My 12 year old special needs daughter recently saw me watching your videos and she is now obsessed with watching them. She will be so happy to see this when she gets home from school today. Thank you for the work you put into your videos.
My son is the same. He loves Becky. I think it has to do with her voice, and how clam she comes off. She has helped with my depression and she even has me and my son gardening. Becky and family are awesome!
That universal "daughter smile" to camera when Becky's mom gets ice when Becky is doing a piece to camera. 😂 Absolutely love it. Your mom daughter relationship is lovely and it's very fun to watch and feel like I'm with you guys in the kitchen! Your cooking is so adventurous and I learn a lot every time you do a video. ❤❤❤
My mom is gone 25 years and my sister is gone too .. this brought back so many great memories , but it’s bitter sweet . Cherish your mom Becky , you are making great memories together .. Enjoy , Happy Thanksgiving to all of you , God Bless 🧙♀️🦃🍁🧙♀️🦃🍁🧙♀️🦃🍁 ❤️
I couldn't have said it better. I have some amazing, treasured memories of prepping, baking, cooking and candy making for the holidays with my grandma and Mom who have both been gone many years now. Watching brings back those memories and I find myself talking to Becky and her mom about how we did this or that or if our family preferred something a certain way. So from one daughter to another, Happy Thanksgiving and sending hugs from those who couldn't be here with us in person but are always with us in spirit.
I also loss my mother over 30 ago, I miss her and all the good time we had I’ve also loss my 3 sister one just in Sept. I have two beautiful daughters to share all the good times with. 💜
@@annateague2354 we have our treasured memories in our heart , forever . Happy Thanksgiving to you and your family .. I wish I had a daughter , I do have a son and we have been making memories together , he loves to cook and I clean his mess !! Lol
I love this. I have cried through most of it because my mom and I always did the cooking together. Then she got to where she couldn’t stand to help so I put her a chair where she could “instruct “ me. I lost her in 2019 and it is miserable. Now I have lost my sister and my dad. Thanks for sharing your amazing memories with me. I love your channel and watch all the time.
I am truly so sorry for you multiple losses 😢. I call my mom almost every day and we are almost exactly 20 years apart (I am 61 ans she is 81). I can NOT imagine lossing her. Again so sorry 😞
I just realised it's not that often you see people cooking together in a perfect harmony as you may get in each other's way, or each chef would have a particular way of doing things their way... so this is quite a heart-warming sight!
I’m had to laugh when Becky was surprised that her mom watched her video and then used her suggestions! Becky, as much as we all love you, your mom is your biggest fan!!
If you are measuring corn syrup, molasses etc for a recipe that uses eggs, crack an egg into the measuring cup and swirl it to coat the sides, then your sticky liquid will slide right out. Everything looked really great! Hope it all was enjoyed by all.
Love any video with your mom. Treasure these times. I lost my mom to cancer 8 yrs ago. She would of loved watching your videos. Happy Thanksgiving to the entire Acre family
I also lost my mom 8 years ago. Thanksgiving was her favorite holiday. We’ve kept the tradition going with many of the sides that she used to make. I miss her so much, she was my best friend. The holidays just aren’t the same.
Hiya English here, Golden syrup is a gloopy thick sugar syrup, the sugar used is lightly caramelised hence its golden colour. We use it alot on pancakes (the way Canadians use maple syrup). I'm glad the corn syrup worked, it's definitely the right consistency! 🎉 I love your freezer meals and watch your Thanksgiving videos for Christmas inspiration ❤
Look in the international aisle, it comes in a tin or small bottle. It’s what you use to make sea foam ? Candy., It’s syrup made with cane sugar. It’s great 😌😋
Us Aussies use Golden syrup with Anzac Biscuits and topping for pancakes a lot, it's quite yum, it reminds me of maple syrup but I call it the Aussie version of Maple, I know true maple is Canadian...
your comment makes me chuckle. Not everyone in Canada use maple syrup (not everyone likes the maple flavour), its very expensive and a bit of a luxury. More common syrup (that is a lot more affordable) is the golden syrup. I would use corn syrup for specific recipes, such as butter tarts...
