to benefit men who desire to wear skirts. They always try to get women to veer into mens' territory, but it's to benefit men who want to dress like women. In the same way I'm never going to strap a purse over my chest like a soldier carrying a rifle.
The trends I will focus on in 2025 (I'm 58 years young) are sporty chic (I have my eye on navy flared track pants with side stripes), semi sheer tops (also worn with contrasting colour bras or camis underneath) and ladylike (but not from top to bottom or it will age me, I like to mix & match).

Very lovely presentation! I think for me I really like the stripes and maybe plaids. I love baby pink so definitely will be looking to wear something like that for Spring! It’s obvious this is a true labor of love for you! As for me, I’m looking forward to bringing more tailored pieces into my everyday life (less knee-jerk reliance on jeans!), growing my palette of “new neutrals,” and playing with unexpected, avant-garde elements like trousers with wrap half skirts. I do think plaid is timeless. I was thrilled when I scored a plaid coat in a charity shop (thrift) recently which looks very much like one I saw online worn by an actress fashionista who’ve name I have forgotten. Now I’m on the hunt for a Chanel short jacket in pale shades of (I think is boucle) whether it’s ‘in’ or night. I plan to pair it with jeans and some kind of flat shoe (😊maybe even trainers/sneakers.

I like the androgynous look, I have several trouser suits, however I always wear them with a sporty or feminine blouse, it's essential to mix and match imo. The Saint Laurent suits are masculine from top to bottom. I'd never wear a tie for example but a long thin sequin/black scarf (a la Kate Moss) adds a casual, flowy, feminine and even elongating touch.
Very informative & fun … I’m not very trendy , I lean more towards classic , not to mention depending on your body type sometimes current trends may not work for all . I love plaid! To me it’s timeless … stripes are great but not always flattering…. But a pin stripe is always a staple … love florals / paisley if it’s done less like upholstery & more fashion like . Colours - baby pink NO, dusty pink is what is in my wardrobe and has been for years because it is classy, goes well with navy, black, grey, denim, it's an underrated neutral, feminine and chic. Dark browns, I've noticed nobody makes the distinction between a warm chocolate brown, which I love, and an excessively dark and dull brown, which is deeply unflattering imo. Pantone's mocha mousse is a wonderful colour in all its variations: brown pink, grey brown, etc. I hope you will feature it in your colour video. Navy, always chic, timeless and suits everyone. Beige, camel, buttery yellow, very light grey, they don't suit most people despite the popularity of beige trench coats, etc. they can actually look very draining, especially on blondes. Denim looks good on everyone except very light denim, I prefer mid-wash and dark (but not too dark) washes.
I'm also curious how we'll see more mocha mousse in fashion! I've seen many home trends bring it up but it will be cool to see how people embrace it on their bodies too!

I totally get where you're coming from, I thought so too when I started to apply more of the images. It seems like a lot of designers did almost the matching stripes to stripes but I'm curious how the fashion forward really take this on in the New Year. Only people who “get excited” are those fashion workers, not The People. Here in Europe the second hand market is booming due to inflation and war, we have trouble paying rents and buying food, never mention how expensive the electricity bills are, here, as if nothing is happening, as if everything is perfect, peaceful and we have extra cash to splash. I really wish, it has been years since Covid, I haven’t bought a decent new clothes
I love that in fashion there is always something for everyone and am curious what patterns you do like! Or are you more of someone who is drawn to solids?
For the pants trend with a shortened leg, you can also shorten one leg of a pair of pants that you already have. Definitely, the sport style can be chic, even elegant. I definitely think some of Dior's looks from the summer show are elegant. I think it's good how you present the different trends: you don't judge them, but present them with suitable examples, you give a comprehensive overview and don't select everything that relates to a specific brand like Lilisilk or whatever most of the others do Advertising doesn't fit. I can no longer watch the Quite Luxury exclusive videos. You do it refreshingly differently.

