Im a fashion designer and I really really love the costumes, I love how the designer is inspired by McQueen, VW and Dior, this movie reminds me of devil wears Prada but this is 10 times better

Yes!! People don't give enough dues to the creatives who design the credits. Also the casting directors got this down pat 👌🏼

@@mohcinehalimi6722 there are reals one. The fashion designer even said it in an interview that yeah there are dresses that can burn without hurting the person but what they used in the film was visual effects. Google about it and I hope you use it for a party

What I like most about this movie is that it's not a "fall from grace" origin story. It's most decidedly a battle between two morally dubious women in a very hostile and competitive environment, vying for domination. It's a lot like watching a grisly duel between two she-lions, to see who becomes queen of the London Jungle next >:D
I don’t think the baroness is morally dubious as she is very clearly presented as a narcissist

Did anyone notice when the baroness throws a chair and it hits one of the maids? She stayed in character throughout but she looked concerned for her. Emma Thompson is a pro!
I don't think that was an accident. The camera focused on her and she had a line
@@erikperhs_ Yes but I don't think the chair was supposed to hit her so bad on the leg, if you watch it again the chair really strikes her ankle pretty hard almost breaking it.

Omg Same! I noticed that immediately and had a feeling that it was on accident and therefore improvised to be a part of the movie. I think the chair scene was a part of the plan and so was the zoom in, but I’m guessing the hit on the maid’s ankle wasn’t as planned.

I think it's CGI
CGI is as broad a term as explaining "The movie was made arranging pixels on a screen with some Hollywood magic" Like yeah, that's not wrong, but we shouldn't dismiss CGI as being this boring thing, it's really complex and sometimes the techniques used are even more interesting than making it live.
For example, this scene in particular was attempted to make live, but Emma Stone was set ablaze and tragically reduced to ashes. So: they filmed the rest of the movie using CGI, even the subsequent interviews.
Emma Thompson is the stand out actress in this movie for me.

Cruella was either going to be really dark and not that fun OR a mix of comedy and still some darkness because it’s Cruella Devil! I watched it 2 times in 3 days and OMG ITS SO GOOD! There really is a great mix of comedy, intensity, and darkness if you haven’t seen it GURL GET ON IT! 😍😍🤩
Behind the scenes is just so magical and educational...I LOVE IT!!

Just finished watching the movie. It was incredible!! The first part (Cruella as a child) was a little hard to watch and felt kinda cliche. However the second we transitioned to adult cruella, the movie became incredible to watch! Both emmas nailed this movie!! Emma Stone could make me love or hate cruella in a snap. Finally a good live action movie and disney movie in general

Is anyone going to talk about how cool the store manager acted in this movie? (Gerald) Such great performance, acting and face expressions, he could've had more protagonism in the movie since he was at some point part of the development of cruella's character, we need to remember that the people who doesn't believe in you are often the ones who encourages you to be better or powerful and he was definitiyely that guy. I would even have liked to see him realizing how big Estella become and later realize she is Cruella and why not at some point to help her destroy Baroness von hellman. Loved this movie and will see it as many times as possible !

I'm not really a big Emma Stone fan and I thought the film played a little long. BUT... I really thought that she was charming in the role, quite delightful. A home run for her and Thompson too, who never makes a mistake. She's great in everything.
ADDENDUM: I just saw Emma in "The Favourite" last night. She was AMAZING, more capable of handling challenging roles than I could have ever expected. I've suddenly become a fan!!
Loved it, it was just total fun and just loved Emma in it, she was perfect in it. Just really, really, enjoyed it big time. I'm hoping for a sequel...