I am going to make my FIRST pumpkin pie using a fresh pumpkin (note: I am 76). I have always used canned from store. You inspire so many, you have healed many from depression….. Becky and Mama! Thankful to have found your channel……
This video made me so emotional…my mom passed away a month before thanksgiving last year. My dad hosted thanksgiving and it was bittersweet sweet. It was the last holiday meal in the house, he recently sold it 😢 so this year I am hosting thanksgiving. I love how well you and your mom work in the kitchen. My mom and I butted heads all the time so I never got to help out in the kitchen. Happy Thanksgiving to you and your family. Thank you for an amazing video!
Becky, it warms my heart to see you and your mom cooking together. It brings back such wonderful memories of my mom and I cooking together. My mom Passed away at the age of 68. I'm now 73 and I still miss her so very much. We always had a great time. Have a great Thanksgiving with your family.
I started prepping for my thanksgiving meal today. It's just me and my mom. My husband is going to his family. My mom spent last 3 months in hospital and nursing home after falling in her yard and fracturing her tibia and fibula. I'm so thankful she's here with me for another year. She's 88 years old.
I've been so ill this week with chronic illness and your videos make me feel productive in a way. I make notes and when I'm having a good day, I meal prep to help my family and I on the hard days. Thank you for sharing, your positivity and energy is very uplifting 🫶
I use to do this with my mom every year. We had around 32 people for Thanksgiving now I go to Pittsburgh to spend Thanksgiving with our son. He lives 2 hours away from us and only gets the day off he always wants to see us for the holidays and he doesn’t drive. He has autism and went to college in Pittsburgh and stayed he is independent and living his best independent life. So enjoy while you can. My mom goes to my sister’s house now. Have a great holiday season with your family and friends ❤
For Pecan recipe... That's Alton Brown from MANY years cooking on TV. He's American. I'm seeing that many, many bakers use weights instead of cups because it's more accurate. I bought a scale myself. Very handy. Golden Syrup is common in British and Canadian baking. Just google for substitutes: Maple, Brown Rice Syrup, or Corn Syrup.
My husband is a former plumber and potato skins are one of the number one things he says to never put in the garbage disposal. The starch just binds up and makes a blockage. I actually very rarely use my garbage disposal.
Garbage disposal in not very popular where I'm from. Learned from my mom to peel all my veggies on old newspapers. Clean up is a breeze and easy to compost.
In a really great and weird way....this is like watching an actually interesting football game or something 😊 We got our play by plays, our timers, different camera angles, different quarters etc 😂. I can't really watch a full game of any kind but these holiday videos are always really nice!
It's nice to see that I'm not alone in doing my early prep for the holidays. My granddaughter Jaiden is coming today to stay through Thanksgiving to help with the prep as she does for the last 8 years. She's 10 this year and loves to cook with me.
i wish i could get together like this with my mom for thanksgiving... i've had to figure out all the ins and outs of homemaking myself. bless you and your family. i didnt even really think that you should prep so far in advance but it makes more sense, ive always scrambled the day of and the day before. i wish had had other women in my family to turn to, to get together and prepare like this. in many ways, that's why youtube homemakers are such a blessing to others. i truly wish you the best this holiday season, may you and yours create many memories together and enjoy the food you bring to the table.
The microphones have been such a good improvement, fab idea! I don’t know if anyone else from England thinks the same as me but to me a pie is something with a pastry lid, whether it’s sweet or savoury, and a tart is something without a pastry lid over here x
Suggestion: when measuring thick and sticky ingredients (any syrup, molasses), lightly spray (e.g. with Pam) the measuring container! It will slip out so easily and is then easy to clean!
One of the things my mom taught me when peeling potatoes, is to get a large bowl with cold water, so as you peel the potatoes you toss them into the water and that prevents browning and makes for easier washing the potatoes. Hope you ladies have a wonderful Thanksgiving!
