Heck of a job Mario, its incredible how complex auto repair has become. Having the knowledge and the willingness to share it, makes you an incredible guy! Thank you for a wild detective adventure
Your facial expression when the truck started made my day :-) AWESOME!! Great job analyzing the situation, digging into the technical details, and then applying logic and knowledge to the troubleshooting process for the fix!
I began mechanicing on a 90 acre farm when I was 9 yrs old. I've enjoyed the challenge of learning how to tune up a motor and fiving gears and all that fancy stuff, Thank you for a GREAT production!!! I learned more and REALLY enjoyed the process! Thank you !!!!
Great video Mario!!! Thanks for bringing us along brother! No better feeling than fixing it! & great to have resources in the industry! keep them coming! 💪💪💪
Great job mario! I can't believe 2 shops with months of waiting and they couldn't fix it? Waaaay too many "parts cannoneers" looking for a fast buck and not enough techs who do due diligence repairing vehicles (like YOU!). With cars being the most complex ever, we really need very well trained techs.
Very good young man you humble yourself in front of your crowd That takes real guts I got 51 years under the belt doing this stuff and I'm still working part-time specifically with the electronics because of my well lack of able to move around now I have time to look at UA-cam and look for a lot of shops that truly will go the distance if they can to get the job done correctly PS I would have done the same thing it's a little bit embarrassing when you stumble live in front of an audience and sometimes you don't have the answer but you suspect what the manufacturer may have set up as a strategy anyway good luck to you and hopefully you can stay busy with all this lovely new electronic stuff it's going to get much more intense as the can systems develop and I mean develop
Just a bit of wisdom here, these wcm's are notorious for locking up, removing the fuse and reinstalling will often times bring them back to life, this explains the no problem found on the bench. Your diag was spot on , not sure why 2 dealers would not of figured this out, maybe it was intermittent or maybe the techs at those dealers were newbies ...
I used to work at a independent shop and we got a lot of vehicles from dealers 'that couldn't repair them ' now as a dealer tech its actually the customer not willing to pay for extra diag so I like the response he gave in the video he didnt bash the dealer because he didnt know what happen
@@josegdiaz8201 I'm sorry for the way I said that. Definitely don't wanna bash anybody. So I understand your reaction. I'd like to tell a little about myself. I've been working at dealerships for 20 years. So I met a lot of dealership techs during these years. There's a parts changing mentality without proper diagnosis and I blame the lack of education for that. And I admit I was one of them. That's what I was taught and I copied that behavior for years. Sure there's some dealer training from the manufacturer but honestly I've never learned much from it. And the titles they give mean absolutely nothing to me. When I was at the Toyota/Nissan dealership we had a master tech with 26 years of experience. One day he had a light bulb that didn't illuminate. So he removed the bulb from the socket and when he measured 12v at the socket with his DVOM it just blew his mind. For him that was impossible. And the bulb was fine btw. Shows how important it is to understand voltage drop. My point is I had to do a lot of research and train myself to become a better tech. Dealerships don't provide the necessary training in my opinion. Hell there's 90% of the techs that have never seen an oscilloscope. Some manufacturers just literally say you don't need them. As is the case for where I work now being Opel. For me a life changer was Paul Danner. I got to know him about 6 years ago. That man has taught me more in a couple years than all the education I ever had at school and work. He really opened my eyes. Also a lot of great and very intelligent UA-camrs have helped me a lot in understanding how to diagnose properly. Mario is one of them but there are so many more, the list is long. And I'm thankful for these people sharing their knowledge. We never stop learning it's an ongoing process. And I respect everyone that is willing to learn no matter what their level of experience is. There's no excuse not to. Sorry for the rant 😉
Wow! Felicidades Mario! That's a pretty awesome video! Some uScope footage, your 1st time with immobilizer work, and the featuring of the new key tool... just so stoked for you! 😁😊👏👏
I’m surprised the dealer didn’t see that one, those are a common failure , I program keys from time to time and see this all the time, but most symptoms I have seen is the truck will start but the alarm/ lock unlock has no function. If you want to get into Immo programming get a programmer called autopropad I think American key supply sells it.
Hey Mario I love my IM508 (IM608 little brother) I have done dozens of keys, locks, IMO setups. The more you use it the more you’ll love it. The “ hot shot” feature can be your best friend as it will walk you right through.
oh and there are a good amount of vids to be seen on utube on autel immob tools in action....on of my fav feature of this tool is you can go in without hooking up to a vehicle and see enough to ether get you worried or ease your pain... ha ha .... good review Mario... any questions look me up....got 3 months with mine...
hey Mario, I picked up the im508 along with the apb smart key emulator....you're gonna love that tool.... kinda eases the hype you feel after programming a engine control module and the immo factor sinks in...
and just to be honest here... I don't think im ready for the chip removal process...which is why i'll stick with the x200 and not get the x400 .... for now...
I had one of those dodge 1 ton trucks come in just the other day... no start and security light - that wireless module is a pain in the ass for dodge - they fail so often there have been attempts to get class action suits against dodge for the high failure rate. I dont take any chances on comebacks or pissed customers - they get a new module and two keys when I fix them. Haven't had a comeback yet.
Kid in a Candy Store, that is how I felt LOL I have been cutting and Programming Keys for a while now but also been doing immobilizer modules only thing I can add is that I never do it without a battery maintainer. Nice Vid.!!
what is the compact oscilloscope?!?!?! I am now looking on amazon :) also if I caught it, low voltage gave you the issue with no communication to the module , man we all been there, live and learn.
thees wcm's are nightmares! Cause so many issues and tough to diagnose. Now whenever I get any junk chrysler in the shop with weird issues, I diag the wcm first!
Chad Gardee I’m sure he just supplied the power and ground signals to power the module up. Then he checked for his signal. You could also leave the module in the vehicle and de-pin the connector and see if you had communication at the module, or just communication on the harness side (which would be communication from other modules). Hope that’s not too confusing.
Neen watching you from the beginning man, and you keep getting better and better. Stay humble, keep it simple. Great job! You're getting to be one of my faves on youtube.
Good job, I'm still dumbfounded that 2 different shops could not figure this out! If worked on more variety of cars i would love to get that tool, when i saw it come out i was like that thing is bad ass. Honestly i'm considering leaving the dealership life and trying to figure out what i want to do. I love what I do but the flat rate system is killing me when all i'm handed is diagnostics like this with warranty times that pay next to nothing.
Great video Mario. I would like to get into immo more but not sure if I have enough immo work to justify it. Since it is a dodge and they have know weak modules I wonder if the low battery voltage and potential jump starting when the vehicle wouldn’t start cause the module to fail. Either way the vehicle is fixed now.
Awesome say no more. One last question. Where did you get yours and how much ? I hear horror stories of getting them online and not being able to use them due to the region or something of that nature.
That was awesome! Love the Autel super tool :)
Heck of a job Mario, its incredible how complex auto repair has become. Having the knowledge and the willingness to share it, makes you an incredible guy! Thank you for a wild detective adventure
Still shit money
Found you from samcrac. You guys are talented.
Man that's great. Congrats on the new tool and the new found skill!
Your facial expression when the truck started made my day :-) AWESOME!! Great job analyzing the situation, digging into the technical details, and then applying logic and knowledge to the troubleshooting process for the fix!
Eres un monstruo para arreglar carros con problemas difíciles hermano , no me pierdo tus videos, grasias por subirlos

