Take a ZX-10R Add: Full Akro System, Air Filter, ECU Flash, K-Tech Upgrade, Brake Pads, Carbon Wheels, Rearsets, Backup Race Fairings, Two Sets of Slicks, a season of Trackdays, New Suit, Helmet, Gloves, Boots and still have 10K left over vs the SP models from BMW and Ducati.
Once you line up the lap times next to the price tags the GSXR1000R rings everyone's bell.
Yep, price tag should be shown for each bike.
The GiXXeR is massively underrated,
Not only best for your pound,
But also the fastest accelerating.
And it overall works great.
Ahh yes, the classic rallying cry of the Gixxer owner..
Funny, every manufactures fan boi's have one when they loose these comparison tests.
For Ducati fan boi's like myself it's always been "yeah, but if you want a bike with character you go with the Ducati".."
Except now we're winning these comparo tests for the firat time ever! Strange times
@@vanduc996 you're beating the wrong bush pal 🎩
I'm not a GiXXeR owner, although I used to have one. But now I'm riding European SuperBike (I stay away from specifying).
And you are way off by calling out the fanboyism, I respect any bike choice, well almost. Comparing the V4SP with the Suzuki on a level is ridiculous when you consider you can have pretty much all the performance for almost half the price. And now imagine to check Yoshimura catalogue for the rest of money. That wipes the floor with your Ducati on exclusivity.
And besides, I used to love Ducati, but they became men's version of L.Vuitron.
Even you confirmed it with your proud admission to fanboism.
@@ducedevlstear2471 You missed my point DUce..
Which was to point out the limited use of these kind of tests.
The Ducati v4SP "won" this "test".., So What? What does that mean?
There's so many variables involved, I just think it's funny when someone pipes up and says, somewhat sorely, "yeah but if cost were equal..."
Yeah, and riding talent, and rider preference and, and , and, and in the ultimate crucible of Superbike competition apparently the R1 is now the "best" Superbike. Last year and the years previous it was the ZX10.., and yet neither was "winning" these tests..
Are you happy with your bike DUcE? Is it the best for you? I certainly hope so..
Cuz I'm over the moon thrilled with my slow as f**k, ancient 996 that I've owned for almost 20 years and have close to 90 K kms on. A real L. Vuitron Ducati if ever there was one!!
Cheers Mate :)
The GSXR1000R is the best performance for the money spent hands down, the cheapest bike out of them all in fact and it still gets a solid 4th place, whereas the Ducati is completely out of reach for most people price wise….
Cheaper and uglier.
Ducati not relaible bike
@@awesomeerr8765 ...and still better lol.
And dont' even start, I also own a 2021 "last place" ZX-10R
@@chandreshrevankar316 crap take bud. Ducatis last 3 bikes have had less recalls than BMW or Aprilla
So you use the standard ZX-10R but you use the more track focused version of every other bike? How is that supposed to be an accurate assessment?
Agree, the ducati V4 SP Is as close to a track bike out the box
Its possible that this is what Kawasaki provided for the comparo.
These guys are full of shit the zx10r is a Hella of a bike I've rode every bike none and I have a 2020 zx10r and I wouldn't trade it for anything and I don't really care to ride a different one I've had the gsxr it was nice but got old sold the r1 the zx10r I just love it its amazing bike
@@madintobikes Kawi has the ZX-10RR, but all 500 units were sold out, so it makes sense to test out the base ZX-10R which is still in production in order to help buyers with their decision
@@sushi_edits225 I have one and it's just a different kind of animal😅
These type of reviews are normally fuelled by “who invited us the the best launch”
😂
💵
Wild because if you watch Ari Henning and Zach Courts review the Duck, it gets SLAPPED by a 10 year old GSX-R 1000 in lap time. Now magically it's a perfect missile...also strange because 44 Teeth found the V4s was also a half second slower on track vs the RSV4 BEFORE this year's update. Also even more funny is that Ducati wouldn't let people test the V4R against other bikes, which if this V4 is sooooo good, they wouldn't be worried.
Ya paid for
I'm still confused that the fireblade got such a good review last year amd won on track and now in this review the brakes are dog shit... I mean wich is it??
I wish they would use the Kawasaki Zx10 RR if they were going to use the R1M, each bike besides the GSXR R is a minimum 7-12 thousand USD more than the base Zx10r which the Kawi Zx10 RR is in the price range as the other bikes and it’s specifically for the track when this is a track competency demonstration exercise.
