- This is my detailed and long term review of the Samsung Galaxy Tab S8. It is a wonderful tablet which is priced very well for what it offers and has so many useful features. This is a tablet I highly recommend for anyone wanting a capable tablet which can handle both work and entertainment.

43k is a very good price for Tab S8...especially considering the fact that Tab s9 series has been priced quite high... and other than display, ip68 and newer processor, it's basically the same thing.
Tab s8 is still very relevant and the best for productivity and multi tasking
For how much years can I use tab s8 if I use moderately for only note making and lecture watching.

It's been a couple months now since I've bought this tablet and it is great. ua-cam.com/users/postUgkxAxiUS5CgVC3j8FwNOHt037zhsquGQpXv The tablet is responsive and runs well. There were a few times that the tablet did an awkward thing where it would detect pen on at all times and wouldn't register finger press, but it is usually fixed by closing and opening either the screen or app. This is highly likely due to my excessive use for drawing which caused this and wasn't really very big. As I mostly enjoy using the tablet for drawing (and some light gaming), I would comment from that aspect that there is definitely more accurate pressure and drawing using a PC device and drawing tablet, however i find the moveablity of the tablet more enjoyable to draw on. Like how you can physically rotate and move a piece of paper around or even draw casually on your bed.All in all, as a tablet it is good, and as a drawing device can be good depending on what you want from a drawing device. It is definitely good enough if you just want to use it to take notes. For typing though I can't comment on the keyboard as I did not get the keyboard.

How much space does the installed app take up in memory? Would 128gb be enough for a lot of notetaking, study apps, pdf app etc.?
If you don't install many heavy games like genshin impact, 128gb is enough. You can always expand the storage with a micro SD card upto 1TB and can also use it to store apps and games. Pdfs, notes, etc, take a negligible amount of space. So, that's a non issue.

If the condition of the Tab s8 is good, it is way superior to any Tab under 30-40k in terms of features, performance, multi-tasking, and productivity.
i m planning to purchase this tablet for long hours of media consumption as well as long hours of multitasking with 3 way splitscreen and to take notes for long hours.I m only scared of 8 gen 1 chipset heating in such usage .i m not thinking of buying this tablet for gaming.So does this tablet heat in such usage of long hours of multitasking with splitscreen 3 ways +long hours of media consumption and long hours of taking notes?

Ya, all these things can be easily done on the Tab s8, and it does promise 4 years of major software updates. So, you're covered.
However, the Tab s9 is just around the corner. It's rumored to be announced in early August. So, it's only 2 months away, and it will pack Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 chip, which is a big upgrade over Gen 1 powering the Tab s8.

Only the wallpaper is different. The Wallpaper I'm using on the Tab S8 is called Flamin' Hot on the Backdrops App. I've blurred and darkened it.

I've used it in second screen mode for a couple of hrs many times. And I've not encountered any major heating issue.
I use it for 6-7 hrs non stop for note taking, story boarding and research while I do video editing... without any issues.
Basically, it might get a little warm doing these things but it only gets hot while playing games with amazing graphics like asphalt 9 and genshin impact.
If you're skeptical, you can wait a few months as tab s9 series with snapdragon 8 gen 2 is rumoured to launch in August.

I have the tab s8 but in efootball pes..the game is pixellated and does not run on 60 fps...what is the reason...i mean sd 8 gen 1 can easily handle it..
also efootball runs smoothly on sd 845.😅
I tested it on my tab s8. It worked perfectly well on high graphics and 60fps. I played for half an hr and the tablet didn't even get warm. I had the fps meter on and it was constantly showing between 55-60fps.

It's Android 13 (One UI 5) and I bought it at launch (March 22).
To improve your gaming performance, try using game plugins app. In that app, open the game booster plus module. Select your game and select max fps mode. Also, open game launcher app, go to more > game booster. In this app, go to labs and enable alternate game performance.
These settings will boost your gaming performance.

