"See when I first met Andre he was 6'1. The fans just weren't impressed with him at all. But after my Dad and I worked with him, we got him to 7'4 and finally able to draw some money." -Greg Gagne
Bobby Heenan was once asked if Verne Gagne pushed his son too hard in professional wrestling. The Brain replied, “Oh no, he definitely didn’t. He should have pushed him much harder. Right off a cliff.”
Greg is making this stuff up. He got Hogan, came up with the NWO, and Hogan was going to be the champ of a promotion that went out of business a few years earlier? Come on Greg.
So he was so out of touch he pitched NWA vs AWA in 1992/93 then tried to hold the company up for bonuses by acting like he was the only one who could get in touch with Hogan? Sounds like a genius 😂😂
Greg Gagne has been consistent with same story on Eric Bishoff for many years. I really doubt he is lying. A liar can and will consistently change and vary their story. He probably had advantages in the business being Verne Gagne son. However, his story on Eric Bishoff has remained consistent.
Why in 1993-1994 would anyone care if Hogan is the AWA champion? That's like 10 years past relevancy. Hogan was already the former WWF champion again. That mattered more vs Flair. This is the kind of nonsense that shows why Greg Gagne is full of shit. I'm not saying none of this is true but a lot of this is fluff and BS he's coming up with. It doesn't even make logical sense in the time period.
Of course the 'third strike' would have been the Aleksandr Karelin plan that he supposedly proposed to Hogan. Hogan then tells Bischoff and that was it. Then GG talks about how he wanted to throw EB out the 14th floor after being dismissed. Well, EB is a skilled martial artist. He could have taken care of himself. This is the third time we have heard this story. He is sticking to it. Whether this is true or not, the same thing applies to Mike Grahams story as well. Many people convinced EB to bring in Hogan. It was a no brainer. The timing was impeccable. Hogan wanted to move on at the time. As for the WCW/NWO angle, EB had some inspiration from other sources and angles in the past. Again, timing was of the essence. Some of the biggest stars in WWF/WWE wanted to move onto greener pastures, and the opportunity to create the NWO came to fruition...plus with the help of the Moday Night Wars, of course. Wow, seems like it all happened yesterday. Where did the time go?
His story has stayed the same even on back in the territories with Jim Cornette. I believe him🤷♂️ People probably still have hate for how they were treated in AWA and they are more vocal than Greg so their story will stand out more. It's like the old life scenario when the louder hurt person talks about the calm quiet person. 2pac- Biggie Flair- Dusty 50 cent Ja Rule. The louder person is going to be more profound because their talking more than the other party and in most cases you will believe the person whose more verbal because we as humans are trained to take sides, and to believe Bischofs side is ridiculous. He wouldn't have known to negotiate a contract like that, he knew nothing about wrestling, the Ganges had a 40+ year run Eric 3 to 4 years so I'll go with legitimacy over flash in the pants. He screwed Flair, the music rights, Bret, told the results of Raw, Alundra Blazes, ijs 🤷♂️
But to be honest, it was much more exciting and credible to have a rogue faction of WWF guys assaulting WCW than having two extinct organisations (AWA & NWA) trying to invade. WWF was their real competitor after all.
Greg Gagne is like the Forest Gump of wrestling. HAHAHA as if his AWA vs NWA pitch was anything like NWO vs WCW...good grief Him and Hogan should have a show down to determine who has been "apparently" involved in every major angle in wrestling history
Yeah but signing a contract that he crafted with his lawyer (not cheap) but he didn't read it? He didn't even skim the incentives that he worked in? Not very believable...but he probably believes it is true enough in essense - like Bischoff got the money and recognition for his work, etc.

Classic😅
Greg: I don't read contracts. I should be in charge.
Greg is talking about Jim Herd.
Greg is making this stuff up. He got Hogan, came up with the NWO, and Hogan was going to be the champ of a promotion that went out of business a few years earlier? Come on Greg.
Greg taught Nolan Ryan how to throw a fastball. He was a nobody before he met Greg.
Bill Watts didn't say that. He has been adamant that he resigned and wasn't fired.
Greg still has an house phone. Old school as hell😂.
They way he initially talks about his contract, sounded like it was already signed.
Greg Gagne created an everything, wrestling on national tv, hulkamania, Nitro…………
@@fjccommish don’t play videa or video games skippy. Gagne finally got a white knight congrats
Greg's phone number is on the answering machine message.
How many phone calls will this man receive at 3 am in the future?
@@nafost Tremendous 😆 🤣 😂
Someone call him and ask him how he came up with the nWo
@@JGD185 🤣
I called it and it keeps ringing non stop lol
That’s weird. Why would hulk hogan agree to wcw and give a percentage of his merch money to Greg? That makes no sense.
So he was so out of touch he pitched NWA vs AWA in 1992/93 then tried to hold the company up for bonuses by acting like he was the only one who could get in touch with Hogan?
Sounds like a genius 😂😂
Also no urgency in getting him. Others managed to get Hogan in the weekend.

He was also raised in a business of liars.

Story has stayed the same cause hes delusional Seriously Awa vs Nwa 😂 Hogan was not interested or speaking to Greg
When you write posts like this it demonstrates you have porridge for brains.
You want to talk about Erics reputation? The Gangne's have reputations for being slimey liars for 50 years. Gregs stories are completely ridiculous.
Every time Greg tells these stories they change. Lol. Give it up old bitter dude.
Dutch said the 2 worst second generation wrestlers were George Gullis & Greg Gagne.

I believe Greg is displaying an encyclopedia at his home or office. Pretty outdated.
Baby gagne
Let’s be honest here … Greg gets a lot a stick from people watching these videos … but his story on Eric B has never changed
And most people's story on Gagne hasn't changed. A delusional, liar, Dude is literally a used car salesman.
