Yes, he did - but ratting is ratting. I think someone who shot me deserves to be ratted on, but in the real hoods, they don't rat, they handle it themselves. ***** To be honest, the guy was a fitness freak back when he was younger. He never smoked, drank alcohol, or done drugs in his life, except for the LSD experiment he did to reduce his sentence back in the 60s. I wouldn't be surprised if he lived to be 100+ years old.

I don't think he was an informant. His file doesn't add up. I won't copy and paste my reason yet again, but I suggest watching "Whitey: United States of America vs. James J. Bulger". His defense makes an extremely convincing case that he was not an informant, but simply was protected by the FBI in exchange for money, gifts, and in one particular case, protection from harm.
That being said, there are 3 sides to every story: Yours, theirs, and the truth.

I agree completely with the statements made by throneofcrap, I'd also like to add that although weeks is a rat, in my eyes he's the lesser of the 2 evils when compared with the power of persuasion & manipulation, homicidal maniac and rapist (statutory or otherwise ) that entails just a few of the monstrous characteristics displayed by Bulger throughout his long criminal life. The time he'll do in prison is not even close to what he deserves, I wouldn't be bothered in the least with a public hanging in his case, if he hadn't displayed a gift to manipulate others around him and bring them around to his way of thinking and in some cases (being aware that everyone no matter how great the pressure, everyone makes their own choices ) turn good people into bad, I would have liked to see him released into the general population
