0:42 The Burning of Harren Hoare in Harrenhal during Aegon’s Conquest
0:49 Arryn, Stark, and Tully bending the knees during the Aegon’s Conquest
0:58 The Iron Throne “rejecting” Maegor the Cruel, stabbing him

1:06 older Jahareys at the Great Council
1:09 Alicent in her green dress, Rhaenyra in her black dress, dividing the wedding in half
1:17 Aegon II on the Iron Throne, Rhaenyra at Dragonstone. Below each are the dragons on their side.
1:31 Vhagar kills Lucerys
You should describe the events of S1 too. It gives me goosebumps seeing those events on this tapestry.
Well spotted, and without a doubt that'd be King Jaeharys I and Queen Alysanne with Vermithor and Silverwing flanking them =D

Thank you
I 100% like this more than the previous one. At least I can recognize something.
Season 1 shows us the bloodline/family tree... Season 2 now shows us the history, which is EVEN better.
I mean… it was easy enough once you saw 1-2 episodes, the blood was filling the cups when they where dead. Here it’s beautiful but less spectacular at the same time
@@fraby2710 Yeah, but I didn't know any of the logos for the people, and it was hard to even notice if there were a change in the first place (well I didn't look that closely tbh), and when you do notice a change, you still have no idea who it was that died or was born, or got married etc, unless you went to look it up from the internet.
And compare it to this one. Not only do I know what every part means, I instantly saw the change and what it was for when it happened in episode 3 intro for example. It's just way better.
@@FinBoyXD Don’t get me wrong, I do agree that the previous one wasn’t as simple to understand, just I preferred it’s Aestetic tbh. Now it’s still cool but feels more generic than having a full map tour or having a tour of old Valeria that shows who has died or not, it’s very obvious now but I hope they bring some spice like maybe the paper burns and it brings us somewhere else when things get really messy
Someone : * Skip the intro *
Me : * He can keep his tongue * 🗡
That entire court scene - from Rhaenyra's children legitimacy coming into question to Grandpa Viserys coming to the rescue, assisted by brother Daemon on his walk towards the Iron Throne - is so beautiful!
Haha
can't?
😅
😂
For those who don’t know, this intro is a tapestry of the doom of Valyria, aegons conquest, Aegon the Usurper, and the events leading up to a dance of dragons.
It's the Cleopatra and the pyramids thing. The past was closer to DOTD events than modern Game of Thrones.
The Usurper is Rhaenyra. She's the one known as Rhaenyra the Usurper and Aegon is the one known as Aegon II

@@benbarberian1701 you don’t need to come at me, I already know what she was sewing is for. The pattern is similar tho, and I won’t be spoiling things for people in the comments of a intro video
@@joao_monteiro22 what I'm saying is Queen wasn't the autistic lady shown in the show, who dreamed foreshadowing prophecies and sew it on cloths to show how much greens ignored her. She was a normal woman who was drawn to madness by this horrific incident which show pretty much downplayed.
@@joao_monteiro22 and I'm sorry for my unkind language.
It’s closer to a tapestry, but frankly I’d pay to see a Dreamer weave a tapestry. You’d get some CRAZY stuff.
This is SOOOO much better, please please PLEASE do not change it!
Legos for S3 intro
They'll just sew in more moments in tapestry as the show goes on.
I think they should. Every season gets its own intro. Valerya was because of Viserys and his love of the histories. It followed the Targaryen bloodline. I think it’d be neat if it changed every season to fit a few characters
I would like it to be a map of westeros on the painted table in season 3 with tiny model dragons showing us where each one is
I really hope they don't hear you and keep innovating and surprising us with this amazing works of art. A different one, but memorable, for every season.

@@Waranger5I don't get it
The Field of Fire is in there too with Harrenhal
0:44 is both the burning of Harrenhall and the Field of Fire. People still can't tell which is which, but best to pay attention to the castle in the background on fire which is Harrenhall.
In foreground, is the Field of Fire representing dozen of dead soldiers their shields bare the sigil of Lannister and Gardener with 2 dragons cooking them in both sides.
My blood was pumping the moment I heard this music yesterday. No better feeling than having this masterpiece of a show to look forward to every Sunday until August.
How…how’re you holding up?
It's over
What a beautiful and unique intro, a tapestry describing the entire history of the Targaryens and the open-ended sequel. I thought the change was great 🤩
Threads of Black, Threads of Green!
Between them, only spilt red of blood
God there is too much prattle in house of the dragon instead of dialogues that ring for days in one's mind , comprehensive but not able to appease the mind, I have read every single word written in ASOIAF universe, and I have to agree, HBO Game of thrones was pretty neatly written and acted out show, at least till the source material ran out, house of the dragon feels like grad school level acting and very expensive filmography with too much focus on the visuals with no understanding of scene/story structure or dialogue which will ring in your head for weeks to come, I have to say however grudging it maybe that David and Dan did a pretty good job.
I love that this is a tapestry. I think we overlook the importance tapestries actually had throughout history (especially the Medieval period). Their level of complexity shows the importance of the family, but they’re also important insulators during winter.
Pure cinematic art here. Best intro ever made!
1:22 the best melody 😭🔥
It's a miracle.....I CAN ACTUALLY SEE SOMETHING!!!!!
Helaena Targaryen: “Hand turns loom; spool of green, spool of black. Dragons of flesh, weaving dragons of thread.”

