Building my first one, and am wanting to get into racing them. I am using your videos for build guidance and would also like to keep mine USLMRA compliant. Videos are awesome and am grateful for the parts list in the description. Sure helps. Keep up the awesome videos
This is so cool. I've been wanting to raise all my life. Since my first junk car, i would race around the farm .. Now im looking to do something new, and this lawnmower raising, i think, is it.. .looking forward to seeing some races, but not having much luck in finding the raise tracks. Any ideas, i live in Punta Gorda Florida.. Thanks
The front wheels on my riding mower (Kawasaki) are great, just rebuilt the whole thing by the linkage is set up to specifically handle ultra rough terrain of a farm vs. the standard golfing lawn property..but they are designed to flex independently with each land feature. This is not desirable on the racing track. How do you design your front end for smooth and stable turning at higher speeds?
8" is pretty standard for mowers and required by the rules for this class, some of the smaller frames and more kart style machines do use 6" wheels though.
Thanks for the support! Most of the racing mower parts like the special hubs and axle hardware is from E.C. Carburetors, I got wheels and other cart stuff from BMI and then tires from Amazon and Lawnmowertirestore. I'll keep the descriptions updated with the parts and where I got them too.
Big plans lol, I uploaded one video of the new rear end but I really need to get it together with a new motor for the summer. It'll be a pro charged SBC and I'm still not sure about body and interior plans.
TheJanticJournal sounds like fun pro charged sbc I put a 9 inch from pem racing in my g body and I have been doing a lot of frame work my videos are poor quality lol but I try
good video but i do have to say unless USLMRA has changed even if you read the rule book & make it fit the rule book, they will change it on a case by case basis thats why we stopped lawn mower racing. Good luck cant wait to see it done.
Thanks for the support! Sorry to hear that was your experience, I've only run a handful of national events but have seen over the years a slight loosening of rules allowing a little more freedom with fenders to equalize the manufacturers more.
@@TheJanticJournal im excited, i understand its gotta be a shit ton of work to make videos that dont pay the bills (yet) take your time, im just stoked your making vids again.

Do the wheels really have a diameter of 8" with the wheel wouldn't that be quite a big wheel for a racing mower?

Is it against the rules to have a fule guage on the tractor?
I I have a question that revolves around racing lawnmowers and my question is that what is the top speed that these lawnmowers have to go reach.
um i am going to be building one of these and was wondering if you could do a video on stripping to the frame
Where do u race at?
what size tire is that?
Can you use motercycle moter on a lawnmower can any 1 give me a answer
Looking to get into mower racing....how do you get started?
How much did you spend on the craftsmanb
I want to start building a lawn mower but how would you find one or how to start
Start with a popular model that you can easily get extra hoods and parts for. Also hope my videos can provide a basic introduction of what's involved
What is the height of the 7.50x8 premium tires and where do you get them. I have a machine shop and building a t-bucket from a 13 opposed flathead.
I got them from lawnmowertirestore.com. I'll get you the measurements tomorrow.
Dang the Buick is all Tore apart what is your build plan

What class is this for?
Not exactly sure yet lol. The wheel base will allow it to be a CP or BP
How about a yard machine
Anything can work, whatever is light and commonly found is a good candidate
Would you be interested in maybe selling one of your tractors
