Hats off to those students who got engaged in Competitive Programming and got Jobs on their own by giving exams competitively A path that needs consistency
Iam a person who did cp, the truth is the competition. The competition in engineering is only cse. I have seen ton of engineering graduates doing software engineering jobs just for the sake of job. Nobody has passion or love. You see it's hard to figure out what you want to do in life. Because the system is such a mess.
I am from a National Institute of Technology, and I am absolutely disappointed with the curriculum. It's so outdated and useless. I have some friends from IITs and even they have the same feelings. Even in IITs, most of the syllabus is outdated. And the worst part is that it is very difficult to pass these outdated courses because the professors don't even teach properly, some of them just read the slides and give us assignments without giving us time to truly grasp the concepts. The act of studying these outdated courses causes us to lose our creativity and intelligence. We just turn into robots and lose our personalities in the process. I don't blame the engineers for being unemployable, I blame the college. They went into college with happiness and came out broken. It is not the case that engineers are unemployable from birth, the truth is that creative people join college and they are punished for their creativity because colleges only focus on getting marks. And these gifted students slowly start "decaying" because of the toxic environment in college and end up turning into broken men/women with no skills and no desire to achieve great heights. I am completely against JEE. Why does a computer science aspirant need to study physics, chemistry and mathematics to get into a computer science program? They should test their coding skills as well as their knowledge in computer science. Why can't we just write a mathematics and computer science exam to get into computer science? What is this rubbish.... And I am also completely against the curriculum in first year of engineering. Why should computer science engineers study Engineering Drawing with a pencil, compass and all those complicated and outdated methods when the whole world is using CAD? And why am I being taught workshop practices. I came here to become a computer science engineer not a mechanic. And why the f*** do I need to study chemistry again in first year, again doing that titration nonsense in the laboratories. It is not the engineer's fault for being unemployable. It is the fault of the colleges for producing unemployable engineers. We are paying money to get educated, not to get tortured.
Nice comment bro , really you said everything I used to think when I was in 11th, why I have to learn pCm for computer in my career , I have cracked my state entrance and am going to join a good institute in mumbai , but every college has mechanics , in 1st yr 🙂...for which literally many people have started classes for engineering students and that's the worse things u need classes for engineering...😂😢
It’s true chemistry and most of physics have no use cse course but we study them to train different functions of our brain not because they have any use in cse think of it like training your brain chemistry is highly efficient in training hippocampus in temporal lobe your certain parts in brain actually grows about the outdated syllabus I agree and college and faculty should really work in that area keep grinding brother
Doing Master at any tier 3 college in USA is anyday better than doing Mtech from any IIT. No one doing their btech from IIT will ever do their mtech from IIT. Only only tier 3 college students do that. Get your facts straight.
@NatD-mp4tr i tell you this, Just look at placement of btech and mtech, you see there is no much difference in this , So what's the point of doing the same thing for 2 year again, that's why most of iitian move to abroad because of better opportunity And generally student from tier 2&3 pass gate and take admission into iit to get better opportunity and It's also very affordable as compare to study abroad
I'm an engineering student (2nd sem C.S) in Bengaluru studying in a tier 2 college and i can totally confirm on most of the points you made in this video, but in Bengaluru there is a greater chance of getting placed in a company, but all we have to learn is through self study, because most of the syllabus is outdated be it a top tier college.

I’m an alumni from Nirma and I can confirm what Shivam said….they don’t keep their professors just like that…each and every professor was a PHD holder and most of them were with Nirma since it’s inception….and the curriculum they follow is mostly followed in IITs and IIMs

I'm from IIT Roorkee, and I can say we are still being taught engineering drawing, but we'll also be taught CAD, traditional engineering drawing is mostly done for concepts but those classes have 4 hour practicals. And I think from next year our curriculum is getting revised and they're adding data science and AI/ML in our course and also removing the unnecessary stuff.

