It happened in a school zone. Does that mean nothing? That means if you're going to drive in a school zone, then you must do your due diligence not to collide with a child in that school zone. Remember, driving is a privilege, not a right.

The child ran into the car, not cars fault. As far as suing for a mirror, I can understand that as well, an unexpected $600 bill can be hard and most times insurance doesn’t cover until damage is at least $1000.

Are there really people like this in the community?! Who in their right mind would care about a mirror on their car after hitting a child? In my mind you would say, "thank good the child wasn't seriously hurt, a mirror is insignificant."

This is so outrageous! Americans values have so deteriorated. When this kind of thing happened when I was a kid the parents would have been worried about THE CHILD GETTING HURT instead of a stupid mirror. No one likes "old-fashioned values" but we need them.

Actually it’s quite fair the defendant has to pay for her own child’s medical bills and etc and The plaintiff has to pay for her own mirror in the end.

As someone who got hit by a car when I was a pedestrian and almost died from the injuries....I just want to point out that it's not just about the injuries. I'm traumatized and that little girl is also traumatized. It does a lot of emotional and mental damage.

If you look closely at the little girl and her mom, you can see her holding her moms hand. Poor baby.

What an ordeal !!!! There’s NO WAY I’d be suing someone for small change , nor for ANY money at all to be honest , the woman should just be grateful that precious little girl is ok. 😡😡😡😡😡