I was wondering the same thing
isnt the RR limited in 500 bikes? i think thats why they couldnt
@@giovanniquargentan6198 no
I don't think these blokes know to much
@@giovanniquargentan6198 I'd have to travel less miles to get an RR than I'd have to travel to get my hands on any new KTM, strangely.
the panigale v4sp doesnt even come as standard with the akrapovic exhaust and for a £32k price tag. would you not be better off buying a low mileage 2020 v4s with the akro pipe already fitted and then buying the £3k carbon wheels???
and the 2006 - k6 gsxr 1000 still beats it around a track 🤣🤣🤣🤣.
Put some ThyssenKrupp wheels on the RSV4 and I bet the already best lap time of the group gets even better. That Ducati has carbon wheels on it and was the 2nd fastest? The RSV4 is still the best track focused bike you can buy.
The Ducati they used is also listed at 39K....
I absolutely hate it when journalists don’t fiddle with ADJUSTABLE suspensions and electronics in comparisons, whether road or track. That doesn’t ‘level out’ the playing field at all. That’s just hoping the out-of-the-box set up is good for whatever test you’re doing (road or track). If you really wanna level out the playing field, use the same tires, just make sure to mention all the changes you’ve done for each bike from the stock setup.
100% this. You got one job to do. At least do that well. Amateur UA-camrs do more thorough testing. One session per bike is bordering insanity.
Spot on
They need that sweet ducati paycheck.
Also it wouldnt look good to have them say that essentially a bike worth less than half the ducati is just as good.
Its called bias.
Tune in to their next comparo: were they compare a V2 panigale with a ninja 400, R3 and call it the battle of the 2 cylindres.
@@Stratocasterhead51 Relax.
Interesting group test. Thanks guys. Curious, why would you not adjust the suspension according to track conditions? Odd to hear you guys complaint that bike A or B is not well damped from factory if you have the ability to set it up...and you don't.
Yea, even on some trackdays you have the option of getting setup help. There's heaps of adjustability in any modern sportsbike, hearing bikes being "too soft" and getting bad marks for it is just daft.
Seems like bunch of noobs giving their opinion
I think it’s fair because the bikes are compared on the street and on track giving perspective owners who are looking for a street or track bike the heads up on which bike is set up best for that application. Sure you can make adjustments on the bikes but how far does that actually go towards the experience you want? Also if the manufacturer set the bike up for the street it will score well in the street testing and probably sell more bikes as most never see the track anyway.
Of course there are arguments either way but perspective is key.
@@mik3ymomo You think it's fair to criticise a sportsbike track behaviour, because the journalists are being "lazy" and do not want to adjust suspension settings? I totally disagree! It's like saying that a certain sport tyre is bad, because you are using road pressure tires on the track and it doesn't perform well...when you can simply adjust pressure tire according to track conditions...
@@PSCadu but there are two sides to the coin, track and street. So yes it’s fair.
Really want to see a mega test where all the bikes are tested with a full system and a ecu flash and any simple restrictions removed like smaller inlets ect,
To see what's the best minus the legal restrictions,
I'm sure I'm not the only one who would like to see that
Mss performance tuned my 2022 zx10r, 200whp, totaly different bike now !
Still would take the ZX-10R, its just an ecu reflash from being an absolute weapon.
Yes
24 hour race , stock bike, Ducati breaks the engine in lap 1, Aprilia in lap 2, Kawasaki wins the race, after that the bike lasts 20 years racing 😄
The aprilia engine is bulletproof as long as you do the valve service as recommended. I run the dog shit out of mine with 0 issues. Super reliable bike
@@erik3131 , how much for Valve check? Í hear 1000 ...
@@Mike.4639 that's about the average price
You thinking Suzuki now !!
@@Mike.4639yeah they’re expensive alright.
Aprilia for me
No lap times? Or least a lap time ranking. Considering that the 'best' bike you chose wasn't actually the 'fastest', the lap times could very well be the deciding factor to many.
It would go against their narrative of Europe>Japan. These people have favorite bikes before the tests begin. Its a well known fact that ducatis FEEL fast and exciting due to having the highest possible spec of equipment: brembos, ohlins... but ironically they are more often than not slower on track than the traditional big 4.
Suzuki for the win, best bang for buck!
That fireblade sounds amazing
Can someone explain why the Zx10RR isn't in this line up, the CBR in this test is at the same price point. One would even argue the standard zx10r isn't on the same tier as the rest of the bikes. It's also pretty wild that the Ducati is being claimed to be the better road bike, that's just plain Ole somebody got paid. It's a beautiful bike no doubt, absolute beast, but come on. A better everyday rider then the BMW that comes with heated grips and cruise control.
