SNES fan all the way here and I love the loop there, but this kicks ass. Major props to this one for the jazz they added. They were killing it in the studio.
Honestly, even as a Mega Drive fan, this isn't good at all. It's all because of the godawful GEMS driver though. A proper Mega Drive conversion would sound close to the arcade game, as they used similar chips.
@@898doffo Well you'll never find it, since the original NBA Jam never came out for that console though. And for the record, the music in NBA Jam: Tournament Edition for that system is the exact same as the Genesis version too.

Just a dance track for those who wanna dance. I think every nightclub should adopt this. I think every dance party should play this!
The Outerhaven Productions Sega Genesis model 1 has a Yamaha chip and snes has a Sony one. For how long Genesis was out before snes, Genesis has a good sound chip
I would always love when the 4th quarter came and you always had a chance to break the backboard on a dunk! And when you defeated all 27 (at the time) NBA teams and saw the "special ending" and then you go into "juice mode" which would speed the game up faster and lead to more higher scoring! Good times and even better days!
Has any NBA team used this as background music while their PA announcer announces the night’s starting lineup? If not, this would be perfect for a 90’s themed night. That would be amazing.
Dapper Krogan honestly, I liked the gmod series, you get to see a lot of how them as friends hang out and the commentary is great, it's not meant to be watched for gameplay
This is a cool song. I am going to practice that melody on my keyboard. Out of the contrary, this song reminds me of the anime Sailor Moon. I imagine Sailor Venus playing this song on her keyboard.
My Cousin CJ used to have that before I had the Genesis console with Eternal Champions in 1995 Christmas Day and borrowed his games in the Mid 90's before the Genesis Emulator in the 2000's something never changed.
Hell yeah I still have this game in my collection with a working sega, Now that I listen to this song, being older. That guy is getting down on that electric keyboard... *Head bobs*
@@notyoursavior78 They were the best ports of this game. That and the N64, and PS1 also got good conversions of NBA Hangtime for that matter as well. Same with NBA Showtime: NBA on NBC for the Dreamcast too.

LOL. no, it's "Buzzard" - the announcer says it at a specific point in the game: if you hit a player enough times he would collapse and die and then a buzzard would appear and start feeding on his corpse, at which point it would fly from time to time and block your shots by getting hit by the ball. If that happened the announcer would yell of the top of his lungs in disgust "AT THE BUZZARD???!!!!!!!". I guess you never heard it since it's hard to achieve, possibly only second to getting enough credit to buy in the in-game store a propane grill which you can bring to the court and make BBQ during the game without needing to rely on Alonzo Mourning's kindlewood fire anymore, causing the announcer to yell the most iconic soundbit from the game, "His own fire!!!!".
Right on! DA BULLS! Not only that's my favorite team in the game, that's also my all time favorite basketball team in the NBA. I play this game a lot on my super nintendo!

"deep" as in no bass at all. Genesis cover sounds flater than the earth we live on.

You may want to look up OPL3 sound tracks. Somewhat similar chip.