I am a alumni of BITS Pilani, Pilani campus and can share my experience. I did my masters in US and made my big bucks. All of my achievements till date are due to the grooming which I received at BITS. There are a few points which I think BITS did right. Have smaller batches. The average batch size of a stream in BITS is around 60. A classroom strength is around 35-40. Students can choose which faculty they want to register under for a tutorial class or lecture for a course. I remember most of my profs at BITS. Since we were a small group, we developed good relations with our faculty. We went to their homes and they would also come to dinners hosted by our hostels, club etc. We were always on our toes with regards to academics. In BITS, there is a culture of surprise tests. Since the environment is highly competitive, we made sure that we would study on a regular basis in order to keep up with the course. In Pilani, there were minimal distractions,so most of our activities were aimed towards self development. Whether it be in a club or a social project, the student’s energy would get channelised into something constructive. The culture at Pilani was amazing. Not only were the students way mature, they were helpful to their juniors as well. The student bonding was amazing. There was no attendance and yet some faculty would fill up lecture halls. I remember in thermodynamics and Math 1, where I used to sit on stairs of the hall just to listen to the faculty. Some faculties would fill lecture halls even after 8pm with students sitting on stairs. We went to classes because we wanted to and not because we were forced to. We developed a sense of respect towards all disciplines. Some of my favourite courses which I took as an elective were outside my core domain. The startup culture is highly developed. Due to a very strong alumni network and the mature crowd, a lot of students venture into startups and come out with multi million dollar ideas.
I am someone who grew up in America. This sounds very similar to American college system for engineering. While watching this videos, I was expecting the same but mildly surprised that different countries have different education systems. Your comment is what I’m mostly familiar with. We went to classes because we wanted to. Most parents don’t pay for college in America, so we have to go to classes we took loans to pay for, right. When it becomes our responsibility financially, it also gives us freedom to realize what we like and what we want to do.
Hi there, thank you for sharing your experience.. I am in 12th grade right now thinking about going to germany after 12th for mechatronics? Do you think it's a good idea? Or are there any distinct disadvantages to doing so?
@Moni Hasnone "I am someone who grew up in America [...] what we like and what we want to do." ================ In India, an institution like BITS Pilani is an *exception,* not the rule. In India, in most of the cases the overall education system is a miserable joke that churns out college graduates like an assembly line. In India, most of the private colleges are run as for-profit business ventures, UNLIKE in the U.S., where most of the top-25 universities are actually private, not-for-profit institutions.
The problem with engineering jobs is that there is no limit on the amount of work hours. My uncle works for an MNC and has great salary but the workload is too hectic. He is always on call or working on something. He has the money but almost no time to spend it. Remember guys, jindagi sirf weekends pe jine ke liye nahi hai Edit: Guys stop competing on whose life is more miserable in the replies. We all have our ups and downs. Just because someone has money does not mean that they are problem free. Also, people have put in the effort to earn that money. If you can't be better, atleast don't be bitter.
especially here, its like a slave mentality and work culture is too bad, with the toxic work culture and deteriorating health, nothing else matters in life
I’m not an engineering student but wanted to bring to light the fact that in our section in college there were 150 students… on many occasions we had to stand and attend classes and this eventually lead to us skipping classes. When we brought this up to the authorities since we get attendance marks they said “tum log toh waise bhi ni aate college”
Indians have never tackled the birth rate in the name of culture or authoritarian leadership like Sanjay Gandhi was frowned upon worldwide. Poverty has dogged India since Independence but parents have never really grasped the nettle. Education good job and marriage to a NRI with a Western passport were the only focus. Indians are told that the birth rate has stabilised which is hogwash the base was far to high to start with which would have required a one child policy
I faced similar problem in my private medical college in MP. They don't teach us anything. The compulsory attendance drains our energy and time listening to professors reading the slides. Practical teaching is very less nowadays, good professors teach us rarely and we are left astray. The quantity of doctors have increased but quality is proportionately decreased.