Cause it would beat them all for the price
Value for money tho . You could get a gsxr1000 new for 14k . Spend 20k on it and have same price as a m1000rr. But probably full superstock spec bike for track
Yeah but you would never tell anyone you spent 20k on an a gixer in this company.
or pick up an RSV4 Factory at the end of the year for around £19K ~ £20K (save £3000 / £4000) which saves over £10K on the Ducati or BMW !! and £5K on the Honda & Yamaha
@@sk2283 standard RSV4 16k job done.
Lol then resell that shit for 8k? What a waste of money
@@tuyenhoang5546 try buying any decent sports bike in the UK under £10K ! you have to pay £8K for a 5 year old ZX10r !
This was great lads, thanks very much. I just bought the V4SP a few months back and it’s just immense, I know it’s very expensive for folk but I’ve wanted a Ducati all my life and finally got it, what a weapon it is and it’s true, you get what you pay for.
These reviews can actually end up saving lives on the road👍🏽
2021 Aprilia rsv4 factory...got one...2023 Ducati V4s got one.... love them both.
Sounds like the bimmer has rider aids that wont allow full throttle at certain lean angles. Thats actually a good thing for the street... but bad if you are racing the bike. I actually prefer cable throttles in cars and bikes. Gives better throttle response and gives the rider/driver more control. Unfortunately in this day in age cable throttles are virtually extinct.
ducati is £33k and zx10r is £16k, why not use the zx10rr if using best from each manafacturer 🤷♂️ even then its nearly £10k difference!
Cos they gotta make ducati look good or they wont get one for their next comparison.
Bordering on ludicrous actually.
Euro simping is a serious problem people.
I've got the V4SP and it's madness. No other bikes does it for me.
The 2 championship contenders r at The bottom on the track test
Hang about.. the Gixxer ranked over the M1000RR? Do what? Erm. 🙄🤦🏻♂️
And Ducati won. What a surprise.
He is a Suzuki team rider🤑
Great video.
Its been a long time coming!!!!!!!!
Think id go for the aprilia coz the ducati is just too dear
Agree, the even power delivery and predictability, wheelie control, of the Ducati. BEST all around of them all .
Forget the comparison... R1M design 😍😍😍😍is true love
what no one has noticed here 22:22 is that how quietly that have placed the European Bikes at top 3 while discarding all the Brilliant Japanese at the back seat....
Unliked this video, alas, UA-cam shut them down too.... 🤟
Why did you guys not used the zx10RR
Ducati wins, fancy that 🙄
Has Ducati won every group test at FB this year?
GSXR 4th...?! Better than the BMW?! Definitely nothing to do with Tim racing one 👍🏻
Fireblade was first last year but this year it’s 6th on the road and third on track.
£33k special edition Ducati rather than the standard V4 or even the S
Same story with the BMW.
Come on lads 🤦🏼♂️😂
Brilliant reviews! Very different POV from other reviewers. Nice to have this. Thx!..😎
With the zx10rr u mentioned that it is hard to tip in or turn. I totally disagree. My 2021 zx10 handling is bloody mint mate. What tyres r u guys using and have u set up the suspension at all or maybe the way u ride?? I’m just curious
Can’t go wrong with the base RSV4…..best bang for the buck !
Save a whole lotta money, the non-factory is a bad azz bike for sure.....
So why didn't you choose the zx10rr ?
10:12
world's SUZUKI champion GSXR1000R 😁🏍
Can y’all please do the 600cc class plz
At least mention that the costs Ducati 10-15,000£ more than everything else.
You could pretty much buy 2 GSXRs for the price of one v4sp!!
Maybe you should have a go on a WSBK track. Same results? Dunno
You guys lost the piece of paper the lap times were scribbled on?
I know you guys yap on about feel, confidence, excitement… but could some stone hard facts actually back up your rankings?
You have access to data loggers.
Get some acceleration figures. Braking figures. Lap times… is that so hard?
Curiously the ducati often “feels” the fastest but in the end loses out to a 15 year old K5 Gsxr on track.
Christ, you have access to a track and these fantastic machines. Can you NOT make it look like amateur hour?
Plus the fastest bike somehow came in second. WTF?
@@fivespeed3026 It’s not all about speed. My Street Triple R isn’t as fast as my R6 but it’s more fun. This is a test of sports bikes on the track, not race bikes - even if the BMW was the fastest, I wouldn’t buy it because I’d want the engine noise of the R1 or RSV4 etc.
