You’ve got gyms in the pipeline - app - Gym Shark sponsorship (Like Gabriel Sey) multiple properties etc. I’ve been making random budget niche videos since 2006 (101 videos & only 188 subscribers) If my channel grew for some reason, I’d give a lot of ad revenue to the subscribers in the form of cash - competitions & giveaways.

Non skippable ads is what will make me watch a youtuber im leaving otherwise so respect for that
I work a full time job and smash the UA-cam grind... it took me 3yrs to earn anything worth while (by that I mean like a couple of hundred a month), another year to then realise things were looking up....and the last few months I've matched or exceed my full time salary. You gotta put the hours in and like you say, only give up if you have put every ounce of energy in to trying. I'm glad you spoke more about your journey than just how much you made, makes it way more engaging. I'm going full time in the Summer.... I never thought I'd be saying that back in 2016.

Love the transparency in this video it’s so great to see the honesty (I’m the same when I see an ad I cannot skip too!) I’m at that point right now with making content and the channel being stuck and the “should I carry on” but like you said, I’d rather keep trying than give up. Thank you so much for the honesty!

This is one of the channels that gave me the courage to start my UA-cam channel 8 months ago about self development. Now I have 885 subs and > 700 hours of watch time. I know it’s not comparable with others but I’m still proud I started because I’ve been learning so many lessons that I could haven’t learned without getting started in the 1st place.

We need to break the taboo of disclosing your earnings but in the eyes of somebody looking for inspiration, it's a great thing but in the eyes of somebody who isn't happy with themselves, it might come out as show-off.
Come to NYC and do a collaboration with Dr. Mike (Mike Varshavski) about health/injury/fitness. Or do a collaboration with Erik Conover; have him come to Matt's house and do a property tour.

250k for 45 million views. The bigger youtubers the views per a video must be staggering amount of money.
i think part of the taboo surrounding salary in the UK is in some part the disparity between jobs that are required and underfunded ( doctors,nurses, paramedics , firefighters, nhs employees , teachers ) and then jobs that are not required but pay well.. so its almost embarassing to say I'm a paramedic and make 36k a year vs i own an online coffee bean redistribution business and make 75k .. woeful underfunding of public sector roles and massive price gouging on none essential "essential" items
Maybe it's something wrong with algorithm, like i used to watch you all the time and than all of a sudden you stopped popping in my recomendations and on my watch list, and i don't get why couse im still subscribed and watch you. Like yt doesn't even tell me there's a new video. Alorithm is doing something! Maybe that helps. Sorry for my english! Thank you this was sooooo motivational!
Matt, because I'm too lazy to look it up. How does a UA-cam premium members views translate in ad revenue? As in because I'm premium I don't ever see ads. Do it count as I watch the full ad?

Thanks alot for sharing Matt, its insane the amount of money you can make here on UA-cam, but as you say and put it in perspective - it takes alot of hardwork and it certainly doesnt happen over night! I keep having the idea of doing a "How2Do" Series of videos and starting my own channel up, but having other things going on Ive not really had the chance to focus to kick things off - but videos like this light that fire again. Thanks again for the transparecy and the honesty and good luck with things for 2022.
