Love it man! I used to own an 09 FA5 and used to dream about boosting it, but I couldn't afford it.
Fast forward 10 years. I made up for lost time bought a Type R then upgraded everything. Currently at 479whp
To fix the wheel spin I high recommend some Toyo R888R. They'll definitely hook.

If you went turbo you could've went with a Cortex EBC and handled all traction issues. Thats how the fastest 8th gen Si went low 9s and it works great. Also, NT555R2s work well imo.
Turbo vs. supercharger for a 2014 civic Si, what’s your opinion? I’m leaning towards the supercharger but I’m definitely up to debate it.
@@ZestyGamerHD the 9th gen's exhaust manifold is what affects those cars from what I have heard. If you could go turbo you should, especially if you are trying to make over 500 or so. Superchargers are better for the 350-500 range but restrictive on the top end.
A well tuned turbo civic with proper traction control through a Cortex EBC is pretty nasty. I sat in the fastest 8th Gen Si at the time and it did not spin and gradually went into the power band very well. Tuning through Hondata and then the Cortex is the hard part.

Oem rsx steering wheel is literally peak I always tell my friends "why not just keep stock fuck a quick release" but then also forget that the rsx has one of the best oem steering wheels ever made
those downshifts. omg no other channel has this. solid 5 minutes of replay ASMR for the first few seconds. question. are you gassing it a little between downshifts? doenst look like the car is getting too upset between shifts. such smoothness

I have a 2016 Veloster Turbo, just over 200HP and it has a hard time hooking up on 225 wheels. I do have Ultra High Performance tires, so that helps a lot.. but in 1st still breaks loos.. Cant imagine 400

Even if he didn’t which he probably did , you definitely should if you wanna spin the engine to 9k
He kept stock vtc and stock oil pump.
And what yosh means by stock is that the oil pump and camshaft gear from the k24 were used in this build
I have same set up k24 and 110mm pulley but I only did 311hp 7psi rev to 8300krpm something ain't right smh

I think in one of his videos he got his kit used, but you’re right. A brand new kit will run you in that 3k-5k range.

@@fg-bw8bv took out the thermostat? Then it would never reach operating temperature or it'd overheat. He likely put in a lower temp tstat
I have a 8th gen civic si and was wondering what I should do as my first mods?
Cold air intake, exhaust and tune. Then I would say clutch and flywheel. Solid mounts. Shifter bushings and or short throw shifter.. I had mostly all that done on mine.

You can have 1,000hp but if you can’t put the power down it’s useless. Throw some damn slicks on and call it a day.
Hmmmm. Car seems to struggle when shifting. Not sure if you’re short shifting that K24 or that’s your normal shift point, but it’s dipping to about ~4800 rpm’s and it’s clearly losing momentum.
