He also once overhauled a transmission with one hand, while holding a camera with the other, and somehow managed to produce both a working transmission and a high water mark of filmmaking. The world needs more of Mark.
@goldar4846 Let me elaborate for all you simps, I am simply giving the man props for doing work himself unlike these other UA-cam creators who pay someone else to do their work and never turn a wrench. If your weak comment was directed towards me I'm living my dream and I could care less about posting any of it on Social Media platforms so hopefully you live an exciting life just like I do.
Fantastic build! The Honda Fit is one of the most underrated platforms out there. Glad to see someone taking it to its full potential. Thanks for sharing!
As a GE8 owner, I've been waiting on people to start releasing jumper harnesses and get the quirks of this swap sorted so it's more plug and play. It's definitely on my to-do list at some point.
I've been watching this channel for a while even though I lost a couple of accounts. What I like about this channel is that all the bills are realistic to actual working people
I watch a lot of car videos man, but things like K swaps into things like a Fit are just mind blowing to me. I wish I had your skill. Big respect from Ireland.
I loved watching how that engine fit in the boot of your car, that was crazy! But the SINGLE MOST IMPORTANT ASPECT of this video was you showing how you dropped that engine without a lift, BRAVO SIR! Now I'm getting the itch to take out a personal loan and do this to my 2010, hopefully it's as affordable for me as it was for you. Cheers fellow Honda brother, you win UA-cam today with this video!
Heh so awesome. Couple weeks ago I just replaced my 5 speed with a k20z3 Si transmission for the first time by myself, and afterwards was covered in bruises from dropping the subframe, dropping the old tranny, installing a new flywheel + friction disc + pressure plate setup, then getting everything back together again... I loved it!! 👏👏
Nice build. Right off the bat this triggered my hatred for rev-hang though. You're already running flashpro... I would disable rev-hang ASAP. I hate how lethargic these engines sound while still stuck on the factory settings for decel throttle-opening, fuel cut delay, etc... These engines have the ability to feel sharp and alive with the correct settings. Get that dialed in and then start hitting some crisp rev-matches. You'll love it 10x more.
Just got my first Honda Car, a Honda Civic FB, and this pop right into my suggested videos. Your build gives me chills to the bones and the pops and bangs ignits my spirit. Thanks for the knowledge.
I am so very envious of your build! Great work! The gen 2 fit is beautiful. I currently drive a '02 EP3 with the K20A2 and 6 speed swapped in from an 03 RSX Type S. It makes me want to start over and work towards something like this. Thank you for the video, I really enjoyed watching it.
The Honda Fit? Honda absolutely Yoked. That exhaust note is so nice - always makes me happy to see sleeper builds that don't have exhausts that, to me, defeat the feel of the sleeper.
@10:31 Call over two strong friends to simply lift the front end up off the jack stands, you slide the engine, then they lower back onto the jackstands. The front end is surprisingly light without the engine, transmission and subframe.
I know we don't know each other but I just want to say I'm proud of you, bro. You built what you said you wanted to build. I hope I can follow the same footsteps 1 day and doing the same thing. But shit is so expensive in cali!
Very Nice Job, I still have both my One Off JDM GD3s. One is still Kseries Swap Turbo that was all custom parts back in 06-07, and my other is my Js Racing T1R L15 Turbo GD3 Fit with Bisimotos one-off stuff back in 07. OG Owner and will never let go off them. So much fun. Gorgeous GE8 and VLOG. 🙏🏻👍
Incredible upload Mark! A lot of work went into this video upload. The swap, editing, chasing down parts, custom made parts. Most detailed and informative Fit k24 swap on youtube to date. Loved every minute of the show. Thank you.
36:00 So every time you want to check engine oil or fill the oil, you may have to remove the windshield wipers, windshield wiper motor, hood hinge covers, plastic and metal cowling.
Been wanting to do this to my Fit since I bought it in 2010. Hopefully next year I can start doing the same swap. Oh and yea 2 gen FTW!! great job Mark!!!
I believe the most Honda would have done would be a 1.8L DOHC in the Fit from factory. Honda would want to stick to the overall nimbleness and daily practicality of the fit while keeping costs down. We can only continue to dream.
So much great info in here, and I wanted to express my appreciation for the hard work in putting this video together. I love the Honda Fit's... and I just bought my 4th one (GE8) 2 weeks ago expressly as my mid-life crisis project car. Thanks for sharing this!
wtach for shifter cables hitting exhaust and melting. i had to trim shifter cable hole wider so that angel of passing is not steep and put plenty of heat padding over them where they are near exhaust. great job on that exhaust. i know there is not much space under Fit and a lot 90 bends. cehck out my build on k24 Fit turbo, we had to shift entire radiator frame 2" forrwad and a lot more to fit Intercooler
Man I miss my GD3. That was my first new car when I was 18. I’m on FK8 now, but have always wanted to rebuild an older Honda. Maybe I’ll revisit this in the future! Thanks for this detailed video. I will save this for the future!
That build is clean! You can just see the thought and planning that went in to that! Reminds me of how I do my builds! Oem+ very very nice work my man. Hope to see what your next project will be. You gained a follower!
I'd be interested to see a video on the reverse lockout and lights, as it's something VTEC Academy kinda skimmed over as well. Useful for those us who might be doing an auto/manual swap.
just got this one with just 27k km on it and was going to update the same but you chnaged my mind, not sure if i could get this engine in India but lets see. Thanks.
Definitely a dream car. Like a fiesta st but well built. (I owned a fiesta st and now a 02 rsx type s). My rsx is almost as fast NA, gets 30-35mpg highway, and only uses some oil at 234k miles
This is a badass video. I am slightly jealous as I love this gen but just got the gen 3, so this doesn’t apply to mine 😢 lol But as others have said, big thanks for sharing what others would keep as secrets in this swap process 🙏
That's fuckin sick! Watching your clip at 26:09 I estimate you ran 0-60 in 5.2-5.5 seconds which is way better than the 9 seconds it came with the L15A, K24 power!! The real Fit Type R
Nice build and build process you got sir. Your honda fit story inspires us to go ahead, research, and do our own build. Gou got a new yt and ig subscriber here.🤙
Whats registration/emissions like (Im in AZ) when engine swapping an OBD2 car like this? Does it raise red flags when they plug into the port? Im only familiar with 25+ year old vehicles without OBD2.
Just bought a GD3 sport yesterday and i think I'm going to need this 💀 it's manual and even stock it zips through the winding mountain roads here in Tennessee
Nice build man! I wish I the time and skill to do something like that. I am looking into going to the dragon with my FL5 CTR next year. That looks like a good time.😊
2400lbs and a 201 hp engine is an insane combo while maintaining practicality of a Fit
This man dropped the subframe and engine out of the bottom without a lift, Mark you are the GOAT, keep up the great work and content.
I appreciate that!
He also once overhauled a transmission with one hand, while holding a camera with the other, and somehow managed to produce both a working transmission and a high water mark of filmmaking. The world needs more of Mark.
Gets done all the time guy!
Must be a fun life when you're that easily impressed by nothing.

