Aww! Love the song! Definitely going to share with my families! Nice to learn with Cody too! ;) The tune is catchy and now it's in mine and I will sing it all day with my speech kiddos! Thanks, guys, for your expertise! song: 2:37-2:47! very catchy!!
My well-intentioned husband thought it would be nice to surprise me and potty train our son while I was away in my first big work trip. Our poor son ended up with selective constipation to a couple weeks and regressed in his confidence sitting on the potty (at nearly two years old). Definitely wait until they are ready, there aren’t other major changes happening (like mama being away for the first time lol), and you can dedicate the weekend to it. Our very lovely daycare won’t support potty training in the toddler classroom until the children have adjusted to being there-about three months or so-because big changes can lead to less confidence with something major like using the potty. So learn from our (my husband’s) mistakes and choose your timing thoughtfully :)
Love this jingle! Definitely, has catchy lyrics. Thank you for sharing. I will introduce this song to my 3 year old as we are focusing on potty training.
Thank you for this song. We will try this. The focus fan is also brilliant. I do run the water to encourage peeing. I’m at my wits end, trying and failing for the past 6 months. I have a stubborn toddler, who’d rather do puzzles than talk, and would hide in a corner when she has to go potty.
I've made my own wipes with organic coconut oil and viva paper towels and my son never had diaper rash either! I made them more frequently in smaller batches because I was worried about funky growth. I never used Castile soap in them, though. The PH is too basic and makes me break out if I use it as a body wash-- so I never thought to put them in baby wipes. Very cool to see I'm not the only one making my own wipes. I need to try the naked weekend method, I am 4 months along with his baby sister and I really don't wanna be changing double diapers. 😂
The potty song is a great idea. My 4 year old son is nonverbal and Autistic. Since he is into visual learning I made a cartoon picture board of steps to take to go potty. I have also used brown playdough to drop in the toilet to look like mommy and daddy went poo to show him to go in the toilet. I have also used a cup of water to pour in his toilet standing up to show how to potty standing up. I also have a toy and bottle bubbles for him to play with while waiting on the toilet.
For some of the earlier comments, may I suggest either the naked or the "Oh Crap Potty Training" methods? As for bowel movement, maybe try reminding the reward when catching the time, however, fade reward after a couple of successes. It finally worked for mine after all kinds of other tricks failed.
I've been singing a different rhyme in which my wife have asked me not to sing while she's on Zoom calls.. goes something like this "It's a beautiful day to make a poop, its a beautiful day to make a poop...won't you leave my? won't you leave my butt?"
My son is 4 years, he pee on his own in toilet even at night, but he doesn’t want to go poop, he keeps holding until it really gets pressure and do it in his pants, can you give me suggestions how i can encourage him go to toilet to poop
Take off his pants during the day , let him stay naked if he poop on himself he will realize that bad and take him to the toilet a nd tell him that he should p on the toilet. Hope it help you as it help me
Same with my son too... He is 4 years 7 months old.. He tells me whenever he feels to poop, but unwilling to remove his pants... how to change this habbit ??? there is no problem with peeing....
@@naomybenard4463 He feels ashamed without the pants... He wants to put on his dress immediately after the bath... He feels shy to be naked for long time... He is very well aware that he has to poop in toilet but, is not willing to do so...
Just came here to say that I sung this for my almost three year old and she instantly sang it back and said, “that song is stuck in my head!” She also peed in the potty 4 times this week since singing it. She has used the potty before , but she had lost interest in it for the last month or two (she has a 7 week old baby sister now). This song brought her interest back! Now wondering how to go from commando to adding underwear…she just thinks underwear is like another diaper.
2:35 is when the song starts
Thank you!!! I was searching for it in a hurry and failed.

Hahahahaha. Creative take on the song! I'll side with your wife on that one. 😜
What are your thoughts about nights? Do you use diapers at night?
Hi I can't go to your website... what is the reason? Can you send me your pdf file about language skills on my email please?