You mention quality of Indian doctors is low. This is the reason why the West do not accept an Indian doctor without training again to work or sit exams in the West to get a job. Indians can also buy engineering degrees or any degrees on the black market. Very scary prospect if you are a patient for example
Stories like this need to be told by mainstream media. At least you're doing this. Thank you. Also medical colleges and graduates suffer from a lot of these same problems. Saying this from experience .

Great video as always. Two observations I have; 1. Living in the UK I see that students have to self study here too and 2) if we take out the ability to communicate in English as a criteria for quality, many more Engineers will make the cut especially those with the right aptitude and knowledge but having difficulty to convey ideas in English. In my previous job in Blr, we had an engineer working as service technician and drawing a lesser salary only because he could not speak good English. We see engineers from Japan, Italy, France speaking the regional language and working in tech without any difficulty.

I am currently pursuing my BTech degree from a Tier-1 college, and it's astonishingly true that whether you are enrolled in a private institution or a prestigious government college, the curriculum feels overwhelmingly outdated. It has become abundantly clear that I must heavily rely on self-study rather than the lackluster lectures provided by my college. The only silver lining one can find in being part of a top-tier college is the invaluable alumni network, comprised of accomplished individuals who can open doors and provide valuable guidance. Additionally, there are a handful of exceptional teachers who are simply too brilliant for their current positions and are always enthusiastic about helping students. However, the most compelling aspect of a top-tier college is the fiercely competitive environment it fosters. This environment forces you to push yourself beyond your limits and outwork your peers, igniting a fire within you to strive for greatness. The struggles and challenges faced in such an environment are truly transformative and become instrumental in shaping individuals into resilient and determined professionals.
Was in an all girls convent in India and only 6 or 7 girls were in the Maths stream. The ale maths teacher was constantly challenged by the girls in grade 11.
@Murali Krishna True. Especially when the unreserved have to fight tooth and nail for a very small chunk of the seats while watching the reserved category breeze in with a fraction of the marks. It breeds frustration and resentment. Moreover, dropping of standards for the reserved has resulted an overall deterioration of standards. Anyone who can is leaving the country for these reasons.
I think teachers' salaries must be increased at school and engineering levels so that eligible and talented people will be encouraged to take the teaching profession, which provides great teachers and inturn great young India.
In My College Most Professors don't take labs and skip some classes and spend their time in online coaching I am from state Government Engineering College After scoring 89% in entrance and boards 😑😑😑
As an undergrad in CS, I can totally vouch for the no internships part. Most of my class is doing internships in things such as HR and Social Media Marketing. And the thing is, the absenteeism of those who are actually doing internships is seen as bad, whereas they are the ones who are gaining the most.
The biggest problem of engineering colleges in India is it's syllabus. I already know that I have to learn on my own. I once analysed the syllabus of South Korea University of COMPUTER SCIENCE ENGINEERING and i found out that in korean universities (cse) students are taught computer subjects from the very 1st day, the 1st semester and the year of the college till the last day, the last sem and the last year But here in my college of cse i studies semiconductor physics, basic electrical engineering, maths 1 and 2, engineering drawing, workshop, English, chemistry and programming with C language in the 1st year of my college. Out of all the subjects only programming was the subject which was related to my field. I mean in one year of my engineering i learnt only one thing of my use (which i learnt on my own). That's not it yet, in 3rd sem i am going to study analog electronics, digital electronics, calculus, effective technical communication (in language) IT workshop and DSA. Out if it all only dsa and it workshop are important. In 4th sem i will be taught environment studies and discrete subjects along with other useful subjects related to computer. I mean EVS? I , a cse student will be studying evs. In 5th sem useless subjects i will be studying is foreign language and automata theory, humanities and constitution of India. I mean wow! In 6th sem the useless subject is electronic devices. For 7th sem it is human resource management, renewal energy system and...... and...... and biology! I mean i left biology in 10th class but i will be reading it in 7th sem of ny CS engineering! I mean have a look at the curriculum! First year of my engineering is a waste of time and in every sem i have atleast one extra subject to study which is of no use to me In addition we have to prepare assignments, attend lab and make practical files if these useless subjects......... And moreover I studied almost all the subjects of my 1st year by myself (i have recently given my 2bd sen exams). And my seniors say that we have to study on our own.
I literally had to take matters into my own hands, and took Android app development class to my fellow classmates. Even then we were facing issues like having really slow systems in labs that couldn't handle running the IDEs needed to develop the apps. After completing my MCA I realized that the current education system and it's syllabus are in worst state and students get ZERO value from it.
Just finished 12th class and looking for Btech. Nearly above average in entrance exams and determined to never go for repeat and study wherever i get to. You gave me a wholesome existential crises. Thanks 💀

