I love how the vases came out. Not too sure about the candle sticks, but you got them the way you loved them in the end and that's what counts. TY for another excellent Vid.
Please MIX GLUE INTO THE COMPOUND IF YOU DO NOT THE COMPOUND WILL DRY UP AND NOT HOLD IT WILL FALL OFF THEIRS NOTHING TO HOLD IT ON TO THE VACE IVE DONE IT IT WORKS AND LAST MUCH LONGER WITH THE GLUE ADDED I USE ELMER'S WHITE GLUS
lol! Don't you know editing can make anything look so simple and beautiful. That's why I appreciate your honesty. You share the whole process with us so we know that sometimes you just have to keep trusting the process and other times, sand it and start over. Thank you!!!
The little plastic bags from grocery store work great if you want an irregular dabbed on paint finish. Put your hand inside the bag with paint on outside of bag and keep twisting the bag around as you go. The finished look is really amazing.
I like em all :) Thank You for showing us all how everything you see in a 30 second video can take time to create exactly what you were looking for!! This was so informative and fun.
😮WOW. I wonder how many times in your life that you’ve been told that your hair is absolutely perfect.. chef’s kiss!! ❤lol I LOVE this tutorial. I’m trying to replicate those vases now. Stunning!!
Thank you for taking risks and showing us, teaching us new things that are truly FANTASTIC!! I love pottery so needless to say I can't wait to try this. Thank you, Yvonne for teaching me showing me and it's okay taking risks, having fun and believe in your own masterpiece. I absolutely love your channel...🥰🥰🥰 I learn something new each and every time...👍🥰😍💕🤯
Love, love how your vases turned out! I did make a special trip to Home Depot to buy some materials after watching many, many tutorials about recreating the textured pottery look. I'm hoping Dry Dex Spackle will work the same as their Joint Compound b/c that''s what I bought. As far as the candlesticks, it's all about "crafting" and experimenting, so it's all about a learning experience. Working with products that are water based means many things can simply be washed off if we don't like how they turned out--been there, done that! The trick is to remember to have fun and enjoy yourself. If we learn something new in the process, that's a bonus. Thank you for taking the time to paint, film, edit and post the process. I appreciate the time you always put into your tutorials. BTW, I enjoyed watching your Tik Tok vids, as well, I'm now a follower!
Love the vases. The classic shapes play well with the finish. They look ancient...found in a Greek ruin. But the classic shapes are timeless. As always your vision is wonderful.
I absolutely love your vessels. The candlesticks were nice, but I didn’t like the black base coat. My preference would have been maybe a dark grey as the foundation paint. Thank you for this video…I shall paint some of my outdated candlesticks!🤗
Wow! I love how here turned out. I did a cross a while back in a similar technique with steel, peacock and white wax. I did the base peacock and them dialed back the brightness with the steel and white wax. I love the combination. But I’m so going to try your texturing on pottery. I love it
Love how the vases turned out. The candle holders....not such. I like them with just the black. Like watching you try new techniques. Thanks for sharing.
I have a cool story for everyone.....while we were remodeling our kitchen which I wanted in a European Spanish farmhouse style, I desired something with texture.....it was joint compound....I began applying this to the walls as well as the ceiling. It was almost done by the time DH got home from work. It has been many years and still looks fantastic with texture and dimension. A relatively easy and effective application. Subbed and thankyou for inspiring me yet again to do something wonderful!!
I love all of them! I wasn't sure about the candle stick and black but I have to say I love them, they look like completely different candle sticks. They would go with about anything. And the vases are stunning. I dont blame you for keeping them all. Great job. God bless
Wow! That creative mind of yours seem to be in overdrive, now that you can devote more time to your craft! If you decide to change up the candlesticks, please show us the result! Thanks again for sharing your process.
Love these pieces! Maybe add a bronze or gold to the candlesticks? Are you using a respirator when spraying? You definitely should! Anything aerosolized is going to land in your lungs and bloodstream. Over time, it can do some real irreversible damage. Anyhoo… I really enjoy your tutorials! Edit to add: Maybe try taking one of the vases and adding a dipped look by painting the bottom few inches up the side in a contrasting neutral like copper?
I love the faces you gave them such a beautiful texture and colour they look amazing candlesticks are not my things however yours turned out beautiful thank you so much for sharing have a great day God bless you and Chris
I just finished doing a ceramic vase today. I love the result! So much fun! It cost me $2.24 and was a clearance item from Hobby Lobby. I need to head to the thrift stores soon!😊 Loved your projects!
I sure wish I could go to Michigan just to shop your booths. AWESOME as always. I'm gonna go through my home and get my vases out and redo them. See you just inspired me. LOL
I am not really a vase sort of gal normally, but I do like what you did with the vases, perfect for dry grasses etc. And the candle sticks! What can I say? They are just jaw dropping, I love them. If I get in my little boat and come across the big pond to your house would you mind me pinching them? Haha, They are amazing, just gorgeous.
I've made these to flip. the finish isn't waterproof, so I put that fact on my tags. It won't hurt if there's water inside the vase when using real flowers, but if water drips onto the outside, it can damage the finish. Sealant helps minimize this, but I like to be sure the customer knows not to soak it with water OR to use them outdoors.
I'm so happy for you that you're enjoying your retirement from hairdressing. I can see you're having a blast creating now that you have time. Love the vases. Not sure on the candle sticks. 😊
I love this, what a great idea! It's funny, during Covid I started hoarding Waverly paints and waxes so I have most of those colors, just didn't know what to do with them. Now I know! Thanks for sharing 🥰
Nice to see a new technique! thanks for being brave and trying this out so I can try it too! :) you have such an amazing eye for color, and I so appreciate you and your work!!!
Love the vases - If you ever decide to add a bit more texture try adding a little of that fine Dollar Tree sand and a little paint to the joint compound. I've had fantastic results with that method. Blessings!
I’m amazed at how clean you stay🐰Your clothes don’t look like you are a messy painter! I make a terrible mess of what ever I’m wearing-even with an apron!
I am glad that you are carrying out projects with new techniques and colors, so that we too can enrich ourselves by seeing new techniques. Thanks!
Loved it..i love the candle stks great job
Love watching you try new techniques.
Thank you
I love the candlesticks but OM Goodness those vases are stunning!! All that texture and those colors!! Yes!!
Aww.. thank you
Love the candle sticks.....very warm and earthy
Wow amazing I have a couple chunky vases. Can't wait to try this
I love how the vases came out. Not too sure about the candle sticks, but you got them the way you loved them in the end and that's what counts. TY for another excellent Vid.