Just found your channel today thanks to WatchWesWork. I see Pine Hollow watches you too which tells me you are an honest guy I can learn from.
Great work Mario! Always feels great to fix stuff when multiple others haven’t been able to!
Job well done..keep up the great work.thanks for all you do.😊
Super job and great confidence building
Great job Mario. Never stop learning.
Excellent video Mario. Thank you for taking the time and share your knowledge with us!
Good job Mario I appreciate all your video help me a lot, I’m on Chicago we have a lot electrical problem
Can you do I diagnostic of Jeep/dodge engine stays running with the key turned off
Does it have an aftermarket amplifier installed? How long does it stay running after key off?
Super Mario Diagnostics No amplifier aftermarket, stay engine running with acc off no coolant fan working,
I'd check the ignition run wire for voltage after its been turned off
New toy and learning something new
That's awesome.
Great video
Nice when two dealerships could not fix and you did!!!!
It would make.me nervous what type of talents those dealers have!
Who were the dealers ? Cheech and Chong ? Maybe they could get a job as " Assembly Technician " at IKEA !
Good job Mario that's why we do what we do. I love fixing cars that the dealers have had for multiple repair attempts.
Great video Mario!!! Thanks for bringing us along brother! No better feeling than fixing it! & great to have resources in the industry! keep them coming! 💪💪💪
Great stuff Mario. Looking forward to seeing more key/immo stuff in the future.
Definitely a nice tool, great video Mario...good to see you are doing well at new shop! Congratulations on your new purchase!
I am here because after watching Wes work, he recommended your channel. I am now a subscriber. You're very good!
Good job Mario. Thank you. Have a blessed and safe week.
Had my pick of 4 new videos, I went to this one first. You always have good content.
I truly appreciate that! Thank you so much!
Awesome dude! Do more videos. You saved lots of people around i believe!
Nice diagnoses and repair.Especially when other shops could not repair it.
Mario Great Work bro, I always enjoy your videos man. That IM608 looks awesome.
First time viewer, Mario. Great job! Appreciate the humility, and expert diagnosis. Must have feel GREAT when it fired right up!
Appreciate the great content! Feels like i'm watching New Level Auto channel. You're great technician man!
One day I'll get there 😉

Just came across your video. Congrats on that fix !! Glad that there's smart guys like you out there !!!👍👍
Great vid every day a learning curve, keep up the great content 👌

Awesome job brother. Looking into the 508.
Well I guess the guys at the dealership need some training 😀 Great job Mario. Thanks for sharing! 👍

Nice job man, great video.
They also make 5 dollar right u can put around the ignition lock to see if it communicating. Great video it's crazy the dealers could not fix that wow
Yep, i forgot to mention, i did put that coil tester around the ignition lock and it did light up. But still no comms
nice SM im really liking the IM 608
Nice job, Bro!

Do a video on the scanner. I would like to see what type of bi directional controls and if it can be a good all in one. At least to begin with
It's the same software as the 908