My tab is getting slight warm at top back&screen. Is it normal or I should go for replacement.
It is normal if it's getting slightly warm while being used. But if it is getting warm on idle, that's abnormal.
@@RONTEK Don't you feel fast battery drain too.. and it gets more warm and it gets difficult to hold it. I talked to samsung support, they remotely connected to my tab and diagonised that some of the apps like netflix amazon and spotify are using more ram. I Uninstalled them and with other apps it is working fine, but soon I realised that with multitasking also it gets heated at top. I don't know what to do, as I m not using any case, so it might be possible that I m feeling more heat.
And secondly I m facing battery drain issue too.
Does is support dolby vision + atmos + 4k hdr on netflix?
No, 4k in netflix is not supported by any android phone or tablet. Dolby vision is not supported by any Samsung device as it is a competition to Samsung's own HDR10+. However, you don't get any kind of HDR support inside netflix on this tablet. You only get HDR support on youtube.
You get Dolby Atmos support in the tablet, but I've not seen the atmos logo in the Netflix app. However, you do get spacial audio.

I own the xiaomi pad 2, and it has Dolby vision support in netflix but not in 4k. Overall, the display and audio performance of the xiaomi pad is slightly better than the Tab s8, but the Tab s8 is way more capable and powerful.

Both tablets have good enough performance for being long-lasting. However, xiaomi hasn't committed to any major Android updates. On the other hand, tab s8 will atleast get upto Android 16.
Also, it depends on your usage. If you just want it for basic stuff like entertainment and gaming, xiaomi pad 6 is enough. However, if you have more productivity requirements with notes taking, multi-tasking, etc, tab s8 will be much better.
Don't buy tab s8, it has over heating issues because of Low grade cpu SD 8 gen1 manufactured by the sams0ng,even geekbench banned this tablet because of the cheating in their benchmarks,& also Sammy is notorious for slowing their tablets after updates as soon as their 1 year warranty ends,Go for mi pad 6 with SD870 processor & don't update software manually,you will get great stable performance in games & multimedia tasking aswell

@Souraj Kundu just like it did the day I bought it. I also like the fact that if I put an app on my phone, the installation will ask me if I want to install the same app on my tablet. If you use Samsung notes. It is seamless between my tablet and phone. Even transferring pictures.
Does it have cellular? Can it make calls?
I've the wifi model. But there is also a 5g model that can make calls.

I think the default answer is iPad, but I would differ and suggest the Tab S8 or S9 series.
This mainly comes down to the point that Samsung's S-Pen requires no charge to write notes. You can keep writing without worrying that the pen will run out of charge.
With the 10th gen ipad, which is priced similar to the Tab s8, you've to charge the pencil with a lightning cable. This is quite inconvenient, and it can run out of charge mid way during the day. You never have to worry about something like that with samsung.
Also, Samsung's s-pen feels very much like writing on a piece of paper.
Also, the Samsung notes app is really good and can easily compete with any of the best notes apps in the market right now.

It'll be officially supported for 5 years, after which it'll stop receiving any updates.
I think it'll be fine for 4-5 years, and depending on your usage, even 6 years is manageable.

It's the best tablet for productivity and multi-tasking. However, if you just need a tablet for entertainment, something like a oneplus pad would save you money while providing a comparable or slightly better experience. And if you can wait for August, Tab s9 is going to launch, and it will be much more powerful.

La compré por que no tenía opción si quería seguir con la marca (los modelos + y ultra son enormes para llevar a mi trabajo) y el caso es que yo vengo de una s6 co pantalla súper amoled. Esta incorpora pantalla Led... vinie do dela S6, parece que me he comprado una tablet antigua... los negros no son negros.
La pantalla es lo primero wue llama la atención y aunque lo demás sea mejor, la s6 trabajaba igual de bien y con una imagen impresionante en comparación con la s8. Y no lo digo yo solamente.

Tab s8 is much more powerful. Whereas tab s9fe is more energy efficient. So, decide based on your requirements.