Everything is beautiful. Favorites are the vases just because I like those colors.

Aww.. thank you
Fun idea! Might have to try out getting that pottery look. The candle sticks turned out great!
Oh.. thank you for sharing that. It was a fun project
Please MIX GLUE INTO THE COMPOUND
IF YOU DO NOT
THE COMPOUND WILL DRY UP AND NOT HOLD IT WILL FALL OFF
THEIRS NOTHING TO HOLD IT ON TO THE VACE
IVE DONE IT
IT WORKS AND LAST MUCH LONGER WITH THE GLUE ADDED
I USE ELMER'S WHITE GLUS

Even flat black they look so much better. But, what you created with them is inspiring. Can't wait to try this.
Wasn't real sure of the black candlesticks but after adding the lighter colors, I really like the way they turned out.
Great job on them all..love them.
I like em all :) Thank You for showing us all how everything you see in a 30 second video can take time to create exactly what you were looking for!! This was so informative and fun.
Very nice Yvonne and you could also add a thin layer of gauze over joint compound for even more texture.
Oh.. true
I love the silver painted candlestick. And I love the vases
😮WOW. I wonder how many times in your life that you’ve been told that your hair is absolutely perfect.. chef’s kiss!! ❤lol I LOVE this tutorial. I’m trying to replicate those vases now. Stunning!!
You gave those 4 pieces a totally new life! They look perfect on your coffee tables! Hope you keep them😊
They are beautiful! Would love to see you do more of these.
I’m currently obsessed with painting vases in different ways like you did here. Yours look great!
Thank you for taking risks and showing us, teaching us new things that are truly FANTASTIC!! I love pottery so needless to say I can't wait to try this. Oh girl, are you seeing what is being said about your candle sticks and vases!? They are stunning! Fabulous 👌 job.

Thank you so much 😊
Loved it all. Don't feel like you cared to much for candle sticks. Don't worry it'll pop in your head and you will do them right.

Picked up some vessels today at a yard sale so now to get some joint compound. Yours looked really soft & spreadable.

Yvonne, I've fallen in love your two vases 😍😍😍 Beautiful transformation 👏👏
Aww.. thank you
I am not really a vase sort of gal normally, but I do like what you did with the vases, perfect for dry grasses etc. And the candle sticks! What can I say? They are just jaw dropping, I love them. Yes.. I definitely think that as well. Like the texture paint. Hand wash highly recommended. Tried to seal them in the best I could.
These are absolutely gorgeous. 👋👋🙏🤣👍
Thank you
The vases are amazing quite a transformation. candle sticks are ok I would have to live with them for awhile lol
I'm so happy for you that you're enjoying your retirement from hairdressing. I can see you're having a blast creating now that you have time. Love the vases. Not sure on the candle sticks. 😊
I love all your stuff, the vases are awesome, candle sticks are not quite my fave. 😆
Oh thank you!

Massive pieces are my favorites !!
Love how you made them look like pottery.
Love the vases - If you ever decide to add a bit more texture try adding a little of that fine Dollar Tree sand and a little paint to the joint compound. I've had fantastic results with that method.
