      Inches I could see, I would be very surprised to see the return of points because they would have to invalidate all the existing teams and rework them which I think most folks would hate

    15:36 a big bonus of the measuring tools over tape measures is it means people don’t bounce off the game because of the wargame ‘smell’ that tape measures seem to have.

      That's true! And I have been a long-term advocate but I do kind of think red plus blue is taking the piss

      @@TabletopImpulse More over, "red + blue" is just "3blue" - it would look much nicer. And we had multiplications from beginning (with number of whites in movement characteristics).

    19:43 from playing on Friday night the extra attack die has a big impact as it lets you get 5 dice on a bunch of melee attacks. That’s bigger than you’d think. For the dogs going to GA 1 it gives you interesting options as your warriors are still GA 2, so you can make up your mind if you want the double activation or if you want two activations to stall out your opponent.

      Mmm. I think one of the things that's becoming apparent to everyone is that attack dice is the most important stat on a melee weapon

    You’re bang on about the jump rule and lack of risk, mate. When I saw Bheta Decima, I thought: ‘environmental hazards and risk! So cool!’ However, that is not the case, and it sucks, in my opinion. Having hazards on the map that can hurt - potentially kill - both players is an excellent mechanic, and I think there should be official rules for it, regardless of whether they’re used in competitive play it’ll not. Personally, I’m all about narrative play.

      I mean if you mainly play at your kitchen table I suppose you are free to ignore the rules change

      @@TabletopImpulse exactly, and that’s what I indeed do. I just think it adds spice to the proceedings having threats that can affect both teams. I can understand how competitive players wouldn’t want their strategies ruined by randomness, though.

    13:14 It’s worth noting that Void Dancers aren’t just still good, they are still really, really good. They’re just not do not play against people you like frustrating now.

    4:15 I agree that they could’ve made a change to the rule that makes players still have to consider risk vs reward (I think a movement tax would’ve been best).
    The obscured/visible change is less of an issue in my mind because it would’ve taken a lot of extra work to make it land somewhere in the middle. The Kill Team team has been doing significantly better about writing concisely in the last few months & I’m very grateful. I don’t want to push them into a situation where they revert to word salad mode.

      I definitely think they have a technical writer in the studio now whose job is to make what the game designers produce make sence

    I think red + blue is absolutely fine. Coz most people have two hands and can very often whole both their pentagon stick and their square movement tool and hold them together and measure :)

      Yes, and then with the third hand they can pick up and move the model from one end of the movement tools to the other. Very convenient for both Genestealer and Chaos cultists!

      @@TabletopImpulse well tbf, they are not moving 9” they are only checking if they are within 9” for the purpose of not losing an APL

    i think failing a jump test could have given injured for the turn. for most teams that would mean -1 to BS that turn. still risky but doesnt leave you exposed and vulnerable
    enjoying the warpcoven buffs. keen to play them now. will paint them as black legion(?), just black and silver

    For me, when an ability or rule happens on a 2+ I feel like it should just be an automatic thing, the dice roll is unnecessary.
    Like with jump tests…..

      Sure, but also, It's different because it's a strategic choice to make the jump or move in a different direction. Resurrection is something that you just have to deal with. For me there is a difference.

    As a Warpcoven player, 2 goats is usually better than the marines 90% of the time I play 4-6 goats they are brilliant, rarely is it worth taking 2 marines they are so slow and I think just don’t synergise with the sorcerers.

    1:57 Called it.
    I know you don’t like these changes, but they wanted everyone to play on BD they were absolutely necessary. The terrain is, at best, horrifically poor to start with. The terrible rules were the last nail in it’s coffin.
    I suppose the best thing if you wanted to play that risk & reward style would be to specifically state that BD is not intended for competitive play, but that’s basically the same as telling everyone to throw it in the bin.

      It's weird terrain because it was clearly some new bits developed for Kill team but it's really hard to make work. At least in season one when we got difficult to use were house shovlings we understood what was going on