When your Mom mentioned those potato peels getting hung up in her drain I had flashbacks of the day that I stopped up my garbage disposal and had to pay a plumber to unclog my drain. They are very proud of their labor$$$!! As a rule, NEVER put potato peels or onion peels down the garbage disposal!! Becky, sometimes we don’t do traditional dinner for Christmas. We cook ribeyes on the grill or sausage and chicken gumbo and jambalaya. I am a Louisiana girl born and raised here and I still live here. We have also cooked lasagna. And at times we have done just party food. It just depends what everyone has a request for. I sure wish I had my Mom to cook with. It sure warmed my heart seeing you two cooking together! My Mom and I used to enjoy it so much just like you and your Mom are doing! My Mom taught me everything I know about cooking, Now it’s my job to cook the cornbread dressing. My sisters never learned how to cook it. But I love doing that task.
My😊m and sister and I used to cook ahead, for Thanksgiving and Christmas. Those days were filled with love, harmony and Christmas music in the background. My sister always insisted on doing the bulk of the work no matter what. So generous and selfless. Such lovely memories you are triggering Becky. Too bad they are both gone now, but the memories they left are priceless.
I love that your Mom is cooking with you. I love that she measures all the ingredients. It will be great memories that you are making. Enjoy you day and blessings for everyone.
I could watch you and your mom cook everyday. I really miss cooking with my mom, she passed in 2020! Oh, what wonderful memories I have, enjoy your time together and thank you for sharing this with us it brings me so much joy 🙏❤️
I lost my mom 2 years ago & I so miss cooking with her. Thankful that you will have these videos to look back at one day & remember these special times with your momma.
I love that you and your Mother cooked together and shared this traditional meal prep with us. Made me feel like I was back home with all my family enjoying the holidays. Wishing you and your family the very best.
As a child I watched my mom and aunt prepare big holiday meals; an adult I would help my mom and in a few years, once we move closer to my adult daughter it’ll be she and I in the kitchen together. I adore watching you and your mom spend time together cooking and being together. Happy Thanksgiving Becky & family
I’m prepping my turkey brine, got my cornbread in the oven (I’m in the South; we like a combo of cornbread and crouton dressing), and chopping my veggies for dressing while I watch. Instead of pecan pie, this year I’m making mini tarts with phyllo dough. Happy turkey day, Becky & mom!
I have to say I think it's become a tradition for me to watch all prepare your Thanksgiving ever since you joined this platform! I don't think I've missed a single holiday prep from you and your mom and I love it so much! Mostly because I no longer have my mom she passed away in may of 2012..... And the Thanksgiving right before her passing was the first year she taught me how to make dressing.
Becky I totally love watching you and your mum cook. Love that you still ask her question giving her her place in her kitchen and as your mum. Very respectfully . We can always lead from our mum's xxx
It’s Becky time!!! Me and my three year old son just love to watch you. He is going to be excited when I tell him who just uploaded! Happy thanksgiving Becky and family 🦃❤️
I literally came to the comments section to see if anyone mentioned golden syrup 😂. I'm from New Zealand and it's an absolute staple in our pantry. It is actually a by-product of refining sugar cane to create sugar and is buttery and almost caramel like without any dairy in it. My husband and kids like to have it on pancakes instead of maple syrup & it is amazing on hot buttery toast as well as having a ton of uses in baking
It's a massive staple in British baking. It's good eaten on scotch pancakes, and it's most delicious when it's been heated up to eat with banana fritters. 😋 😊
I’ve been looking forward to this video since last year! Your mom is so helpful with her schedule. I love watching you both cook even the grocery haul. It’s like we are with you guys every step of the way 😂
Your mom has such wonderful ideas and I know you have learned so much from her! You’re very lucky to have such a great teacher and friend there! I know as I had that with my momma.
I am in Indiana and your corn shuffle is called corn pudding here. It is always served at Thanksgiving and loved by everyone. This was fun watching the two of you working together.
