Stocky sandtiger shark in shallow water. Striped bass and blackfish do not appear worried.
It looks it has some parasites on the dorsal fin.
I ran into it in multiple dips. I was swimming parallel to it, and it was hard to keep the pace while holding my breath. Some bluefish came down, and I took the shot. Bluefish often can dodge the spear in an instant. I checked frame by frame. Striped bass are much easier to get on the line.
I took a trigger, stone shot. It was 12 inches. a bit too small. Triggers seem to get fished out quickly from my spots, so i tend to take only one, possibly longer than 16 inches.
My favorite way to target a fish is to dive at the bottom, below a pile of rocks and crawl up, looking up. I do not like to take fish from above.
