You’re a excellent spokesperson for Radrunner/ I have one and I love it but you beat the crap out of it and you still say positive things about it/ it really is a great bike. Man, If I owned a restaurant I’d hire you in a second, you’re a working man!! That’s what America is all about! God bless you bro, keep doing video updates. Thanks
Jermaine, you're my road warrior hero! Thank you for all your great advice. My Rad bike comes tomorrow and I was thinking I might try delivery so now I know what I need to save up for to make it feasible (extra battery). I have been hit on a bike before, but I'm still riding! I think I'll feel safer on this bike cuz it looks so sturdy.
I really like this style of e-bike. I was going to get the Rad Runner for commuting / errands but I decided to wait on getting the Rad Runner Plus for the suspension and the gears. Your comments about hill climbing helped me decide to hold off. Thanks for the Video.
Appreciate the review. I'm thinking about getting a e bike as well since there's no cars on the road in NY and it will be fun to ride. Anyway, Feel better and be careful!
Hey thank you for making this vid, planning on beginning a career as a bike courier and I'm honestly nervous about getting the wrong bike, one that can't handle stuff, go fast enough, clear hills proper, etc, so this is really handy.
Really appreciate you breaking all this down. I've been thinking about getting a rad for a while. I feel you about the hills and the strain. Thanks for the real world! Appreciate it fam
Just wanted to say thank you for making a Video about the traffic your deal with on your bike I am from New York and I am interested In getting one but I wasn't sure how it will deal with the traffic the stop and go of the city everybody else has videos going through bike path smooth rides you are the only 1 I have found that actually has an E bike in real life scenarios I look forward to watching more of your videos
With worn tires, and riding 25mph in the wet, recipe for a fall. New tires with most tread types will handle wet better than worn tires. Ride safe, use good judgement, slow down as needed.
Nice video on your Radrunner. Almost got a Rad Mini and I also deliver food in SF but go an Ariel Rider M Class instead and I think it's mid drive motor with is the way to go for our SF hills. Mid drive motors are just better engineered to climb and mine has 95 nm of torque vs. 80 nm on all the newest Rad bikes (they're all rear hub motors). I can get up steep hills like the one up Taylor and Pine on PAS 5, gear 2 with minimal effort (no zig zagging needed). Other Pros: Throttle can unlock up tp 28mph, hydraulic brakes, 7 speed gears, front fork and seat suspensions (float over all them nast SF street cracks , holes, and bumps!), fully adjustable stem/handlebar, durable frame, fenders and rear rack included. $1600 (they didn't charge me sales tax!) but look what you're getting vs. a Radrunner with add ons. Cons: Battery a bit weak but I can get by a delivery shift of 3-4 hours on a full charge, no USB, front/rear lights drain battery a bit faster, stock tires are ok but can easily be replaced, and as of writing this comment, they're all sold out!
Yo Ellis!!!! You are a rad dude. Rad power bike should sponsor you. I wish I was just had the money to buy you that other bike. Keep doing what your doing. I will probably not have time to watch all your videos but…………….. I will just let your videos play while I am at work. I want to help your channel grow. Thanks mate!
Depending on the restaurant and if you have good relations with that restaurant, if your waiting around for ten minutes in the restaurant waiting for an order. It might be a good idea to take the charger in your bag and ask if you can unclip your battery and plug it in while you wait. 10 mins here and 5 mins there dont sound like much but they add up and would give you a longer time out riding.
Your reviews are on point. I purchased a fat tire inner tube the day after receiving my bike. And I remember there was only one for sale on amazon. Always a better investment to have your own. Also before you step foot on your bike your best investment is going to Walmart and buying tire slime. Look it up. That one cheap investment will be the best return you ever have. I had a flat also. Put in the slime and never had one since. But I keep slime at home instead of paying a bike shop over and over. UA-cam has many videos on how to install it. Easy.
Just bought one of these in black with the center counsel, can't wait to get errands done with the bike and take leisure rides through my city's historic district :). I also plan to drive it to work everyday since I'm less than half a mile away from my job
We actually have roadside assistance in my city now for ebikes for $10(cad) per month. It's included in your car insurance but you can just get it for your ebike. Definitely worth it if you're not able to get home in the case of a breakdown.
Dude, RadPower just introduced the RadRunner +, 7speed transmission, and front shocks. It’s stock with the passenger package, fenders and the lcd display. You strip off the passenger package, and you’re set! Comes out in July!
