I just bought a 2019 Grand Caravan with the tire inflator option. Is it possible to install a spare tire in the original location in addition to the inflator??
Hi azzir325, Congrats on your new Grand Caravan! We recommend contacting your dealer to discuss this as they will have the appropriate tools to make this determination. If you'd like to read more about your new vehicle, you can click on the following link to view a PDF version of your Owner's Manual: msmownerassets.z13.web.core.windows.net/assets/publications/en-us/Dodge/2019/Grand_Caravan/10455.pdf
Thanks. Kind of junky, if you ask me. Still under 20k miles and already throwing "ghost problems" at me that the dealership doesn't really want to hear about. Rear door misbehaving. Recently I used the remote start and the engine started, then shut down in about 20 seconds, repeatedly.
Thanks for that. Did your van HAVE a spare when you bought it? I'm not sure if my van is equipped with the appropriate cable, etc as it was shipped without a spare.
SAME AS My 08. THE WORST EVER. I RIPPED MINE OUT TODAY.IT WILL NEVER GO BACK THERE AGAIN!!! I MADE SURE .LOL. UNBELEVIABLE. THIS MAKES ME A FORM FIRM BELIEVER IN DRUG TESTING. AND I.Q. TESTING LOL.
Sorry you need I.Q testing and Drug testing, sorry about your addiction and lack of brains.. My 5'5 109 pound hot Blonde Wife changed her tire without an issue !! I mention her hair color because of the false perception of blonde hair females..She also placed the spare back in there and raised it after she got the tire repaired by myself in my home shop !
Hi, my 2015 Dodge Grand Caravan R/T middle compartment is attached to the console mold and it doesn't seem to be removable. Any idea on how can I take it out?
if you open the sliding panel on the compartment closest to the console, and then pull out the rubber lining on the bottom of the compartment it will reveal the nut you need to turn to lower the spare.
Would have been nice if this info was in the owners manual.i could not find it.I have 3 flat tires on my van cause those tpms sensors the end snapped on them.Bright thinking using a matarial that is known for corrosion.
Hi George, Using the winch T-handle, rotate the drive nut to the right until the compact spare tire/cover assembly is drawn into place against the underside of the vehicle. You can read more about properly storing the spare tire on page 581 of your Owner’s Manual, which you can view here: www.mopar.com/dodge/en-us/care/owners-manual.html?openGarage=true
Just bought a 2016. No spare tire. Even the salesman didn't know about it. I'll be going to the scrap yard and I guess every 2016 owner did. Haven't checked yet if I have the tool to lower the tire. Not good service. Not good at all.
Only video that helped! Thanks Mopar!
will a full sized tire fit the donut;s container?
Does the space cover fit a full size tire
Thank you so much
This is just ridiculous

What do you mean do no stow the flat tire in the spare tire location?
Do not stow the flat tire in the spare tire location.
The spare is smaller, so the flat fire is still too big to fit into the shield device under there.

How to put the spare tire container back?

The question is how you put it back!
Reverse of this process, simple understand ? Remember how do you get out of the van ? Reverse of getting in,got it ?
