My late father was in the Battle of Saipan in WW2. He always watched Combat! with me when I was a kid. He passed away about four years ago at 91. RIP Dad.
I am almost 60, did 22 years in the Air Force. My father was in the Army during WW2 fighting the Japanese in the Islands of New Guinea. Wounded three times. I remember watching this every weeknight with my father. He thought it was an accurate depiction of war. He was there.
Re-watching these 50 years later, it reminds me how good Vic Morrow really was. Bottom line is that this was his show. A very gifted fellow, who even directed a number of episodes himself. Even my father, a chisled WW II vet himself, thought the same.
I watched this TV series every week as a kid. Its blending of actual WWII footage with the plot was fantastic, adding to the realism and drama of this great show, many episodes directed by Vic Morrow (Sarge).
THERE will never be a drama on tv to match COMBAT,when kids are intrigued enough to leave playing sand lot football or cornering the prettiest girl in the neighborhood,to run home and watch COMBAT with your dad,who was there in the action,my dad was there and he watched it with me,forever memories, thanks for the upload
My father was a Tanker in the Korean War. We would always watch Combat every week together and he enjoyed it. A great series with great actors was sure to please. Not like the vast wasteland today!
It really reminds me when I was younger watching COMBAT and TARZAN every weekend right in front of our Church in our Village.I was 8 or 10 years old watching all these Combat movies/all episodes.....time passes by so fast😊
I loved Combat! When I was a kid. Now I can really appreciate the writing, the stories, complexities of the characters and especially the combat scenes. Right up there with Saving Private Ryan.
Combat is the best war movie on TV ever. The producer is great. So was vic morrow an excellent actor and rick jason. I watch this series when it started in 1962. I was 14 years old. I'm 73 now and still watching it. Bring back memories
Funny how so many remember watching this show with their father. Dad always let me stay up to watch this show with him. Guess he thought it was important.
I had faint images of this series as a kid from my dad's black and white TV. When I saw the opportunity to see this on UA-cam, I have been watching an episode per week.

The close - ups of Vic's face from the girl's view point were outstanding. One of the perhaps 3 best episodes.

Probably the best "Combat" episode ever! Plenty of close-up shots showing us what a great actor Vic Morrow was!
I love Combat!!!! Suspense in the battle field.
Combat! Our family's favorite show in the 60s.