can we get more fit content please pls
Why did you keep the PS pump?
@zosh 3 months since last vid fam when we gonna get a new one? 😢

Idk why my broke ass went to fb marketplace looking at 2nd gen fits like i have the money to swap it.
I think most people watching this video feel the same way, cause im here feeling and doing the same exact way
that makes 3 of us🤣🤣
Meh just buy it, and do simple stuff while saving for the actual swap.
Me too
A man can dream
Fantastic build! The Honda Fit is one of the most underrated platforms out there. Glad to see someone taking it to its full potential. Thanks for sharing!
i was so obsessed with fits in high school but once i got old enough to buy fun weekend cars it felt too slow....this is amazing
That helps me remember I am poor.
It's still slow even with the swap.
@@StopWars420 certainly makes it a lot more fun
Strange...most children think faster is better, not considering practicality...
As a GE8 owner, I've been waiting on people to start releasing jumper harnesses and get the quirks of this swap sorted so it's more plug and play. It's definitely on my to-do list at some point.
The second generation honda fit is the best, it's got the most cup holders. 😊
Love your build, really cool .
no refresh mode but it’s all good. would’ve been so good..
I've been watching this channel for a while even though I lost a couple of accounts. What I like about this channel is that all the bills are realistic to actual working people
You are an absolute legend. The fit community really likes gatekeeping info for the swap. You are the best!

I use to own a GE6 and GE8. A GE with a K20 or 24 swap has always been my wish. Probably the best combination in my opinion

Rev hang is good.
As a fellow Fit owner, fantastic video and editing… it was an awesome watch!
i love it when other people appreciate the little honda that could :D
Picking up the engine for the fit in the fit is a great move.
I love this whole video, from the details about the swap, the swap itself and the fit, and the beautiful ending with the car meet
Thank you!

This thing is incredible. What a weapon! Ultimate daily driver.
Nice. I’ve been wanting to see a properly setup fit, I’ve always been into wagons and 4 doors.
That K24 must rip installed in the Fit. Awsome build Mark
Thank you
This process is very impressive! I haven't seen enough videos where typical garage tools are used for the entire process.

How do i like this video multiple times without unliking it? Very fantastic build!
The realist dude in the game! Keep up the real content
Me too I love the Fit. And I'm a Toyota guy! The Fit and S2000 are def my favorite Hondas ever made. And the EP3.
Beautiful build! She must fly!

I love how your honda fit looks really nice
I bought a FiT just for this… I did end up selling it before I could but man this build is a 🚀 rocket!!!
I absolutely love this I've wanted a K powered fit for a very long time this makes me extremely happy.
love the z3 I have a 2010 tsx with an ecu that pushes it to about 225, it isnt the fastest but its a lot of fun

I smoked the dragon in my stock ge8 on some 200tw tires, and I can only imagine a k swapped version!
The fit honda should've made
1 for the books , light shell ,k inside what more can you ask for.
Is there enough space for turbo components? Looks like there's barely enough space for the K itself.
There’s enough space
Do you gotta drop the engine to change spark plugs? There looks to be no clearance for maintenance
I love it , when I was a kid the eg6 was my favorite hatchback and I always thought of the fit as the modern day EG if they only made it a coupe
