5:09 My dad still has one of these 1st-Gen Pathfinders, a 1992 model XE with Stick Shift. Still runs great! And as for that Second-Gen Unibody, they went back to using body-on-frame for the Third-Gen Pathfinder, sharing the body style with the larger and newly introduced at the time, Nissan Armada (which we also have, a first generation 2004 SE Armada (which we hardly use except for carrying lots of large luggages to the airport, It has been garage kept for the majority of its life, still runs, looks and smells new since 2004)) until the 4th-Gen, where they switched back to Unibody once again.
1:48 The Japanese Land Yacht, the OLD SCHOOL LS400s/LS430s from 1990-2006!! The PERFECT Grandma/Grandpa Car aside from the Lincoln Town Car, Mercury Grand Marquis, Cadillac DeVille, and Buick Park Ave.
Oh a Protege5. I had two, they were my 2nd and 3rd I'd owned. Both rusted out in the rear arches and hatch and both had bad valve seals so they burnt oil like crazy. I loved the design, simplicity and practicality. They had full independent suspension, not like most small cars anymore, and were a blast to drive.
I just love these videos! Great to see the early CR-V. I had one in metallic orange with grey velour seats and orange carpets and mats! Sadly it rusted out, though. Really enjoyed riding the neighbourhood with you here today! 👍
I bought my first new vehicle in 1987 at thirty years old. It was a Toyota 4 wheel drive standard cab pickup. No radio no speakers no rear slider basically stripped down. It was one of the best vehicles I have ever owned. I always wanted a four runner but they were out of my price range. I liked my pickup so much that when I rolled it over and totaled it after five years. I went out and bought a new1992 extra cab when the insurance check came.Loved both trucks.
Nice car sightings. I too like the 90's Corolla (1992 - 1997 here in Finland). Once I even considered buying one, test drove a used 1994 Corolla sedan with 1,6 engine but it had some electrical problems (I think unusual for Toyota), and rust, so decided against it. The Mazda Protege (Hatchback) in your video was here the last generation Mazda 323, still sometimes seen on the roads, and the older 323 generation in your video was quite popular car here in the 80's, I think it was often in top 5 to top 10 in the car sales statistics here. Now, hardly ever seen on the roads, even in summer time, when classic cars usually show up here. Nice modelcars too :)
Hey, you found an Alero. I never heard anyone say this but I've been saying it for years: The biggest most unnecessary obnoxious TAILLIGHTS ever designed on a car. Am I right, who's with me? Great job Ethan! Keep the RAD coming!
Had a Protege 5 that exact colour. But while where you live, rust is minimal, where I live it’s the exact opposite, and Mazdas of that vintage suffer terribly from rust. So I sold it before rust really took hold. It had so much space inside for a smaller hatchback. Fun car to drive, 5 speed standard, nice light clutch. Before Mazda came up with the very silly sounding Sky Active naming. 😃
I liked the practical Protege 5. It was a very successful example of marketing a wagon as a hatch. Every Mazda 'hatch' which succeeded it over the last 20 years has become less practical. Today's Mazda3 hatch is a comically impractical design.
The area where I live, I see so many Mazda Protege 5s driving around. I don't see many of the sedan body styles of the Protege, just the five door hatchback.
@@rightlanehog3151 Ah, that's true. I enjoy seeing the Protege. It was one of my favorite cars Mazda made in throughout the 1990s and into the early 2000s.
Haha yeah SSR is not my thing!!! 🤢 I think the 6th gen Malibu was also referred to as a Classic in 2008 (maybe not rebadged as a Classic), and was sold for that one year alongside the 7th gen
I test drove a Maxx when they first came out. Pretty cool form factor but it was a very bad era for GM interiors. I'd like to drive an SS, it was decently quick for the era! SS got the facelifted front end, so it's not quite as ugly! 😆
What cool cars have you come across lately???
We really appreciate these tours of cars we cannot see anymore.
Just the other day I saw an Renault-Alpine A610 here in middle-of-nowhere-Finland! Must've been the only one in the whole country.
@@jxun4l3ht10 😮
I followed a 992 Turbo S on a backroad a few days ago and almost watched him get into a head on collision, I also crossed paths with an E60 M5
@@mr365truck Yikes!
first gen pathfinder was a great looking piece

Yes Ethan, Two tone paint and single cabs should by mandatory on pickups. 🤩🤩
Love the car spotting videos 👍 there interesting and its cool to learn about cars!

I love these videos! Keep it going, brother! ❤
Best car on this video is the Malibu. We had had a great 2006 Malibu Maxx LTZ. Loved that car.
One thing I always enjoy searching for is an Alero with a stick ... they are extremely rare but out there!

10:44 badass El Camino behind the C20 👌
Yeah it was sweet! Wanted to mention it in the vid, but I'm mainly only trying to film street parked cars.
Re rebadging of the Protege5, Australia had a wagon Ford Laser -- had a five speed one as a rental car there -- it was awesome.
It was a wagon here too but they marketed it as a hatchback.
Wow, a 323! My mom had one, think it was older than that one
love my 99 camry. bought in 2017 for $2700 and just barely hit 100k miles this year!
Lovely car that with the infamous NorthStar engine you talk about. unique 80’s & 90’s cars we don’t see in Australia.

My favorite car in this video is your Bluesmobile

Haha yeah I've always found those taillights a bit too large as well!
4runner awesome. honda accord wagon is cool. Toyota camry wagon.
Thank you I love this content :)❤️
Nice finds! You should ride in a different neighborhood like Woodland Hills or Encino and see if you find some other cars too
Had a Protege 5 that exact colour.

Yes, the Protege 5 'hatchback'was a big seller. In other markets the Protege 5 was unashamedly a wagon.

SSR hurts your eyes 😂 and Malibu Classic was the body style before that one but sold concurrently...

That Firebird is also a ‘69.
I love the look of that gen of the Malibu, depsite how ugly everyone says it is. The Maxx is even better
👀👀👀👀
Haha I can't get down with it. The facelifted version in 2006 is marginally better, I suppose
1:11 Chevy Silverado is still available in regular cab, short and long bed lengths (at least in Canada).
Close. Torino is a '71. Grille is slightly different
8:33 whatever that thing is, there is a showroom for them in Vancouver, BC, Canada. Looks like something from China.
They're from Vietnam!
You know about cars if you know that camry was from 92-96
3:53 wow! A Geo Storm scale model. Where did u get that?
A friend knows I really want a Storm, so he gave it to me 👍
@@HelloRoad He's a real friend, then.
That Toyota SUV looks like a dodge.
Geo storm hotwheels?!! Where’d you get that?
Not a Hot Wheels, it's actually a model car a friend gave to me!
ua-cam.com/video/9GySvnGmf8U/v-deo.html Looks like someone wanted a Mercury Marauder but had to settle.
How do you feel about the Malibu in SS? Or Maxx variant?
I test drove a Maxx when they first came out. Pretty cool form factor but it was a very bad era for GM interiors. I'd like to drive an SS, it was decently quick for the era! SS got the facelifted front end, so it's not quite as ugly! 😆
Do people ever get sketched out that you’re stopping to look at their cars as if it’s a pre-heist.
Nah, they generally just wonder who's the dork wearing the loud shirt talking to himself on a bike
Can you make Toyota graphics T-shirts? I'd buy one!
Ok cool! I do need to make some new shirts soon!
