    6:45 SAVED MY FREAKIN BACON DUDE! I KNEW I WAS MISSING A BOLT IN BACK BUT IT LOOKED LIKE THE AIRBOX MOUNT BOLTS AND I THOUGHT NAH NO WAY THATS THE RIGHT ONE
    THANK YOU SO FREAKING MUCH!!!

    On my 2008 it didn’t take high miles. At 70k it started stumbling. I remember this was happening to many people. I think a lot of them weren’t adjusted right from the factory.

    Excellent video... my car was stalling at first couple stops as well. I just finished doing this and im about to put it together. Hopefully this fixes the cold start stall issue. Thanks a lot ill update in a few days. I recommend changing all the gaskets in the intake manifold including the EGR Chamber gasket. These engines are very reliable and excellent gas savers.

    One question on the reassembly, is there a reusable valve cover gasket or did you have to use hondabond?

    • @MrWoopadeedo
      @MrWoopadeedo 8 місяців тому +2

      I had a new valve cover gasket I installed the first time I adjusted the valves. I didn’t use any sealant on it. You will see a little bit around the timing cover but if there’s not a ridge you can catch with your fingernail you don’t need it.

    Great video man
    Would this be the same process for a 2006 Honda Jazz.
    Im having the exact same problem when i engage drive or reverse, a lot of shaking and wanting to turn off.

    I've got a bit of a problem, i hope you may be able to help. I got a 2003 GD3 Fit, with the seven speed mode button. When i use the the button during the day it works great, Strangely using it at nights it causes the dash to start flashing away until i switch it off or use the gear level . I'm wondering if its a electrical ,load issue or what??? Can you or someone in the comments please help.

    I bought my Honda FIT 2009 at 143,000 miles, now its 227,000. I don't think it ever had a valve adjustment and the car still runs fine.

    every vid i’ve seen they take off the whole windshield wiper assembly but here it looks unnecessary. maybe that’s for the GE8 only

    • @oioracing
      @oioracing  15 днів тому

      Definitely required on the GE8. Here it’s a preference. If you are doing anything with the plugs you’ll probably want to yank that stuff out regardless.

    First of all thank you very much for your video! Q: from what I see in your video it looks like you did not have to remove the wipers or plastic cowling or a metal shelf underneath. but is that also correct for my 2012 jazz hybrid? Please confirm. thank you so much!

    • @oioracing
      @oioracing  Місяць тому

      For valves it’s probably not required but if you intend on doing any work with the coil packs or plugs it’s a must.

    have a 2019 fit slowly making ticking sounds over the years getting worse and its only during winter time it does it 40 degres or colder, once the car warms up the ticking sound goes away and it's fine, during the summer time it doesn't make the sound at all,only 55k miles on it.

    • @oioracing
      @oioracing  7 місяців тому +1

      Ticking is good. Ticking means that they're probably adjusted correctly. It's when they get quiet that you need to worry. Still, its a pretty simple job to do just for a little insurance.

    What is the Nm to lock the tightness of the screws?

    • @MrWoopadeedo
      @MrWoopadeedo 6 місяців тому +1

      Honda doesn’t list a torque spec in my information, but generic torque for a 6mm bolt/nut is 12Nm

    • @TheWrenchWiz
      @TheWrenchWiz 16 днів тому

      @cybcarr It is 14 N·m (10 lbf·ft). But when using a torque wrench you cant hold the screw in place. So there is a chance it may move. Recheck the gap after torquing.
