What I love to see is your joy in the process 🥰 Everyone in my family was cussing and complaining about having to cook / wash dishes and my Thanksgiving memories as a child were not happy. I took over when I was old enough. We have a lot of fun and laughter in my house 🏡

I love the moments when I realize I'm using the same Walmart ingredient or equipment you are when cooking. It's a confidence booster. No expensive equipment needed when making these delish meals. When making your desserts, my kids would say, "We're using the same black whisk or measuring spoons as Charlie". At that moment I don't know who is more excited about such a thing me or them. 😁 As you can see you are a celebrity in our home. The saying goes the way to a man's heart is through the stomach. Well Charlie you are right there

Charlie, after living my early adulthood in NOLA in the 70s and 80s and moving to Mobile, AL for the next 20 years, it’s so wonderful to be able to watch someone cook “real New Orleans” food - and not have people say, “why do you do it that way?” Because as Charlie Andrews shows… That’s the ONLY way to cook. No short cuts! Your recipes are to “live” for!

Mr Charlie, my family is from VillePlatte Louisiana, I love to watch you cook, I cook too but I'm not as proficient as you, but I cook with joy in my heart no cussing and fussing just joy in my heart, I live all the way in Oakland CA but when I cook a sauce piquant or gumbo everybody loves it when I cook!

Watching you calmly prep and cook all this amazing food is relaxing. It may be your voice too, very just soothing as you explain it all. Who needs therapy when I can just turn this video back on and have my anxiety melt away? 😆 I make a different turkey day menu but I am going to keep all these prep tricks. Hi Charlie haven’t seen you in a long while now. I remember this video. You cooked your butt off this year. I could only imagine how tired you were. I used to cook like you. Sometimes I would cook so much I would forget about dishes I prepared until company got to my house then my family would take over. That was such a great feeling after all that cooking but they would bring a dish too. I miss those days and it’s good to see you again. I’ve had several loses in my family since this video. I stopped cooking since I’m now 70 I go to my daughters houses. Happy Holidays to you and yours. 🎉🎉🎉