Great Video . we have 2 key issues 1. parent pressure to get into engineering , medicine etc 2. Quality of education, tecahers and ciriculum of engineering colleges outside the top 10%
I am seeing this video almost 14 years after the first day of engineering college. I am disappointed that nothing has changed. Most engineering schools/colleges do not have qualified teachers. What you said about Professors not being able to code is so true!
One point which everyone seems to be missing is that only computer science engineering students get packages of crore rupees. Rest of the branches like, Electrical or Mechanical or Civil, students always struggle to get a minimum salary of 20k.
Lol, there are many CS Students working in Finance Sector, doing trading and there they get crores of package not even Top Tech MnCs give this much amount, the amount is only given by some tradings firms.
@@tanishk5571 Those trading firms do high frequency trading and the job is more closer to algorithms and compilers. Its kind of a software engineering job only.
I feel like I am one of the few who really liked engineering and wanted to become a great engineer but couldn't able to crack JEE and even if i did I didn't have minimum boards cutoff... chose the wrong college and believe me, schools and colleges have a bigger job than teaching you... it's to light up the spark inside you! But our education system just goes out of its way to kill any inspiration or creativity in exchange of marks and assignments.... Once you get out of college, if you really can afford to stay without a job, please try to take those books back and just read them once again in your pace. For me, family situations pushed me towards some entry level IT job since we can't afford to stay without job now... This is the systematic murder of curiosity of students by the very system which supposed to teach us the same!
I learned my own. My BE has nothing to do with my 4 years. Only degree which allowed me to get basic job. After that I learned and did master out of India. We people are electing 10th pass corrupted politicians again and again

Hello Sir, I am too an ECE student from NSIT Delhi. All the things told in the video are highly relatable, but the harsh truth is in engineering, even if till the top 50 colleges, the job oppurtunities are good(not excellent) but in other courses like BA,BSc,BCom,BBA the job situation worsens if you are not from the top 10 institutions for the same. Even an MBA from tier-2 has very less job oppurtunities as compared to that of engineering.
As a BCA student I strongly agree! It's very difficult for us to reach the industry level when there is literally no one to guide instead everyone to misguide
mba from tier 2 also has same opportunities as engineers from top 50 univs. People usually do BA, Bcom etc for govt job or further studies. Its long been established that these courses don't give placements from college
As an Indian, who has a high 6 figure job as well, who's been living in the States for around 8 years now, I came here as a student. And I have to accept that I was privileged to have come to the States because my parents helped me out financially to give me a start. My life would have been completely different if I had chosen to live in India.
Wow this brings back memories. Back in those days 2010-14, it was very rare to find competitive programming students from 3 tier colleges. I went to one of those 3 tier colleges in West Bengal but got interested in competitive coding. At some point me and Anudeep became friends through codechef and then Facebook etc! Now I am earning 200k USD living in the US, driving BMW and I own a house here! Life changed pretty big with hard work that was self motivated completely in college. From ranking more than 1 lakh in AIEEE and 20000 in WBJEE, to this life, love it! Don’t waste even a second of your college life, specially if you are not in a good college. Stay away from all “fun”. Make coding fun! Life will be great! Cheers!
A lot of great engineers die in India because of Our Education System starting from even 4-5th class as when children ask questions they mostly get humiliated and they think that not understanding something, having a doubt, not having decent basics and asking questions is a sin.