All that said I do agree with the original post, some facts would be useful however they seem to conduct their tests at track days (which is fine, that’s what the majority of owners will use them for, not racing) and UK track days ban lap timing, so they couldn’t tell us without getting in trouble.
2020 zx10r breaks amazing power mind blowing handing wow 👌 the sound with agood Exhaust can't beat it the looks the best
Boom there is you bike review you will thank me later
I guess that you want to mention at 22:30 honda insteas of bmw😊.
I respect you fast riders don't get me wrong but after all no one knows which one is the best without the application of the personalised set up. By having this compero watched I don't feel I've learnt much and I've still just gotta go for my favourite engine sound then lol
The previous year the fireblade won and there wasmt much complaint about the brakes yet in this test they are the worst? Please explain?? I'm in the market for a new bike and test rode the V4S, S1000rr and Blade. The blade stood out but I'm concerned about braking issues. So are the Blades brakes crap near the limited or worthy of top spot as per last year's results??
This review is bullshit. They're lying through their teeth. I'm looking for another review as well
Can you repeat this test with them in Superstock trim? I daresay the results would be flipped.
Great video but im comfused why RSV4 brake is the 4th but all the same caliper?
Someone is getting paid
I actually can't say anything about that 2021 but the 2020 zx10r that I have is the best bike I've ever rode they are high
Blade beauty 🥰👌
How much difference in power from last year to this year on the dyno for Ducati? You said new model down “quite a bit “.
The Aprilia, Ducati, and BMW are the best. I agree. Now factor in a tall rider and the bmw is the winner. But if the Aprilia fit me it would be my choice for sure.
Actually BMW stand behind Honda and Suzuki on this truck test
@@liv0003 what about Yamaha i heard R1 is the best in track is that right 🤔
Only complaint with the Honda is it doesn't come with steel braided brake lines, they say there is a better feel without them but idk I'm sure most people are just gonna swap those out
ill take the green one , great video
Well done!!
If you do a wheelie for long enough it will trip a code on the bike and it will turn off the traction control and the abs on the fire blade and Yamaha
A lot of data to take on but awesome review by the experts 👍
I love my BMW M1000rr & Ducati Superlegerra
On reviews like this do the bikes get set up suspension and ergonomic wise to the riders or straight out of the show room floor they go? and tires??
Ducati V4S instead of an SP would have been a more even comparison?
Why put the suspensions into a fixed mode!?
Is the kaw that bad or rea that good
It’s Mega inn’int?
Ducati panigale V4 Sp 💪👌👍👊
Nice video. Thank you. 👍👍👍👍
Seems a bit silly to exclude the BMW S1000RR from the test in favour of the M since this would be the most affordable version or you should have included both bikes. Surely the electronic suspension in the S which the M does not have would be a significant difference that would warrant comparison. We all know the M is just a base bike for teams to modify or for people with more money than sense.
I don't care whatever people says I will take that Suzuki any day for whatever price.
Good save those who buys bikes on these guys recommendation.
Finally !!! Yeah ! I love my Ducati V4SP
Actually honest feedback about what i have said from day 1, The RRR has the worst brakes out there with the ABS in the loop... Hello bypass and consistent brakes finally!
How easy or difficult is it to bypass the abs on these modern bikes? Also, if you're riding fast on road would you likely run into abs issues or is it only if you're near the absolute limit on track? I test rode a blade and am considering getting it but concerned that everyone rips into the brakes... cheers 👍
@@Teebat316 Very easy... brass line caps, and standard style lines and your good. maybe will post up a little video. as bypassed on the sc82 and mine sc77.
Isn't it cheating when ducati engine has much more capacity than the litre class bikes.? 100 cc more than other bikes.
And nobody seems to have a problem with it?
What does it matter? If they could put in a 1400cc engine and still kill it when it comes to cornering, agility and braking, I'd take it.
Here we come the Kawasaki zx10r devotees who don't accept their favorite motorbikes get bad reviews
Thanks Guys✌️
Gsxr 1000k6 beat ducati v4s around a track. Its on youtube. 2 US boys were the riders i think
yeah yeah, and there are youtube vids of people destroying H2's with a 400cc. The rider plays a huge part, and so does the agenda of the content creator. That old Gsxr k6 would be the bike used in 2021 WSBK if it really could own the modern bikes regardless of who was on it. Just my opinion, you're free to have yours. Cheers.
Now which company gonna pay best ..?