I love these videos of you cooking with your mum. Me and my aren't able to do that anymore as she has parkinson's and these videos bring back happy memories of working together in the kitchen so thank you to you both! Love from New Zealand
To Becky and her Mom, “The Dynamic Duo” It is a total joy to watch both of you cooking as one.! Wishing both families the blessings of Thanksgiving and I am truly grateful for the videos❤️
I've been watching you guys for years, and now as I'm having my own kids and watching them grow i hope i can build traditions like this for them. My 3yo loves helping me in the kitchen. I hope that my kitchen will look like this in a couple decades ❤
Golden syrup is a British thing! It's got a much more pronounced flavour than corn syrup, but probably has the same effect. Would recommend trying it, it's so beautiful in oatmeal (we call that porridge) with just a bit of flaky salt on top - very traditional Scottish breakfast. Also unbelievable on pancakes!
Becky, it was fun watching you peel potatoes and talk about what you're doing because you talk with your hands. You were busy peeling and every once in a while you couldn't stand it and your hand would fly up with the potato peeler and whatever was on the peeler flew over your shoulder. This is my favorite video of all year! Reminds me of the wonderful times my mother and I spent in the kitchen cooking for the holidays. Thank you and your Mom so much! Have a blessed Thanksgiving. God bless you and yours!
You can take your hand blender to get the strings out of pumpkin mixture. My mom uses a hand blender to get the strings out of her sweet potato mixture it came out smooth.❤ Happy Thankgiving to Becky and Mom and family❤
I look forward to this every year!!! Now to part two. You and your mom work so well together. She is so nice and so is your dad. I can see why you are such a smart and nice person. Happy safe Thanksgiving to you and your family.
Love this time of year when I can watch Becky and her Mom in the kitchen. So heartwarming, sweet and fun. They always make me laugh too. The best one hour and twety minutes as I prepped for Thanksgiving as well....LOVE IT! Thanks for sharing 🥰
LOVE it, thanks for sharing with us!! My favorite way to make multiple turkeys is to deep fry them. OMG!!!! Not only do they take 45 minutes each...but they are frickin' amazing! The boys love getting involved too, making you free to do all the other fun stuff. Wink wink. Cheers to a fabulous holiday season!
L♥️VE this video! Thank you Becky and Mom for sharing your tips and tricks with us for a stress free holiday! I appreciate you both so very much! Happy Thanksgiving to you and your beautiful family! 🥰♥️🦃👍😘
Becky I googled golden syrup and it’s origin is England and is processing cane sugar or beet juice and simmering it low and slow until it becomes a golden color, and as it cools it will thicken, but not nearly as thick as corn syrup. Almost like making brown butter but not as dark! Your mom and you worked hard today! Enjoy your pre-Thanksgiving!❤
Golden syrup is used in a lot of Australian recipes, most famously for ANZAC biscuits (cookies). It is like a cross between treacle and honey, or a much richer honey. We also love it as Golden Syrup dumplings.
I was so happy to see that this video was ready to watch this morning when I got up. Hi Becky and Mom 👋 I absolutely love watching your Thanksgiving cooking together ❤️ I do have to say that "golden syrup" is different than Karo syrup, but I would also just use Karo cause I never buy golden syrup. Your mom is so sweet. The way you look and smile at her brings me to tears. I lost my mom and dad when I was 16, so I truly love the togetherness of you both. ❤️ I wish you all happy Thanksgiving and the most beautiful time with family and friends.
I am late coming to this party and I love watching you and Mom cook. It reminds me of when my mom and I would cook like crazy for Thanksgiving and Christmas. My mom passed 14 years ago and the fun is gone so watching you brings back memories for me. Thank you for the memories
I like the idea of setting a phone timer when each piece needs to go to the oven, rather than just having it written down on a sheet of paper. I will be doing that on Thursday morning. Thanks for letting us watch the two of you prep all of the meal. Those recipes look great.