I did go through a fair amount of struggle before where I am now. After completing the filmmaking course, i worked as an assistant director for 6 years, the first 2 years were without any salary working for 18-20 hours. As an assistant director you have to always be on a run, don't get to sit, have to skip lunch, and sometimes be ready to be abused by the directors. Interest in world cinema and also most importantly you need a sheer will and passion to keep following your goal. Saying all this because at least you are aware what you are going to face.
I'm chemical engineer and last year I quit my job to preparation for PSU, and i also had the second thought of MBA but after watching this and my interest, i drope that Idea, because my natural mentality is to write book poem stories, spontaneous poem making which is not fit in MBA course, Thanks Mr. Mohak Mangal, one fine day whenever I publish my book I will definitely mention this.

Those candidates who desperately need job but doesn't have skills, you people don't hire them and you talk about people quitting companies. You need to understand this, people who are already skilled or know little bit. They already have their dream companies where they want to go and they use companies like yours to gain experience and go to those companies. But whereas people who are desperate and need job, but doesn't have skills. You people don't hire them by telling them that first get skills then apply. This is the reason why you don't get loyal employees. I hire people who are desperate and need job. I don't care if they have skills or not. Because skills can be learnt. These people are working with me more than decades and they are all very good at what they do. You need to understand their situation. They didn't get best education, they born in mediocre environment. But if they approach you for the work that means they want to make living and you job as a leader is to encourage them and make them grow themselves. This is the duty of us as a leader. But most of the entrepreneurs these day are starting companies for the sake of getting rich. They are not really a good leaders. All they want is funding and want to hire experienced skilled candidates to build their product and want to make company big and sell. I would suggest you to not think people are burden or liability. If they are approaching you then they want to grow that's why they came to you and your job as a leader is to build your team and that's how you will make a successful company. I don't understand when people say that we have engineers but they are not employable. Those people who are making such statements haven't gone to grassroot to know the cause. And same people struggles to hold the talent in their own company. They leave.

I am currently studying in 6th semester of a polytechnic college under AICTE. I am a student of Computer Science and Technology. We have a college professor who had taught almost nothing since 3rd Semester. Usually he used to take 1 or 2 class in which he teaches us the most basic concepts of the subject and then told us to study the remaining chapters ourselves and he gave a huge PDF as a study material which contains a lot of nonsense stuffs. He usually gave marks freely to all students in assignments, internal exams (those exams were held based on his 1 to 2% lectures) and we have to face serious problems in semester exams because he taught absolutely nothing and we had a hard time to pass the exams. In our 3rd sem, he was the subject teacher of Python, and he taught upto for loops in college while the curriculum contains modules, packages, Django, RegEx and so on. And so, we had to study by ourselves. He was also the subject teacher of many important subjects like IoT, Digital Image Processing, Computer Networks and Machine Learning in the later semesters. But he has taken only 1 or 2 lectures or taught absolutely nothing. In our current semester, he said that he cannot take class of Machine Learning and so he will give a PDF as a study material. This is the worst scenario in our department. Other teachers still teach some stuffs which are important and 1 or 2 teachers are absolutely good at teaching. Lastly, we have got almost nothing in placements due to low quality campusing. This is the current situation of our college.
It's a pity that the topic of engineering in India caters towards Computer science and Information technology only. No one is talking about the other branches. The downfall in core branches is immense. The reason behind it is no growth in manufacturing sector, we are only growing as a service sector nation. And it's not a funny thing about civil, mechanical, electrical engineers but a big reason to worry.
So true.... the way people are going crazy behind Computer Science will only put core industries in danger. I'm currently doing chemical engineering in Bits Pilani Goa and most of my colleagues want IT or Finance roles. If this continues to happen then the Indian manufacturing sector will collapse one day and it looks inevitable.
My cousin who's a software engineer got a package of 25 lakhs per annum while he's only 24 right now. But, he's sacrificed his entire social life, his mental health, his physical health for more than 7 years to come here. I don't know if it's worth it because even now he's always packed and does not have freedom.
Really? I am first year undergraduate at IIT Madras and making 50k at the age of 19 by freelancing and internships etc. I am living my life with zero tension...
Nice video, Mohak ! Two comments though: 1. Even though the syllabus many times is outdated, it builds the foundation for learning the new shiny things out there. Students anyway shouldn't rely on the college to teach theme everything latest and greatest. Engineering always comes down to self study. E.g. You gave an example of Engineering Drawing. I learnt the Engineering Drawing as part of the first year curriculum. If I were to start with a software directly, I would not think about why and how as the actual pencil and paper made me think. So IMO, some basics should always be part of the curriculum. (Although, as a software professional I am not gonna use either.) But as I engineer, I need to know basics of all engineering disciplines. 2. From my first hand experience of studying Batchelor's in India and Master's in the US, I don't think the number of students per teacher matter that much as long as you have a quality teacher. We often had classes with 200+ students in a single classroom(during my Master's in the US) and still learnt quite a lot from the professor. So focus should be on improving the quality of teaching rather than heuristics like number of students per teacher.
We realised this while doing engineering 18 yrs back....no proper labs, lecturers, no books available in the market...we searched subjects from various engineering depts. Combined them to our syllabus and self studied....no proper guidance after passing out. Self struggle got some success today...we joked that time at least our Engg. profession will get some good matrimonial proposals, if not good jobs😂