Trying to understand why all these top shelf bikes in the comparison, except you tested a regular zx10r and not the up tech zx10rr. I think your video's are very good, I enjoy them, but running the zx10r, versus the upscale top spec bikes ( besides the Suzuki )..... I think decision is a shortfall of the videos'...... and for the cash, the Suzuki still holds the TOP bike for the cash.
I like the attempt but you didn't pick equivalent trim levels across the board.
How much power did the Panigale and the other bikes loose for Euro 5?
A ecu flash and exhaust will get rid of the euro 5 power loss
How come.ths eurobike Cant match and win over Kawa and R1 in SBK 😅peace
The two bikes that came in last won the WorldSBK championship.. hmmm
The WSBK Kawasaki is *entirely* different than the floor model. They are less expensive than most for a reason. But infinitely upgradeable.
😂 you think there is anything standard about a WSB factory bike?! Kawasaki and Yamaha have done well because they have the two best riders and Kawasaki have no MotoGP program so all their racing efforts and budget has gone into WSB for years.
@@Mockle07 I feel you. My opinion is from motocross and now riding a homologated Ducati where almost everything has been swapped. I’ve owned plenty of fast bikes/cars and there is a huge price and parts disparity between a stock Kawasakai RR & a stork Panigale V4R.(or SP). Mazda Miatas are great auto crossing/track day cars and there is a litany of parts for it. But a Porsche is going to run out the gate because the parts are already there. I just want Kawasaki to step up their game on the show room floor. I’ve always been enamored with the Ninja since being a kid. 💯 it is the rider. EDIT: terrible grammar. EDIT again: autocorrect sucks. But you get the idea 🥸
@@brandonamison8950 haha absolutely agree mate. You can’t compare a world level factory race bike to what we can go and buy in the shops, it’s not even close. Even the “race specials” that they sell have totally different suspension, engine software, many different engine internals, wheels, brakes etc etc. Even the parts that have to be ‘standard’ are still made specifically… it’s not like Kawasaki are nipping to the production line and just whipping a frame off that to throw into Johnny’s race bike 😂
@@Mockle07 I know that obviously I'm just saying it's funny . The r1 is the best track bike to race with from what I see not just because of world sbk. A lot of winners in different organizations are all on r1s not stock but the r1 chassis and engine. I'm a Honda fan but I think Honda and Yamaha are the best most reliable bikes
21 Rsv4 is no joke
Interesting video but ultimately very little of what they say makes much difference. Buy whatever bike you like and make it your own.
no wonder ducati and aprilia have extra 100cc than other.they should make 1 liter bike for better battle.
Nah, Even if they would put 1400cc in a bike and still be better at cornering, agility and braking, I'd certainly take that instead.
What sort of a person doesn`t change the suspension to match there weight I mean every manufacturer will have a different idea of what the average persons weight is so talking about factor setting is pointless and has no merit.
Still choosing the BMW
New sub here
So starts off by saying how they are going to dial in the bikes for track. Specifically mentioning that they will probably turn the anti wheelie off, then complains about the R1 having abrupt anti wheelie.....when it can clearly be turned off in the settings 🤔
The only bike they attempt to adjust in any way seems to be the BMW
Who is mv agusta
R1 🔥🔥
Sorry I turned up late with my Tesi H2.
Jonathan Rea would disagree and use his 6 year SBK world championships as a statement on ZX10R being one of the best track bikes even compared with the track versions of every other bike model, WHICH is completely unfair to the ZX10R OR it speaks a lot on the bike as it’s base model is being compared to the best versions of the others.
apples to oranges, his bike is not factory and is taken apart monthly if not more often.
that being said, they should have put the ZX10R-R in this shootout.
“Kawasaki ZX10R last place” *Sad Jonathan Rea noises*
I can guarantee you if you spent even half the difference in cost between the Kawasaki and Ducati on the zx10r you would easily have a better bike. Out of the box the kawasaki is a road friendly machine. Honestly you aren’t using one of these bikes properly if it’s only road riding you do.
Im sure that if you have the money to buy the ducati, you wouldnt be crying that much 👍
What happened to Kawasaki 🏍? U have crashed it?
Great feedback on the bikes! Why does everyone from England love Aprilia? Decent bike, don’t get me wrong…
nah you're wrong, just like you they all love Ducati especially "fast bikes"
Because it’s an awesome bike? Plus I don’t think it’s just England, the RSV4 and Tuono V4 win tests all round the world.
BMW is best
Dumb people in the blog say cbr is good🤣🤣🤣..if it was good then why It's struggle to even finish top 3 in wsbk and Miles behind r1🤣🤣🤣....r1 or r1m is best best