Who went more time without touching grass?
1- A person in the 16th century trying to make this tapestry
2- The vfx team that made this intro
huh?
You are lame as duck.
@@adarniaHe means they spent so long making this intro the team forgot how the sun looks like
Chat gpt answer with each case being made by 3 persons:
In this scenario, the VFX team of 3 would likely be the ones who went more time without touching grass. Here's why:
VFX Work Environment: While some VFX work can involve location shoots for reference footage, the bulk of the job usually takes place in studios or dedicated workstations. This can lead to extended periods spent indoors, especially during production deadlines.
Tapestry Weaving: Depending on the location and setup, tapestry weaving could potentially be done in a workshop with natural light or even outdoors if weather permits. This might allow for more breaks and chances to be outside.
Additional factors:
Project Requirements: Tight deadlines in VFX projects can lead to intense work sessions, further limiting opportunities to go outside. Tapestry weaving, while time-consuming, might offer more flexibility in scheduling breaks.
Personal Habits: This is a lighthearted comparison, and individual habits can vary. Some VFX artists might prioritize breaks and get some fresh air, while some tapestry weavers might work long stretches indoors.
It's important to note: Both VFX and tapestry weaving are skilled professions, and dedication is crucial for success. However, the nature of VFX work often leans towards more studio-based environments, potentially leading to less contact with the outdoors.
I love the embroidery intro being a tapestry that shows the entire history of house targaryan from the doom all way to now in the show is beautiful.
It takes me back to GOT days.
That void can never be filled 😢
When i first saw this, i kid you not, the smile that was on my face.
Watching this series is like winning the Lottery again. Gets your blood pumping and keeps you at the edge of your seat. Amazing work HBO❤
So very powerful! It's like Sibelius and Mozart in one with a touch of Rachmanino.. Fantastic!
Whether it's GOT or HOTD never ever skipped this theme song❤❤❤
Someone: *skips the intro*
Me an intellectual: what you suggest is treason
dance of dragons is so beautifully potrayed visually in this intro.
The previous Game of Thrones openings were more about building castles and landscapes, but this one is completely different - it shows history.
1:22 Seeing all the houses appear around the two sides is definitely the most epic thing
My girlfriend skipped the intro, wait I mean ex-girlfriend
Best tv show ever
최근 오프닝에 목을 꿰맨 재해리스가 등장하는 장면이 추가된 게 너무 슬프다😢
This tapestry is a work of Helaena Targaryen.
So next episode we gonna see B&C added to the intro
😭😭😭😭
Ramin Djawadi's music for House of the Dragon is absolutely phenomenal. It adds so much depth and emotion to the series. Thank you for your outstanding work!❤
So did anyone notice the intro changes slightly for each episode, where the events of the previous episode is weaved into the tapestry? That is a very cool detail IMO
“Dragons of flesh weaving dragons of thread” - Helaena Targaryen 👌🏽
Until now....still grateful they kept the theme. Didn't even bother add anything.
I like how they changed it up.
It shows the History of House Targaryen. From the Doom of Valyria, to Aegons Conquest. All leading up to the Dance of Dragons.
The only TV series intro that I will never ever skip 😍
Someone "press the skip intro button"
Me "he can keep his head"
I miss this for long time❤❤❤
The song itself goosebumps moment
Is it Azor Ahai and Nissa Nissa on 0:11? Maybe the legendary Lightbringer has something to do with blood magic, Valyrian steel and dragons.
I can’t wait to see the Opening Credits for “The Last of Us Season 2”
And Now My watch begins
ALL THANK U TO DAENERYS TARGARYEN ..the mother of dragons

It's a crime to skip this intro
Well done. Amazing work.
Every single actor and actress acting in this are just insanely extraordinary, like out of this world level top. Other studio and streaming service needs to learn from HBO max how to create big and great things like this show.
Like there is no better shows than this out there 🤡
So glad the game of thrones theme is universal
It's an emotion. My all time favourite theme music 🎶❤💜
0:59 We see Silverwing and Vermithor around Maegor the cruel's throne
Also and at 1:00 we see their bodies behind their respective rides, Jaehaerys and Alysanne
Best opening with best score match together
This opening was incredible, impeccable! I had goosebumps from the beginning to the end. I'm the type of fan who never wants to skip the opening because it's just too good
New alarm 🏴