The worst thing about AICTE is that in their website you can get free certification of various types in IT, management, etc but only CEC and IIMB's videos were upto date while other courses / certification of C+, C, etc languages were a decade old 😢. There are only very few good courses😓... They should really work on its betterment. Its a great initiative with failed implementation.

I just finished my Engineering Journey in IT 15 days ago. And in 8th SEM, we had an elective course to choose from; I chose Blockchain Technology, which was funny because there were no teachers for that subject. I already had a basic understanding of BT. However, the chosen teacher was simply learning alongside us. I understand the problem here; all of the best programmers or developers want to be paid more. So you'll find them in a corporate organisation, but because our school system doesn't respect and pay teachers, persons with average knowledge and experience are appointed to teach, and they simply know the basics. During my final year of engineering school, approximately ten teachers left due to less pay and more work.I used to blame and curse teachers at first, but later, when they were closed to us, they told us how helpless they were and how they had to obey the old and corrupt system.
The points you mentioned are totally valid for many of the engineering colleges out there.. I am working as assistant professor at one of the engineering colleges in TN. And I must say,my college is really doing good when compared to the rest. 1. Students are allowed to go for internship from 1st semester itself. 2. 75% of attendance is mandatory, but students are always allowed to take on duty and to do their research work. 3. We have incubation centre at college which supports the startup ideas - not only for students but even for faculty members. 4. There are so many competitions which, encourages the students to come up with their research work and even the college supports in getting a grant from government for the research works by students and faculty members. 5. Placement starts from 6th semester itself, and if in case any student can't get placed during these four years, the placement support is extended for one more year after they leave college. There are plenty of these kind of initiatives my college is taking for the better future of engineering students.

I am currently studying in class 12 and a JEE aspirant ( one of the million students who are on the same path)... I would say that the craze to become an engineer among parents and students ( some of them don't even know sin²x+cos²x=1) is immense just because they got diverted by the package very few talented students get after graduating...they are not studying because they have interest in them but just to dream about the package...truly disheartening.... it's sad that there is wide scope beyond engineering but they don't see..😔😔😔..the parents are spending lakhs in coaching .. imagine had they spent in the path where the students real talent goes..how it would have benefited for the student?
The basic problem is people are not doing engineering because of their passion but because they believe they have to be engineers for a good life. People who are passionate learn on their own despite bad education system.

What IIT faculty not teaching properly? So weirdd

Thanks for motivation bud

In India, an institution like BITS Pilani is an *exception,* not the rule.

Edit: Guys stop competing on whose life is more miserable in the replies. We all have our ups and downs. Just because someone has money does not mean that they are problem free. Also, people have put in the effort to earn that money. If you can't be better, atleast don't be bitter.