Hi Becky and Mum, ive had such a stressful week and this video came at just the right time, i now feel relaxed and content that i will be able to get through the rest of this week, much love and Happy Thanksgiving to you all. X
Missing my mom who lives in another state. It is SO GOOD watching the two of you share these special mother-daughter moments...I'm living vicariously through you!! Thanks for sharing❤
Love your videos. Becky, you were correct. A real corn soufflé takes lots of eggs. The ingredients isn’t even close to this. I’m Pennsylvania Dutch and we make it all the time. I think what your mom is making is more of a corn casserole. Hope you all had a lovely thanksgiving.
I loved this video with you and your mom. I lost my mother January 2023, after a surprising and aggressive cancer diagnosis...8 weeks prior to her passing. She always loved Thanksgiving and last Thanksgiving was the last holiday we all spent with her. I loved seeing how well you and your mom work together. I can see where you get some of your organization skills from! Great video
Dear Becky, at some point in the video a private picture is blurred out. That's great and very respectful! But please concider that also for the people in your supermarket videos and when you're out and about. They didn't asked to be filmed and there were a few. And as a European, the pecan pie is traditional to North America. We don't grow or import pecans a lot. We mainly bake with hazelnut, almonds, walnuts.
We have always loved corn casserole and whole berry cranberry orange homemade relish as much a part as the sausage stuffing, Turkey, white ( actually Yukon gold) mashed potatoes, candied yams, green bean casserole and carrots especially with a large crowd. Fluffy rolls and gravy. Our desserts have varied but always include 1 pumpkin pie and a pecan or apple pie. We always add a third new dessert every year.
You guys are the best! Working on 4 of the recipes you have made in this and other videos.. Thank you both so much for inspiration and help in getting things organized. Hosting another Thanksgiving meal all by myself. The past 15 years have been kinda hectic. This has made things much easier.. thanks so much❤
I have to say Becky I love watching you and your mom in the kitchen together!! You guys are great together and its a treat to see you guys and how organized your mom and you are when planning your get togethers. I look forward to the holiday season just for theses videos!
Hi Becky! One tip for the fried onions. Don't put the onions directly into the pan rather put a larger wire sieve into the oil and put the onions into the sieve so getting them out is easier. Basically a makeshift deep fryer but smaller holes so the onions don't escape and it's way quicker to get them out onto the paper towel. Sidenote: We have a dish here called "hagymás rostélyos" which kind of translates to a roast (any kind of meat but usually beef) with onions more or less like a well done steak. So also goes well with steak, try it sometime 😊 Happy Thanksgiving! It seems like a great holiday . It's a pity we don't have it here in Hungary.
What a lovely video! I love it when your beautiful mom cooks (or shops) with you. You are so blessed to have her! I like how you both ask each other about each recipe. I want to apologize for being upset at you a few months ago, for not showing the baby, I know it’s a very private matter and you’re a beautiful human being. Thank you and may you and your lovely family have the best Thanksgiving Day. God bless you all!
Love watching you and your mom working so beautifully together makes my heart happy! I do have to say, being from Central Oregon and in drought conditions (had to have our well redrilled last year to the tune of $10,000) it drives me a little nuts to see the water just running down the drain when you were doing the potatoes. ❤❤😂

Thank you, what a great tip. I’ve known about measuring oil first then the sticky ingredient, but never knew about the egg trick.

I always loved cooking with my mom, especially for the holidays. You are blessed to have this time with your mom. Cherish it.
Yes Becky & her Momma are cooking!!! ❤❤
That view out your moms kitchen window is Spectacular!!
I love cooking with mom videos!!! Ya'll are so efficient... super goals!!
Thank you!!
One of my most favourite collection of videos you do is your holiday shop, prep and whole cooking of your family holiday meals.
Ha! Also from Texas. Because it is actually cold outside, my husband also placed the turkey brine outside to cool down.
Your mom is so sweet. I just love her and watching you ladies cooked together was great❤
What a sweet time with your Mom. I remember those days with my Momma. Cherish every day you have with your precious parents.
Becky I totally love watching you and your mum cook. Love that you still ask her question giving her her place in her kitchen and as your mum. Very respectfully . We can always lead from our mum's xxx
Your so lucky to have a kitchen that’s big enough for 2 cooks. I’m envious! 😊
Yummy!
it's described as a 'light treacle'. and it's a lovely golden colour. we have it too in australia and it's great for golden syrup dumplings!
