3:13 one hand holding the tweezers with the wick.
Second hand with the iron.
Third hand blowing hot air.
No wonder why Alex gets the job done every time 😃
It's a blessing having a third hand but sometimes I forget that I have one.
the 3rd hand is for slapping customers that try to do a solder work on their boards and ruin it then bring it to alex
Hahaha 😁
Hahahah exactly the same thing I thought while watching that scene🤣
Now a days my most favourite.channel.
Everyday i expect a video from this channel.like to watch how beautifully he fix stuffs
Those look like the replacement PCB traces I sent over -- very nice to see them in action by the hand of the master!
In the demonstration video the manufacturer uses a tiny bit of UV solder mask underneath the new pads to glue them down.
But maybe some day I can take some time off my day job and vacation in LA to come work in your shop for a few days. :)
Very interesting and good to watch. I am sure by now many have been shouting watch the commercial video on youtube. They use solder mask to stick in combination with solder.
Am really pleased with myself, my electronics repair level is next to nothing. I had a bad connection on my old but very good phono pre-amp, at first I thought it was the very fine wires from the turntable to the pre, I soon discovered it was the actual phono sockets. I took it apart but could not see any broken traces or dry joints, I used my recently purchased flux and re-soldered all the connections. I have this channel to thank for my successful repair.
My next step is to replace all the caps, bridge rectifier, certain resistors and some diodes on my TT power supply, it's pretty much replacing like for like but for me it's quite an undertaking.
legend ive leant so much watching you even gave me the corrage to solder a new joy stick on my xbox 1s controler u legend good to see u back sending
love from the uk
just like any new product the more you use it the better you get with it... another great video
Every thing is so special. Thank you! Big boss &Alex.
Wow excellent job Alex!! Better than factory is an understatement thanks for the video and lesson.
Those new pads look really nice. Once again a great work, Alex. Glad you are back 😊
Big boss needs his own camera so that we can enjoy the disassembly of devices.
I guess we could agree with this.
Very good idea. Disassembly and Re-assembly is a wonderful skill in itself.
I agree, too 👍🏻
He may be camera shy. I also don't think he can do commentary while doing his job as he seems like the quiet type.
You're right
You are the best! Greetings from Dominican Republic!
Good job Alex, Brilliant jobs... That's what kind job you work is motivation me to get my own self taught do repair devices as much I can learn from beginning to professional in few days later... Cuz you did good preach of Surgery electric doctor lol. Thank for sharing... God bless all... Don't Flux with Mr. Repairman like us that we are electric repair doctor too .. :)
These pre-form kits have been around least a 4 decades (maybe 5 or more). They definitely help with high volume trace repairs. It'll be nice if the product demonstrated is revised with both more readily usable product per area as well as slightly thicker material.
Wow, I've seen these pads a while ago in a commercial video I was going to ask you what your opinion was on them. But I forgot and now I can see if they REALLY work in reality. Thanks again for your quality content, Alex!
happy you are back !
Brilliant. Surgical precision!
Those pads seem hard to work with, but they have the advantage of being flat, so it helps on the connector stability, worth it.
It's amazing that you are Willing to try new things! It makes you one of the best.
The Asus MB is like a liquid damaged. The pads kit are amazing to replace missing pads in board. Nice job, nice video
This was awesome. You do good work. Thanks for the lesson and your knowledge.
Those pads look nice and the end result is very good. But i think that there to much work in handling them. Great job as always 👌
Glad your back from vacation, it was a boring week on UA-cam!
YOU COULD TRY PUTTING THE SOLDER MASK UNDER THOSE PADS AND OVER IT AS WELL AND THEN SCRATCH IT OFF FOR SOLDERING AFTER CURING THE MASK. IT WILL MAKE IT HARD AND AND RIGID SUPPORT AS WELL. TRY IT OUT.
Good to see you again, well done on the good fix.
Love the inovation
Good job as always better than factory
That Fume Extractor Sound Like Train Passing Nearby
"Excusez moi" ❤ from France !
It's good u have a heart of trying out new things
dang with so many items to repair i will work in there as an volontere just for gain knowladge and practice 👍😀👍
I like what you did with switch, would personally like you to fix my son’s charging port.
Welcome back man another good repair
Awesome Work as always!
Was thinking, with careful trimming, the leftover carrier film could be utilised as masks for conductive ink/paint for when one of those replacement pads won't work.
Another BTF fix. Thanks for sharing Alex
Better than factory as always!
auspicious return
Awesome work alex
Yet again another informative video.
Awesome Alex.
What me worries is that the pad pad isn't used efficiently. There is space for the double amount of pads...
8:11 Customer : i just spill a bit of water on my laptop, just a little, or maybe, and i let it dry for a year maybe...
Lol
That gift of his. The board of copper stickers.
Yes. I've see it.
Its very small and fragile .. I destroyed mine with my clumsy fingers. I wasn't repairing anything, just playing around.
I think the third leg was not connected, but the heat to cure the mask reflowed the solder under it.
The third pad you checked did not look solid to me, but it works.
Great Work!
3rd pin on first check was not 'solid', probably holds contact by force, but no solid connection there :).
Another great repair, keep up the good work.
Yeah these things are good. I think it'll be better if you hold these pads with uv solder mask.
Wow. Nice repair
You should apply solder mask under the pad
good job, better than factory.
Great work
Big boss is a legend
nintendo itself is jealous of this job "BETTER THAN FACTORY"
Well done
"Excusez-moi" lolol c'est ok
Pleasure to watch, resting my eyes 😊. Except laptop motherboard 😂
Amazing job. Are you going to sell soldering irons and tips on your website?
What about using a tiny bit of soldering mask to hold it in place?
That was from REWA
Why don't you use a fiberglass pen for trail scraping? I use it and it's much better, even for rusty trails!
nice job and nice tools
Good work
may God send you all the devices in the world brother
Better Than Factory 👍
nice work,buen trabajo.
Thank you for the video Alex..I like the pad repair kit but wonder if there is some type of adhesive to secure them in place to the board itself so that the pad remains there when heating and re-soldering.
An other Nintendo switch fixed 👌nice job