Whats the name of your college?
Most of my graduated friends are unemployed
Was in an all girls convent in India and only 6 or 7 girls were in the Maths stream. The ale maths teacher was constantly challenged by the girls in grade 11.
Such competition can be destructive, not constructive.
Syllabus change compulsory
In My College
Most Professors don't take labs and skip some classes and spend their time in online coaching

As an undergrad in CS, I can totally vouch for the no internships part. Most of my class is doing internships in things such as HR and Social Media Marketing. And the thing is, the absenteeism of those who are actually doing internships is seen as bad, whereas they are the ones who are gaining the most.
Internships mostly leads to jobs. In 2 months you can learn, perform and build contacts.
The biggest problem of engineering colleges in India is it's syllabus. I already know that I have to learn on my own.
I once analysed the syllabus of South Korea University of COMPUTER SCIENCE ENGINEERING and i found out that in korean universities (cse) students are taught computer subjects from the very 1st day, the 1st semester and the year of the college till the last day, the last sem and the last year
But here in my college of cse i studies semiconductor physics, basic electrical engineering, maths 1 and 2, engineering drawing, workshop, English, chemistry and programming with C language in the 1st year of my college.
First year of my engineering is a waste of time and in every sem i have atleast one extra subject to study which is of no use to me
In addition we have to prepare assignments, attend lab and make practical files if these useless subjects......... And moreover I studied almost all the subjects of my 1st year by myself (i have recently given my 2bd sen exams). And my seniors say that we have to study on our own.
You cannot convert metal into car so do not expect job after engineering.

Yes because it sector and ai sector will boom in future
True. They even get less than that

As a startup owner myself, I receive hundreds of applications (for internships mostly by college student) every month, out of them only 10-20 are barely skilled that we can work with to put in the effort required to up-skill them, even during that after a couple of weeks sometimes these applicants either quit abruptly making it hard for startups to even give college students a chance in the first place.
They leave.

All the points raised in this video are spot on! It has become critically important to spread awareness of today's engineering education system in India and why people shouldn't blindly fall for them.
Nice video, Mohak ! Two comments though:

@@jayshreekadam1203 Na bro 11th me sabko lagta hai unke teachers worst hai,u will feel the same if you join anywhere else. The only thing that will help you is your self study.Stay where you are and try to do as much as you can,Use UA-cam to study if you want, some of the one shot videos after you study a particular chapter by yourself will really help.Remember one thing if you give your full effort in 11th,you will be a happy person when your are very close to your exam.
@@jayshreekadam1203 I can understand , what are you feeling . When we jump 10 to 11 it's not easy to carry on but time would will make us comfortable...and for physics and maths first you have to clear your basics not from NCERTS , just watch UA-cam lectures that would help you a lot.

This is the ground reality hats off to you ..
Beware students who are opting out for colleges after 12th don't go blindly by simply looking at fake reviews of the so called colleges/universities ..
I was a lecturer in a polytechnic which is in Maharashtra of a politician who is MLA. It had no building nor any practical setup but still by giving money to the AICTE committee it survived and is still there.
Maharashtra is the most corrupt region in the world. Areas like Latur there are worse than nigeria in poverty.
Datta meghe ka institute hai kya 😂😂😂
This is why I left a private college and took a drop to get into an IIT. Only an IIT can give me the proper education and opportunities that I want.
Not Everyone can afford. To take a drop
Sorry to burst your bubble, but don't have any high expectations from IIT.
so, ab kya hua?
The worst thing about AICTE is that in their website you can get free certification of various types in IT, management, etc but only CEC and IIMB's videos were upto date while other courses / certification of C+, C, etc languages were a decade old 😢. There are only very few good courses😓... They should really work on its betterment. Its a great initiative with failed implementation.
The way he politely delivers his facts is absolutely mesmerising 🧡
Engineering is not only one field..
In every field this system works..
But engineering is prominent..
Reality is
The students of low tier collegs (99%) continue to get distracted by things which already landed them in such college and don't improve
And the reason why IIT/nit etc good college student get good jobs because they remain focused after coming to college also
Please don't put iit and nit together nits are far behind iits
Nits and some pvt college are similar