It has a lovely rich caramel flavor. I love it too.
The best for Anzac biscuits hi from oz
It's a massive staple in British baking. It's good eaten on scotch pancakes, and it's most delicious when it's been heated up to eat with banana fritters. 😋 😊
I’ve been looking forward to this video since last year! Your mom is so helpful with her schedule. I love watching you both cook even the grocery haul. It’s like we are with you guys every step of the way 😂
Your mom has such wonderful ideas and I know you have learned so much from her! You’re very lucky to have such a great teacher and friend there! I know as I had that with my momma.
Love these. Something about your parents in your videos are just so much fun!
Your mom is sooo organized. I appreciate how clean you two work . Everything looks amazing
And very popular here in Australia. Important ingredient in ANZAC biscuits. Also yummy on fresh white bread & real butter.
Your mom is the star! She works amazingly hard!! She’s very organized!!! Love her!
BECKY! You and your family are a light in the world! Thank you for sharing with us.
Love when you and your mom or MIL are in the kitchen.
😂.
Becky, your mom is a doll! Ty so much for sharing everything. Fantastic job. :-)
You can take your hand blender to get the strings out of pumpkin mixture. My mom uses a hand blender to get the strings out of her sweet potato mixture it came out smooth.❤
Happy Thankgiving to Becky and Mom and family❤
I look forward to this every year!!! Now to part two. You and your mom work so well together. She is so nice and so is your dad. I can see why you are such a smart and nice person. Happy safe Thanksgiving to you and your family.
Here for the tips and the adorable relationship between you and your mom! ❤😊
Love this time of year when I can watch Becky and her Mom in the kitchen. So heartwarming, sweet and fun. They always make me laugh too. The best one hour and twety minutes as I prepped for Thanksgiving as well....LOVE IT! Thanks for sharing 🥰
What a grand day ~ a grand design ~ a grand relationship! You both are simply lovely! Simply special! Love your channel! ❤
I would do anything in the world to have a loving mother to cook holiday meals together!!
So lovely to watch this ❤️
Love cooking from scratch!!! Happy thanksgiving y’all ❤🎉
I love your mom's hair up in a twist. It looks so easy and elegant. Your holiday feast is going to be spectacular.
I order if from Amazon but recently saw it in my baking aisle.
@@bethlewis9981 World Market has it also!
Golden syrup is used in a lot of Australian recipes, most famously for ANZAC biscuits (cookies).
It is like a cross between treacle and honey, or a much richer honey.
We also love it as Golden Syrup dumplings.
@@kathiebezer1956 Yum sounds delicious!
I was so happy to see that this video was ready to watch this morning when I got up. Hi Becky and Mom 👋
I absolutely love watching your Thanksgiving cooking together ❤️ I do have to say that "golden syrup" is different than Karo syrup, but I would also just use Karo cause I never buy golden syrup.
I love your family tradition of cooking with your mom - and lunching with your dad! I cannot wait to try several of these wonderful recipes.
Can you give your mom her own segment on your show lol I love all her tips and I want to know more! 😂❤️
Your parents are lovely people and you turned out just as lovely as them ❤
I loved this video with you and your mom.
Agreed. Such an invasion of privacy... makes me cringe to see innocent strangers in her backgrounds
So also goes well with steak, try it sometime 😊
Happy Thanksgiving!
You're both amazing. How wonderful!!!
Becky, you and your Mom work so well together!
You two are a dynamic duo, Happy Thanksgiving 💐
I love it when you and your mother cook together ❤
I love these holiday videos with your mom!! I miss being in the kitchen with my mom and Grandma. Happy Thanksgiving! 🤎🧡
Love watching you and your mom working so beautifully together makes my heart happy! I do have to say, being from Central Oregon and in drought conditions (had to have our well redrilled last year to the tune of $10,000) it drives me a little nuts to see the water just running down the drain when you were doing the potatoes. ❤❤😂
