@@ryapowa I think the disconnect is most folks including the girl in this video are really connecting to the emotions of this song and really feeling what the words mean. All the while he keeps yammering on about the technical aspects of the song. It makes it a bit frustrating when you're getting into your feels and a guys like "dude, I love that vocal effect!". You aren't wrong though. One should expect this going into a reaction video.
@funk0tron As I said, might be better to pause and each talk about the things that they like, you could have both perspectives where one of them leans into the emotions and the other leans into the technical or lyrical side of it
@@funk0tron The thing is I actually enjoy the technical aspects. I dont need the emotional aspect as much since I have it for myself. I am interested in hearing now perspectives to something I already enjoy.
@@PresidentScrooge That's perfectly fine. You can talk about whatever you want in your videos. They are yours after all. On the flip side people will let you know if they aren't vibing with it. You just have to decide whether you want to listen to the criticism and apply it or you don't care and keep doing you. I would say keep doing you. You won't keep me as a viewer, but you'll find viewers that do like what you're doing.
This is bar far the best cover of this song that could ever be. It is an emotional masterpiece, he makes you feel the lyrics.
The last “cut my life into pieces” was a throwback to System of a Down “self righteous suicide”
Ronnie is just such a talented musician and singer. Honestly, So so good. I love that Jacoby (singer) from Papa Roach gave them the go ahead for this and that's how Ronnie chose to release it, By showing real respect to the original. Ronnie has SO much connection in this song to his real life, Even the part about losing his mother who abandoned him. The world in the video is a shout out to the previous song "Watch the World Burn" being nothing but ashes after he destroyed it, In this he is repairing the damage he has done which has lead many to think that will be the theme of the next song / video they release. It also makes things hit harder because of the nature of the song being so emotional on it's own on the topic of depression, Which many of us repair ourselves to push on.
The original Papa Roach song is a classic and all credit to them for writing a song which dealt with such an important subject but the lyrics could get lost in the heaviness of the song.
The Falling in Reverse reimagined version is just so beautiful and deep, Ronnie makes those lyrics hit so hard and it’s obviously a song that means a great deal to him. People tend to forget that Ronnie is an amazing singer with an incredible range which he has shown in the other reimagined/revamped songs that he has done, i absolutely love I’m not a Vampire revamped which is also incredibly epic.
I loved the original last resort but this version has made me think about the song in a completely different way and now I actually prefer the Falling in Reverse version.
When you have to rub your lips to stop from crying...this song hits the soul more so now than ever because the original came out when we were kids and didn't understand the pain that went into the song. We just thought it sounded cool, and then Ronnie comes in and smashes our childhood 😆

I was 17 and all in on Infest when it came out and this song was huge. I love this. What a great way to change it up. Its stunning.
Fun Fact: The Last Resort riff was originally written on Piano and only then moved to guitar. So Ronnie just went full circle here.

I think maybe a little awareness to the type of song you're listening to could go a long way. Sometimes you need to let the song breath without talking over it constantly.
