Jack'd comment about the family "recycling names like newspaper" rings so true. In my genealogy searches I get so frustrated because my Dad's family only.seemed to like three names and they just moved them around to stick on a new baby!
Y’all are great! I’m a new fan. I’m from Louisa, Ky living in Kermit with my coal miner husband. My great grandmother was a Blair from Prestonsburg. So many kin around the tristate. Keep up the great work!!😊
Leo I am heading to your direction in the next few weeks. I would LOVE for you to give my family a tour. Would that be possible? You guys are the best! Thanks for sharing the hidden gems of the Hatfield history.
Beautiful areas I love hearing about the History of our great Country 👍 ❤thank you. You should have no problem getting volunteers to bring their weedwackers, chainsaws and shovels cleaning up that area in no time! Have some cooking a wonderful barbecue lunch!!
I have descendants of the civil war but Jack has history in his family that is mind blowing. If you don't think it's fascinating ,you don't have a pulse.
Jack 🎉🎉🎉 Happy Birthday! Remember records are only as good as the memory of the person filling them out. Btw Jack ever think a ghost is trying to tell ya something.
Don't listen to the haters. I love every videos! 🎉 Happy Birthday Jack! Why did they bury them so from the homes? Leo how are you a Hatfield and a McCoy very interested.
i did some checking and i found that devil answers mama first cousin to jim vance now with jim vance being older a lot of people call their older cousin and or uncle address means they're older cousins
My favorite videos thanks for sharing the history behind it makes them very interesting love you guys please keep em coming stay safe Godspeed Happy Birthday Jack God Bless everyone.
I knew I would run into Leo sooner or later because I live in Williamson and finally I seen him today at Walmart and I didn't even hardly talk because I was star struck.. I couldn't wait till I ran into him and I finally did and didn't even hardly speak LoL thanks for all these videos you do for us...I can't speak for anyone else but I'm sure a bunch of people think the same way I do and through my eyes your a star here in Mingo county...again thanks to you and Heather for the awesome videos you two make
I really enjoy your videos. I love to learn the truth of the feud and see the final resting spot. Though I am not family, I have always been interested in the facts of the two families. I was wondering if Cotton Top was buried there with the family?
No. He's in Pikeville Kentucky in an unmarked grave. Using old records, we narrowed it down to an area about 75 feet by 75 feet. The video is here on the channel if you want to check it out. It's from about a year ago. Just search for Cotton Top.
Re the sign , set up a go fund me type thing . I think if sack of us give 10$ you would be well on your way to fixing the sign . I for one would love to be apart of that from up here in Canada 🇨🇦
Happy Birthday Jack. It's always good when y'all have Jack included in your videos. Hopefully some day down the road a fundraiser will be established to preserve this beautiful cemetery. As always, another great adventure.
when I was little ther was a swamp right behind the house and there were little pools of tadpoles just like the ones you showed. I use to sleep to the night sounds of frogs and crickets. Thanks do the memories. The camera issues could be your ancestors playing with you to let you know they are there.
I don't know how I got here but thru the power of UA-cam's algorithm. I really enjoy your videos and the history lessons you share with us. You've got a new subscriber and it looks like I've got a lot of catching up to do. Keep up the good work.
Gosh I love your sense of humor Leo. Your laugh is like music and your heart shines so brightly. Heather, you too, you show such kindness and beauty in what you do.
Very entertaining video. You guys should do more videos together. Thank you for the history lesson, or refresh. The countryside is beautiful, so is the cemetery. Perhaps you can send out the call to the rest of the family, and get a crew together to clean up the cemetery. Question; Does the family clean up the family cemeteries? Thank you very much again, Leo & Co. ( I am sorry, I already forgot their names. ) for a great video. You all have a great day. 😊
@The Hillbilly Files - Legends and Locations Thank you very much for getting back to me. I am glad to hear that this cemetery has someone who takes care of it. I am sure that the cemetery where Devil Anse is buried is cared for as well. ( Or so I hope. ) Your last sentence makes me wonder 🤔 about the younger generation, again 🙄 Take care Leo and Heather.
You guys de stress me!!!! Love just listening to the “good will” conversation……learning how it was…..how it looked…… Thank you!!! (You make me miss my South Carolina kinfolk!!!)
Happy birthday Jack! I've never heard that Devil Anse might not be a Hatfield. As far as I'm concerned there's no doubt that he's a Hatfield. Let the haters hate, bless their hearts. Awesome video, as usual.
Thank you for another interesting video. It's amazing to see where Ellison lived and the beautiful cemetery. I was wondering if the steps actually went over top the sheriff's grave and why they would do that?

Great video! Always enjoy your excursions to the old Hatfield and McCoys homesteads and cemeterys. I'm up here in east central Ohio but have been very near, many times, to some of the places you've posted videos on. I love it down there, it's peaceful and beautiful. Maybe get a group of volunteers with weed eaters and such to clean up that cemetery a bit. If I lived a little closer I'd help 😉👍 Great vid. Keep em coming. ✌
Devil Anse's mother is my 3rd great aunt, his father is my 1st cousin 4x removed. I am both Hatfield and McCoy. I am related to everyone in the feud except for Frank Phillips the sheriff. Perry Cline was also my 1st cousin 5x removed. Removed means generations away from my first cousin line.
I use to be ok to roll in poison Ivy until after we came back from Germany. We went pecan picking and I came out with a huge case of Poisin Ivey all over my face and arms. Now I don't have to touch it to break out. If it's anywhere near I will break out. I'd love to come clean out that cemetery.
Leo, don’t ever visit the Winchester House in California. Heather will know about that house. All the stairs are built low like that as Mrs. Winchester had bad arthritis in her hips.

Jack, it's turning because of the shooting mode it is in. If you put it in FPV it will only turn or drift where you're pointing it.
Thank you! I later on figured out my phone was off balance on the device making it do that... SMH

Yes they do have a lot of mistakes, we use two and cross check
We know this. This is why it is said not to copy people’s trees and info and do your own research.