Hey man, Just a quick observation. Your chain slipping looks like it's because of the rear sprocket. Electric motors have huge torque and it looks like it has accelerated the wear on the rear sprocket. If you have over 3k miles on that thing it makes sense. If you can, replace both the chain and rear sprocket. Thanks for the review man, placed an order for the RadRover Plus out here in Denver. Just a commuter for me but so far you have the most miles and hard use I have seen anyone with. There is one guy up on Canada doing the same as you but his focus is more on daily commute and profits so no bike issues, wear items, or utility is talked about.
You should get the RadRunner Plus as it has.... as the name implies a longer range at 45 miles from what the web site says. It also comes with screen display as well as a 7 gear shift Shimano along with front suspension fork along with a bigger head light in the front. Though I don’t know why people put the larger cargo basket on the front you have the back for that, and you can put a smaller basket on the front? But the point is.... you should so consider getting it, especially if you like the color silver with brown leather accents to give it a real cafe racer look. Or you can get the folded Rad Power bike so you can take it up to your apartment or where ever you live if you want to store it somewhere. Plus aren’t the Rad Power Bikes brand suppose to have puncture resistant tires to their bikes?
Sounds like you should get the larger battery if you haven't already. And a bike with the 7spd. May suit your business better. But sounds like while is a great way to help you in your job.
I don't understand how anyone driving would not notice you, as I'm quite sure your the most colorful guy around, they gotta be blind. I'm not going to deliver stuff but just ride and maybe stop for food or whatever. Where do you put your bike when there is no rack around to lock it to? Or do they have bike racks everywhere in san fran? I was also thinking of getting an extra battery, so the advice on marking the battery and key was very helpful. I'm thinking about getting the rad rover. So I've been watching these videos for advice and I really appreciate the help. I hope you stay safe and are not hit by anymore irresponsible drivers. Take care.
Great review. I knew nothing about that type of bike. Hope you’re ok after the accident. Think of ways to ride more safely. Maybe don’t ride or ride less during bad rain or poor driving conditions if possible. I was wondering about how accurate the LCD device is for tracking distance. Have you compared it to GPS on your phone?
hey jermaine how much do you make an hour doing food delivery on bike? I make about 20 to 25 dollars an hour doing food delivery on car but its a scam because eventually i'll be -20,000 when my car goes out. Thinking of getting a bike like this to do food delivery, but im a little worried about slowing down traffic and getting people angry. Any advice?
sf4mbison I mean I deliver for a restaurant but what Ive seen and heard from other people is that you can win up to 30$ an hour depending on your luck and area you are in. Working with a bike is pretty good you don’t have to worry about paying for gas or looking for parking and you can buy a cheap bike and save up for an ebike. But make sure to buy a good LOCK especially in busy areas there’s always bad thief’s. There’s always crazy people in cars so just make sure to stay in the bike lane or in one place wear a helmet of course and follow the traffic laws just like you would in a car same concept different ride. However be aware of cabs some of them won’t care and just open their doors in-front of you JUST BE AWARE of your surroundings.
sf4mbison not at all cause I keep my distance from cars but there are sometimes stupid people who walk on a red light meanwhile I have a green light I just make sure to be really careful

When you're riding against the wind, it's called headwind, if the wind is behind you, it's called tailwind.

No one has reviews on the rad insulated delivery bag. Been looking for that. Good to see the bike is durable. I just ordered one.

That looks like a bike straight out of a MASH episode LMAO
You got that Hawkeye I see..

Let’s get this video started!! Needs to be on a tshirt
I would buy it
Brother Jermaine. Do you have tire tube protectors? 🤔🤔🤔🙏🏿
I was hoping you'd make a more in depth review of your new e-bike. Thank you!
Thanks for this video. I am thinking about doing food deliveries and this bike looks dope !
The back is dope I'm getting mind soon Trying to decide on the accessories...
I wanted to purchase this bike but unfortunately they don't ship to Puerto Rico.
Excellent video as usual Jermaine 👍. Thanks for the bike info.
As soon as I get my pay cheque I'll have that bike thank you.
Would rim brakes last longer than disc brakes? And would smooth brakes (without holes) last longer than the slotted rotors?

Very informative thanks jermaine
Jermaine look into getting a small solar panel it would help your battery last longer
lol, you would need a huge panel to be effective. Look into solar and how it works before giving advice that lacks experience.
Great video. Learned some things I didn't know.
