    Thank you sir for that informative demo. Love the sound,especially the reverb'ed out solo piece at the end. Beautiful sound and style!!! I am a long time six String convert ( from 4 fretted straight to a fretless 6), and now there is no turning back!!! Thanks again sir!!

    Hello--Coming from years of playing a 5 string, I tried the same one (used), same color, the other day and was hooked with this beauty. However I will have it defretted by a prof guitar maker. A 6 string bass is fabulous for playing Bach Solo Violin pieces without the hassle of finding high register fingerings. This change will definitely work in that domain.

    What the fuck dude!? I just love your playing man. Could listen to you all day, though my axes might end up on the woodpile. Bravo, my friend. Demo and a half! BTW, for what it's worth, I too once owned a Yamaha... TRB5II. One of my sale-regrets. As you say, it too was a freakin' monster of a bass.

    Hi Nicko,
    Thank you for the video.
    After watching it, and others, and also playing the bass myself, I decided to buy one.
    1.5 months in, I'm very happy with my new bass. However, I feel that the action and intonation are not set properly. The string height is higher than I see in other people's videos, and I have bad intonation/buzz, on the 2nd string, specially after the 12th fret (the "G" string).
    Would you be able to share more or less the way you set up your bass? E.g. action, neck relief, strings.
    Thank you in advance, and keep rocking!

    I have trbx 505, it has 34" scale length and low B is really good. I do not understand the hype about 35" scale, maybe it is a good thing if I tune to drop A or if I want to go to even lower F sharp.

    • @craftcrasher89
      @craftcrasher89 6 років тому

      Domagoj Oinky oh i think similar, inclusive i dont know why the brands dont make a 32 inch scale 6 or 5 bass(i have little hands and the scale make a huge different), Luthiers like Carl Thompson or Hilton make a good b string in this scale for example but the price of this basses it's not for me.

    • @domagojoinky8262
      @domagojoinky8262 6 років тому

      I think that MTD makes nice 30 inch 5 string bass with Low B that is really nice (MTD 530) . But all that is above good comes at high price. . But we mere mortals are thight on budget and we want something not expensive and that it does not feel cheaply made and unplayable.

      With some heavier gauge strings, I think you could quite comfortably set this bass up in low A standard so A-D-G-C-F-B
