Language can be so fun! Parents who share their words and expose their kiddo to an enormous vocabulary are setting themselves up for success...admittedly it is a lot of work. But it pays off ❤️
I'd love to know in the comments, do you live in a city, neighborhood, or rural area? All of our walks will look different, but our kids can ALL learn new words as we walk outside :)
I just came across your videos. So helpful. I have some questions though. 1. Can I do this with 6mo? How can babies understand the concept of sound if we cant point it to them? 2. We want to do bilingual. I'm SAHM but my language is a minority and the husband is the majority (English). We are currently doing one parent one language. I also want her to have a good amount of English vocabulary to go to school in the future but my husband doesnt spend time as much as I do. So I'm thinking of doing 80% minority : 20% majority. But I'm afraid shes not willing to speak minority with me as we live in English speaking environment she can immerse in it and learn English fast. On the other side I'm afraid if I only speak minority, she will not have good amount of vocab to go to school. I'm so conflicted!

Hi Adrienne, we live in a neighborhood with a park and public pond we can walk around one block over. So we have a lot of nature right here. We haven’t been able to use the park this year with Covid, but hopefully can next year when my BB son turns 2.
I live in DC but we have Forest around where I live , my baby loves looking out the window and wait for a squirrel 🐿 or deer 🦌 or birds 🐦 to pass by Love your videos ❤️
Oh cool! DC! Yes, watching out the window is a favorite pass time for my son, too. Our home has woods in the backyard, so we often see deer, birds, and squirrels, and sometimes bunnies, too. This summer, we even saw a fox for the first time!! He saw the fox and got so excited. Now we look for all the foxes in children's books and he remembers seeing it out the window. :)

YESSS My daughter didnt talk until 20 months and one day on a walk she pointed and said car! i will never forget it it was such a huge relief! try try try and then try harder then try something different and something will happen!

Thanks for watching! YESSSS! Don't wait! Talk to her even if she doesn't say words yet. Kids understand words waaaaaay before they can speak words. I recommend talking to babies from the day they are born. Here's an analogy... We don't wait to start feeding a baby when he or she starts growing... babies grow BECAUSE we feed them. Same with language. We don't wait to start talking to a baby when he or she starts talking... children talk BECAUSE we talk to them. Great question! :)
Hai Teacher, I highly appreciate your efforts your videos are so nice it helps us lot. my boy he is 48 months now, he know all words , the first word he started at 36 months mama, daddy, Now he know alphabets ,numbers, he is taking two words together sometimes three words together, he use to say prayers, now he started stories also ex: Mamma water, lift going up, like this he is talking , our concern is still he didn't started conversation talk 4 words together , kindly help us how to teach conversations. Hey Adrienne.. I’m glad I bumped into your channel. My 2.7 yr old son has moderately severe SNHL and is on HA with AVT. He’s now started vocalising and says Alphabets,numbers,rhymes ( without clarity) name animals, fruits etc . But he is not at all talking to us .. he won’t answer if I ask if he needs anything.. how can I make him initiate talking , ask for things .. pls help 🙏🏻

Hi! I need help. Please! So my nephew was been told not to press the car key as he would end up opening the car. They kept telling him, "Don't press it! Don't press it!" And I was getting frustrated with the adults. He is 3 years old but he doesn't know what that means. How can I teach him what the words "press" and "don't press" mean.
Research "negation." At 3, he most likely doesn't understand the word "don't" in this context. So all his brain is picking up on is his parents saying, "Press it! Press it!" so he is technically following directions because he isn't sure what the "don't" part means. Instead, give him something else to do with his hands. Can you clap 3 times? Can you knock on the keys? Can you point the keys at the sky? Drop the keys in my hands. Also, why is he holding car keys in the first place?
@@LearnWithAdrienne thank you. Idk why he was holding them. What happened was everyone was playing in the front yard. His mom had her purse with her, and the keys outside. Why? I have no idea. So at the end of the day she called him over to put his shoes on, and she put her purse and her keys down on the grass to help him put his shoes on. So I was putting my shoes on too and all of a sudden I see and hear her getting more and more upset telling him, "Don't press! Don't press!" Thanks for the respond!
Hello mam goodevening..my bby age is 28th month she is talking some words..she know how to pronounciate mummy and dady but she doesn't call me mummy..when she need anything she just took my hand point some what she need that's it..tell me the technique how to call me mummy..
Also, reading your comment, I noticed that you said at 28 months, your daughter is saying some words. Something to keep in mind, by 30 months, on average, children can say 450 words.
