      Dell, try punching this in a search engine, "904 79P 15".
      It should come up to Amazon.
      If not, it is a 79 mm 15 flats socket. The 904 model is very nice with 1/2 inch square drive plus hex head for wrenches, you can always reduce it down to 3/8 drive.

    These engines like oil changes at 3000 miles.
    Use Valvoline Protect and Restore full synthetic engine oil 5w-30.
    Use Wix XP oil filters for superior oil filtration.
    Seafoam High Mileage fuel treatment monthly for fuel system cleaning.
    Use good quality super unleaded fuel for best performance.

      You have an excellent maintenance schedule going on for you!
      I've changed my ATF at 18k and 26k...with Valvoline Maxlife. It takes exactly one gallon each change. Next time I'll go to Valvoline Extended Protection version.
      KIA emails us every 3 months wanting us to trade in. So far at 30,000 miles we like this Sorento a lot.
      The engine doesn't "burn" a drop of oil between 3.5 to 4k oil changes.

    so I have the 2020 kia soul turbo and did my first oil change. I find it odd that Kia pointed the oil drain plug to the front of the vehicle, and in my case, caused the oil to run backwards causing all kinds of a mess. Do you have any suggestions to avoid the oil running towards the back of the vehicle?

    • @pmtips4482
      @pmtips4482  4 роки тому

      I'm sorry to say I do not. The 2020 Soul non-turbo engine has a standard drain plug which allows draining oil to run away from the bottom cover. The opening in the cover is more than enough to drain without making a mess.
      Our 2020 Sorento OTOH has to have the entire bottom cover removed, 17 bolts hold it in place.
      I have not changed oil in it yet, but will shortly.

      Hello Rengi 13.
      I am compelled to ask you a few questions if I may.
      At what mileage are you supposed to change your oil.
      At what mileage did you have your oil changed?
      I ask because I am a new owner of the GT-Line Turbo as well.

      First change was at 3500, just take off the plastic plate covering the underside. Mostly push pins but a few 10mm bolts holding it on. Really easy to remove but will provide a much cleaner oil change.

      Good video. My wife took our 202 Kia Soul to the dealer for their free oil change. Got it back and the dipstick was showing higher than F. I had to drain around 1/3 a quart of oil, to get the dipstick to show near F. What do you think about that? Or is there some method of checking that I am not aware?

    • @cekiert
      @cekiert 4 роки тому

      @@bigworldparty I remember years ago I had a car with a oil leak, a oil tech stripped the plug, and I wasnt motivated to get it looked at, I'd add oil, and one day I over filled it and it smoked while driving, I drained it down to normal and it stopped smoking. Oil will foul up spark plugs, and can clog a catalytic converter but if it's not being burned from being over filled, your engine is just better lubricated to a extent the extra oil can keep the engine oil slightly cooler, keeping area of high friction from getting as hot leading to decreased wear. Generally speaking 1/2qt over usually isn't a issue. The best thing you can do, is give it service at the correct intervals, and use synthetic