The only trend that seems "new" is the high-low style of pants. But even with that beautiful Bottega Veneta tailoring and fabric, it looked sort of awkward and half-done. The idea of a skirt over pants being fashion... I'll just let the entire Asian continent comment on that one, and I'll move on. Bubble hems look too Y2K if they're short, but I kinda of like them in a midi or as on a shirt over long, loose pants.
These got better toward the end for me. The first ones I'm going to pass. Bad flashbacks from a bygone era, especially from dresses over pants. Yikes. I like the classier, almost artistic interpretation of sheer. The key seems to be draping and layering quality fabrics. But I am going to have to try hard to avoid looking like I'm going to a rave in 1997. I'm a long-time fan of capes and jackets with structured, almost architectural collars. I could see myself investing in a sporty anorak jacket and pairing it with a midi or maxi skirt. That would be a cool take of something wearable. I find it funny that as I enter my forties, younger women are exploring classically feminine looks. I wouldn't have been caught dead wearing a Jackie O-style boucle blazer and pen skirt 20 years ago but now... It's almost as if I've been given permission to look and feel a bit matronly 😅 I love that we're embracing dark brown and burgundy again. I went all in last fall. I see that trend sticking.

It's funny even when I'm putting together this video I really try to mix and match different things that might appeal to various people. I'm glad we're staying embracing ladylike fashion. Male designers constantly attempt to coerce women into androgynous styles, which only ever benefits men. As ladies, the less "grung-ey" our fashion/attitudes, the higher our standards for men remain. Yes. There is a direct correlation.
When I do these videos I always try my hardest to nail these pronunciations and I'm always pushing myself to learn and get better with designers I am unfamiliar with. I love that you guys help me along the way with this. Though I appreciate the help what I appreciate most is when someone can deliver that same information with a bit more kindness and grace.

Aw thank you!! I think that would be two totally separate videos! So I am planning a wearable trends video right now :) We're on the same track. I love seeing the art of the runway but I agree that the most important is to really boil it down to what we can experience in our every day lives!
Oh interesting! I can totally see that! I think designers tend to go back and forth between that minimalism and maximalism don't they. I am happy to know my personal style now in my 30's so I think I'll be sticking to the way I've been going with that!

Here in Europe the second hand market is booming due to inflation and war, we have trouble paying rents and buying food, never mention how expensive the electricity bills are, here, as if nothing is happening, as if everything is perfect, peaceful and we have extra cash to splash. I really wish, it has been years since Covid, I haven’t bought a decent new clothes

I love that in fashion there is always something for everyone and am curious what patterns you do like! Or are you more of someone who is drawn to solids?
For the pants trend with a shortened leg, you can also shorten one leg of a pair of pants that you already have. Definitely, the sport style can be chic, even elegant. I definitely think some of Dior's looks from the summer show are elegant.
I think it's good how you present the different trends: you don't judge them, but present them with suitable examples, you give a comprehensive overview and don't select everything that relates to a specific brand like Lilisilk or whatever most of the others do Advertising doesn't fit. I can no longer watch the Quite Luxury exclusive videos. You do it refreshingly differently.

Micro shorts were popular in the 1960's
They definitely have a rotation of being in and out every so often!
The only trend that seems "new" is the high-low style of pants. But even with that beautiful Bottega Veneta tailoring and fabric, it looked sort of awkward and half-done. The idea of a skirt over pants being fashion... I'll just let the entire Asian continent comment on that one, and I'll move on. Bubble hems look too Y2K if they're short, but I kinda of like them in a midi or as on a shirt over long, loose pants.
I agree that the short bubble hem is a bit to young for me but I am very much drawn to the romance of the mini version!

I like the classier, almost artistic interpretation of sheer. The key seems to be draping and layering quality fabrics. But I am going to have to try hard to avoid looking like I'm going to a rave in 1997.
I'm a long-time fan of capes and jackets with structured, almost architectural collars. I could see myself investing in a sporty anorak jacket and pairing it with a midi or maxi skirt. That would be a cool take of something wearable.
I find it funny that as I enter my forties, younger women are exploring classically feminine looks. I wouldn't have been caught dead wearing a Jackie O-style boucle blazer and pen skirt 20 years ago but now... It's almost as if I've been given permission to look and feel a bit matronly 😅
I love that we're embracing dark brown and burgundy again. I went all in last fall. I see that trend sticking.

I'm glad we're staying embracing ladylike fashion. Male designers constantly attempt to coerce women into androgynous styles, which only ever benefits men. As ladies, the less "grung-ey" our fashion/attitudes, the higher our standards for men remain. Yes. There is a direct correlation.
