- If you have orders to Fairchild AFB and your are single or married but unaccompanied with less than three years of service, more than likely you will be living in Fairchild's dormitories. This video gives some insight to the accommodations that are waiting for you.
A toilet that always flushed. Thanks man, that’s all I needed to know 🙏🏾💯💯😂
Braun makes me uncomfortable
He might be autistic
Why?
Fun fact: My dad and I did a lot of the finish work on the dorms back when I was in high school (2002 or so, I think). I was impressed with their layout!
Thank you ladies and gentlemen. Don't even need to watch it. Outstanding! I'll watch it anyways.
Love how Braun says that the toilet always flushes, and the shower always has hot water. Let's you know that both those aren't true. Nice.
Also, why is it that everyone one of these dorm tour videos has the maintenance dudes in the worst/smallest rooms? Does the Air Force have it out for them?
Braun you seem unnaturally 'happy'. Were you nervous at the time or just trying to sell it as a salesman haha ?
He looks naturally unhappy?
Quite an improvement from Fairchild in the 80s, and that's actually when a lot of the upgrades from the claptrap WWII buildings had started. My first dorm room was a in a newer remodeled dorm. It was two to a room with one sink in the room. The bathroom had a tub and a shower and was shared by the adjacent room or four people. You accepted all of the furniture and were not allowed to switch anything out, you could buy your own sheets, but that was it. My second room was Bldg 646 (long since torn down), this building was two to a room and had four bays two upstairs and two downstairs, one gang bathroom per bay each bay had about 20 rooms.
I was at beale in 1978. You had bathrooms down the hall and shared a tiny space.
Really great!
counting the days until I become a SERE specialist :D
Eric Doyka
cool.!
how did it go?
im leaving the 23rd going into sere any tips
TheKon where at and what level?
Wellllllll this just got added to my dream sheet. I PCS from Osan in February and this is on the listing of bases my AFSC is needed at. Number 1 on my list for sure based on these dorms
Some civies don't even have houses this nice LMAO!
i WAS THERE IN THE 1980S. WHAT WAS THE NAME OF THAT WALL UNIT WE HAD THAT HAD A FOLD DOWN DESK? I WANT ONE OF THOSE.
“Throw on a BLUE RAY and watch on a flatscreen TELEVISION”. I can’t tell what century he’s from tbh
Somebody give this man his own show!
He's really good 😂
Is it just me or did the second person talk continuously without inhaling?
When your JrRotc class makes you watch this video to answer questions, for a HW assignment due to corona.
Bruh I didn't do shit for AFJROTC. We went through non-military specific curriculum mostly about the traits of leadership and other shit like that. It was really easy.
I'm just going to hang out here in the whithernet. I'm pretty sure that's a new one. Wheiher or not you like it. Don't let yourself wither here. Roger that?
Damn! How do you get a pod room?
Every place I've seen, the trick is to not be a maintainer.
214ballking There’s 2 steps you need to follow. Ready?
1. Don’t be maintenance
2. Don’t be security forces
no offense but if braun could pass bmt, i’m pretty confident i will too
my college dorm was a couple hours away at a retired base... same dorms though hahahah
Do you chose what type of dorm you get stuck in? My 2 friends and I are shipping to Fairchild in 3 weeks and where wondering.
Pretty luxurious
Is it all covered by the airforce? I mean, I do not have to pay for rent right? What about if I just finished my bmt as enlisted, can I get a room such as these ones on base? Deam that would be pretty amazing!!!
Also what kinda outdoors type stuff can you do up there? both in the summer and the winter :P
Johnny Rebel nevermind, i was thinking this was the one in fairbanks
after tech school and being single do you share any appliances
Army barracks are the crappiest. Specially at Fort Polk.
Its a little weird to me that I lived here when this was made
How do I get a house on bAse
how did she go about switching her bed out for a queen size bed?
Problem is.... the more common area, pod mates share, the more mess, or opportunity for someone not to clean up after themselves... There is a weekly dorm inspection, one fails, you all fail, for messy kitchen etc. dirty bathtub/shower, toilet... yuck, no thanks, Im not leaning someone else mess. 1970's barracks, you had one room-dog, one in room sink and mirror, everything else was down the hall to a large restroom/sinks/showers. With a two man room and only a sink to clean, inspections are a breeze.
room inspections in the air force are extremely rare.... the air force tends to not treat it's members like children like the other services do...
the girl seemed cool.
Can you have a tv in your room
I want to join the Air Force I will want a pod room
what type of mos are stationed here
Any job that supports this base’s misión; aerial refueling of aircraft.
What is that flag above his bed?
It's the Alabama state flag
@2:44. I see the Alabama state flag. I am from Alabama. Roll Tide!
I think I have a small crush on senior airman Braun...
Senior airman Braun... more like senior airman Brawn
I’m seriously considering joining.
I live in southern Oregon, would I be stationed here?
it depends on your job, you have a higher chance if you become a KC 135 air tanker mechanic. but the Air Force sends you where they want you, you can put it on your assignment dream sheet though, then you have a even higher chance of being assigned at Fairchild.
Is there even an afb in oregon?
Martel Webster there is if you join the Oregon air national guard, other than that their isnt
my nigga is this college?
right lol
A hotel 😊
And as it goes after you eat breakfast you'll have stool. You don't need to sit on one it'll come soon enough.
Wow
To begin with we have this I'm out.
Lol he watchs gundam the anime...
Lolol
What did they do with the metal
bunks and lockers. how in the name of the Saints can they seriously
call this military. And these people
don't look like any troops I've
seen. and a TV in the day room
and semi private toilet. just hope
I don't become president. this is
Ridiculous.
Yeah because giving quality living conditions to our troops is just madness 🧐
