    I just got my sentro 48 peg knitting machine yesterday and am excited about making some of your tops! I am 5'1" and heavy set also heavy busted.

    I want to make all of these. Especially the tops. I've made a cardigan from another channel that the lady had copied a cardigan she bought (probably made from your pattern) but without the pockets. I added pockets to the one I made and intend to gift it to my aunt, who is dealing with some medical things and I hope it will lift her spirits.

    Great work!! Using diagram really helps!!
    As the “rectangle-panel based” theme goes, this vid is quite useful for color-pool crochet panels as well.

    Thanks for this lovely video. When my machine arrives and I am happy with the way it works I will definitely make the little teddy and bunny. So simple! Those slippers look interesting, I'd like to see how they are made though I think I can see. Slippers are the bane of my life as I have very large feet and high insteps so ladies slippers are out for me. To have a pretty pair would be wonderful!

    I had trouble following your cardi pattern (the penultimate one in this video), so yes, I'd really appreciate a more detailed explanation, unless you've done that already (I didn't check). Other than that, this was really inspiring. For years, I've looked for beautiful, wearable pieces made of simple panels, so this was right up my alley. I'd probably crochet some, too. Thank you!

    I am still saving for a machine and trying to decide if it would be worth it. Your videos, especially this one, are helping me make that decision. I had never even thought about looking at crochet patterns and adapting them. 🤦🏼‍♀️
    For the bunny, there’s another crafter out there that did one. I believe her name is Crafty Caz and she didn’t stuff the bunny with fiberfill. She ran a drawstring around the bottom with fairly heavy duty elastic cord and stuffed the body with Easter candy. She then used the drawstring to keep them inside. I just thought that was a really clever Idea and makes me really wish that my granddaughters were younger than they are.

    I am definitely interested in a few of these, especially the one that has the over the head part. I am looking for some Easy sweater patterns for the winter to make! I am allergic to wool , so do you have any suggestions for Thicker acrylic yarn that works on the Sentro knitting machine?

    • @emilysmith2784
      @emilysmith2784  26 днів тому

      @@gingerblack4528 I hate wool. My favourite yarn for this machine is sirdar saltaire but it’s been discontinued 😭. King Cole comfort Aran is pretty nice and Stylecraft yarns are great too. If you want to add thickness you could always try adding some lace weight yarn to the yarn you are using.

    Just looking at the cabling in the pictures I remembered a trick my mom used to do on connecting panels (she made them by hand but she couldn't do large projects without breaking them up), but she would link panels with cables, so the seam standing out became part of the pattern.
    I'll have to experiment to remember exactly how she did it, or maybe I can find a video where someone else does it.

      It’s a good idea. I seen Diana Sullivan do something similar on a flat bed and made me own version here ua-cam.com/video/ST4CxHipErI/v-deo.html but it could be nice to do this by hand too. Thanks for the suggestion.

      When it comes to cables or ribbing I would be knitting it by hand!! It would be far too fiddly for me on my Addi. Cables and ribbing are much easier on a flat bed knitting machine as the latch hook needles and the tools are so convenient. Alas, I don't have my flat bed machines any more!

    Which would you say is the best machine to buy for a beginner

    • @emilysmith2784
      @emilysmith2784  10 місяців тому +1

      I am afraid I have only used a sentro but I would say it’s beginner friendly and much cheaper than the addi. The addi also has a weird number of needles so pattern repeats are difficult if you eventually plan to make more advanced things. But if you only plan to make basic things then I have heard the addi is better made so may last longer. 🤷‍♀️

      100% acrylic Aran weight. B&M usually do 250g balls for under £5 but if you don’t have one near you wool warehouse and little wool shop are affordable online stores. The best yarn I ever got was from B&M and it was discounted to 50p a ball because the labels were missing. Wish I knew what it was 😂