Such an accurate video showing the state of engineering colleges in our country. This video is a much needed slap on the face of education system in India . Unfortunately I don’t think the government will learn anything. Thanks for making this factual video 👍
I want these engineering colleges to Increase in numbers but they also should upgrade their curriculum and improve quality in teaching.
BETTER DO DIPLOMA OR FIND BLUE COLLAR JOBS
@@Horizon429 no the problem is seats of every single college should be reduced and the no of total collages should be increased so the teacher vs student ratio can be improved
This can only happen, if institutes are research oriented.
That’s why students are going for foreign education
The colleges should first be nationalised . Education should not be corporatised. 😊
My college was just like you explained CAD was just a small topic in 1st sem. I was an IT student but never learned coding once in my college. There were only 3 people in my class jo program likh skte the. Class from 7:30 to 2:30 it was exhausting.. Depression me alag chle gye the sb log end me..
Abhi aap IT me ho

I'm a diploma Engineer My plan was to pursue BTech but the condition of an engineer is too bad nowadays
..after completing Diploma in electrical engineering I got 17k salary Job in Bangalore ... Iss accha to khud ka business hai
Bhai diploma walo ki demand hai aajkal engineers se jyada
@@raghavsridhar Bhai diploma bhi engineering hai 😶
After sometime you would realize btech engineers get paid much above with better chances for doing same work
Brother, I'm also Diploma Student, Recently completed 2nd year in CSE, Choosing BTech is also a Better Descion where diploma-Btech students get well paid then normal intermediate-btech students. This is said by my Brother who is Software Engineer

Much needed right now 💓 for students like me who are not getting admission into tier 1,2 colleges for engineering.
Mohak bro , the line you said about the floopy disks and engineering drawing are absolutely right 😅 i always get frustrated why we have this engineering graphics subject, what's importance it's in the computer field 🙃🙃
Name of the college and fees for 4 years?

outdated syllabus is not just a problem of private institute. Even in IITs people learn everything on their own. They just have a good environment/culture of dedicated students
Environment matter the most. You can learn everything for free.

Bhai Kejriwal is the need of the hour. These people hardly understand the intricacies of actions. They simply want to frenziedly spend tax money on buying mp MLAs and everything else unnecessary. Nobody is like Kejriwal.
Not just the private colleges, Mohak Bhaiyya, I go to UVCE, one of the oldest Engineering colleges in K'taka which was established by Sir. M. Vishvesvaraya himself and now it's under the government of Karnataka. And our situation is just as same. Our curriculum is ridiculously outdated and freakishly hard, our teachers do not know what they're teaching, they don't respond well to our doubts and are barely present to even take classes. SYllabus bhi pure nahi kar pathe yeh log, saara engineering UA-cam se hi seekh raha hu. And given my stream is Electronics and Communication, I don't even get enough time to teach myself something that's worth it, something interesting and something that's upto industrial standards.
I am a 3rd engineering student i agree with all of the points you mentioned in this video.
We have to learn skills by ourselves only. College will provide you a engineering degree
Aapne toh Indian education system ki dukhti ragg pe hath rakh diya. Great video! Bravo! 👏
For 90% engineers this is absolutely true
Mohak bhaiya, please make a similar video on medical students (MBBS) and medical Colleges, similarly proper research, this is an amazing well researched video 🔥,
Keep it up❤
I want to thank Mohak for creating such valuable content and openly discussing important issues that are often ignored. Your video is really relatable, and I completely agree with everything you've said. Thank you for bringing attention to this topic.
Great to see Anudeep. Was a big inspiration during my undergrad. Made us believe to be able to achieve things while studying from 3rd Tier college.
Thank you @SochbyMohakMangal. This was an eye opening presentation that you did here.
Could you also make a video on the declining levels of Civil Engineering standards in India?
What a video man.... I always think about the syllabus and education system and this completely relatable