SO AWESOME
Can't wait to see the Daemond Vs Aemond battle
I hope they never change this theme for any season. This is an anthem.
It's amazing when you know that Haelena is stitching this and she knows what's about to come ! 🥂
My girlfriend skipped this intro
I mean my ex girlfriend
I still can't get over how they couldn't come up with their own theme music.
I’m so glad they kept the original title music, what a beautiful way to carry on the legacy from the original show. It is truly legendary. Can anyone hear those opening notes without feeling something powerful?
Una salchicha una salchicha una salchicha.. una salchicha 🎶🎤🎶
My favourite got intro yet! 😍😍😍
Its a piece of art ❤❤❤
This beat is hotter than Varys after betraying the Khaleesi of The Great Grass Sea
Another auditory masterpiece.
Westeros is back! Winter is coming.
I’m just saying, if they can get Michele Carragher (who does all the amazing embroidery for the show) to make an irl version of this I would be stoked
Tapisserie de Bayeux 😊
the theme always makes me feel nostalgic and old 😭❤
Slowly becoming Daemon without Syrax lol
Me and my mom watch this show and we never skip the intro, it’s so good😆😆😆
Reminds me of the Tapisserie of Bayeux
Loved the new introduction. It's so great!!
I'm so happy the dragons are back!! 😊🔥🐉
The best intro of all time ❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤
what a great time to be alive!!!❤❤❤
From 0:00 till end it's amazing
Me encanto que dejarán el mismo sonido ❤
I can feel those strings growing inside my skin
Hard to believe its been 13 years since Game of Thrones debuted. World seemed so different then. Nowadays, well, it is what it is.
It's still the same nothing changes.
I genuinely feel like Fire & Blood (the name of the book it’s based on) would’ve been a cooler title for this series 🤷🏽♂️
0:11 really great
despues de tantos años no puede ser que una cancion me conmueva y me emocione tanto igual que la primera vez que la escuche
Oui c’est possible
First image: Valyria, blood flows down it. I don't believe this is meant to frame the following events.
Second image: Valyrians prostrated before a dragon. I can't be sure but it looks like some sort of religious ceremony or ritual, maybe this is when the Valyrians first used blood magic to bind themselves to dragons. Some people have been saying it's a sphinx because it has a human head, I don't see it. The dragon seems to have multiple heads though so maybe it's a Azor Ahai reference (three heads of the dragon and all that.)
The candles in these scene have a resemblance to glass candles, the magical objects in the books which allowed the Valyrians to see great distances and communicate from afar similar to like a crystal orb you'd see a wizard using in a generic fantasy. There is a glass candle in Oldtown though no one has been able to light it (though the young maesters have to attempt to this is to show them that there are things in the world they don't understand, basically humbling them) until the events of the main series where it lights itself likely in reaction to the magical goings on of the books.
Third image: Looks like a Valyrian man is being stabbed from behind, maybe this is meant to represent the feud between the Dragonlords of Valyria, like the nobles of Westeros they are always locked in competition to be the top House.
Fourth image: A woman crying with a man in their arms. I don't really know what this means? Maybe it's just representative of the general grief that violence leaves behind.
Fifth image: The fourteen flames, the volcanos of the Valyrian Peninsula, the dragons falling representing the Doom of Valyria.
Sixth image: Aegon, Rhaenys and Visenya flying west.
Seventh image: Men dead, burnt by dragons as is the castle, though it could be representative of the Conquest as a whole it could also be specifically the Burning of Harrenhal. The castle in the image seems destroyed like Harrenhal, I would assume the man who is larger than the others is Black Harren, in ancient tapestries nobles were depicted as being larger to emphasis their importance.
Eighth image: The Arryns, Starks, and Tullys kneeling. You can see on the Arryn is a woman and a little boy because King Arryn was a little boy thus his mother was ruling in his stead (like Sweetrobin and Lysa.)
Ninth image: House Targaryen sigil above the Red Keep showing the new status quo of Westeros and like the first image framing the following events happening during the Westerosi Era of the Targaryens.
Tenth image: Maegor, the Third King, dead on the throne.
Eleventh image: Jaehaerys' coronation, though interestingly enough he shares the image with his wife Alysanne likely this represents how the two were equals--or close enough--basically the image is placing emphasis on Alysanne's importance.
Twelfth image: The Great Council of 101 AC which began the show.
Thirteenth image: The Green and Black Councils opposing each other with Alicent and Rhaenyra heading the table.
Fourteenth image: Aegon II and Rhaenyra sitting their thrones. Aegon II sitting the Iron Throne, of course, and Rhaenyra sitting that throne we see in Dragonstone in GoT, I don't think we ever see it in HoTD nor is it in the book. A green hand and a black hand send out messages, the green hand sending ravens while the black hand sending out Luke and Jace. I don't know why Vhagar\Aemond aren't shown coming from the green hand.
Fifteenth image: Aemond's big accident--hey, you can even see Little Luke dead on the ground.
I liked the old one more, seeing how the family grows and how the sigils filled after they d*ed
We are so back boys
When watching this it somehow give me got vibes and it hits hard
