No he's not. I would argue that Cloud is more flawed and compelling than any bland flawless, Isekai protagonists like Kirito, etc. Cloud had been through so much grief in the OG7 and even Advent Children for good reasons, rather than for the sake of being edgy.
Really hope we'll one day get another Dissidia thats closer to the original, not the crap that was on PS4 and arcade. But with a story. And even have it include nore characters, like Clive from FF16 and Ardyn from 15
Final Fantasy Record Keeper had some of the deepest cuts for cloud. They basically turned him into a wind based elemental spellsword...*when using FFVII stuff* Whenever he used anything he was given from other games, like Tactics, Kingdom Hearts, and Advent Children, he was entirely different. His FF Tactics Sword (The Material Blade) gave him Cherry Blossom, which was a multi-element attack His Kingdom Hearts gear gave him a lot Dark element stuff, and had a focus on buffing his attack and lowering his defense And his Advent Children Gear tended to be Wind and Dark combined, with a lot of self buffing thrown in. It's also... Really weird to put Cloud in his Kingdom Hearts 1 outfit, then have him perform Cherry Blossom XD
I love the way he looks in KH1, and I don't just mean his legendary fit. (which is amazing) It feels like a very direct evolution of his original look, with the tall hair and bigger eyes. I imagine if we got a FF7 Remake on PS2, he would have looked like this.
