Best thing to have is a map (paper). Tells you where you are, distance and routes to where you want to go. Shows wooded/grassland/parks. Also shows train tracks - always the most direct way out of town.
You know why I dont care for survival channels in general anymore? They dont cover the most obvious things. They all seem to come from this super hero comic book fantasy space. They all seem to just be LARPing to hustle merch. Out of respect for Alan Kay Ill drop this dime here. Cities are the most resource dense places on earth and the only thing standing between you and that in the shtf scenario is access. The best survival tools you can have for urban survival outside of canteen cutting tool and combustion is Knipex Tools LP - 1101 Twin Key Universal Control Cabinet Key and a bump key. Dont draw attention by throwing a brick when you can just open the door or turn on the fossette.
100% agree with the utility of a bicycle. I’m up here in Canada. During the First World War and Second World War, our soldiers used bicycles to quickly and quietly out maneuver the German forces. Highly useful tool to have and they can travel vast distances.
Where I live, October through March is outerwear season. My favorite fleece pullover has a zippered inside pocket below the left shoulder. A little basic kit always lives it that. (Most important thing - A pack of travel tissue in case you end up in a bathroom stall that is out of TP.) The pullover is also loose enough to be able to carry a smaller crossbody bag underneath without anybody being any the wiser.
My wife and I are old and bikes are out. We have recumbent E Trikes. Walking requires frequent stops and we can't carry much. 20 miles is easy on the trikes and they will carry a good bit of gear. If you have to walk and have gear, I have seen some very nice folding cargo dolly's with decent wheels for about $30.
I keep a bolt cutter in my diesel van aka the key to the cities. In dire times you could use it to get into shelter areas, get a bike, get food, and even use it as a weapon.
Hej Nice to find an american who dosent go from A to Z direct instead os using b, c, d etc. Also ou have a likeable voice that is easy to understand and listen to. So i have liked and subscribed to you all the way from Scandinavia. (Y)

Great job buddy. Just watched your Beast episode last night for the first time. Which is funny ive been watching your channel since you first started it up but hadn't watched that. That swamp had to of been debilitating
A skillset i do hate to mention tho is lockpicking ,its a fun hobby could be used incorrectly tho. Thats the bad part. Be safe & stay legal ,everyone.👍🏻 We arent thieves we are preppers & survivalist.
Unless I am Deja Vuing, I distinctly remember in another video you leaning on the bike and the black police Explorer roll by, and you being in the prefab barn. Either way, lots of good tips here.
Jason, I'm bigger n badder n John Wayne and cooler than Stever Earl. But ... I don't wanna take a .22 to the dome, so ..... I'll chill LOL Great video TY.
Like most things electrical.if the power force is disconnected when the EMP happens then should be ok because there’s no current been drawn All theory of course
True. I can charge it via my solar generator it just takes a while. It can also be ridden like a normal bike but it’s super heavy. Still way better than walking.
@@ONThree Yes they look heavy but they also look awesome to ride and definitely something others would want to get their hands on. It would also let others know you have a generator as well.
So if you have any backpack your going to be a target. Greyman is no better then looking like a guy that will hurt you are more! People will bypass me i promise.
I don't understand the street smarts and what you're trying to say look if I'm going to be standing there in my camouflage well then someone wants to roll me and is that stupid then they're just asking to get rolled themselves because I'm not scared of shit like that and if they have any sense whatsoever when you see a tiger with its stripes and it's boldness do you really think you want to go for that and if you're wearing clogs or sandals and you look like some kind of lame duck with knobby knees and you're walking around just trying to blend in that looks more like a victim to me
Jason’s right. If you dress and look a certain way people are aware of what value you may offer. There are packs of wolves out there. They don’t always fly solo
@@chris1638 very good point I do understand and I accept that but in my life at being 63 years old I have had over 33 fights on the street never lost one. And that has been up against 3 to 4 other guys and I'm only 150 lb. What I've learned overall is even a wolf or a lion will not take on a threat that endangers them to injury. A bunch of guys were walking down the street on the other side of the street and they started looking and laughing and goofing around at me so as I walked towards them I crossed the street and walk through the pile of them and as nobody said nothing I said to them what a bunch of fucking wussies and they said nothing . I don't walk alone neither I'm a force of one I'm packing thanks for your song
The grey man is nothing but a mall ninja whos wife wont let him embarrass her like that anymore. The grey man has given up the power fantasy of saving the local walmart by giving a group of bad guys the Mozambique with his pocket pistol and decided to embrace his cowardice. The entire premise of grey man is not setup on effectiveness. Effectiveness would not require you to defeat clothing before you pull out your low ammo, snappy, inaccurate pocket pistol to defeat a bad actor. Being socially acceptable requires you put yourself at such a disadvantage in an unpredictable and dangerous situation. The grey man cant handle the local anti gun karens harsh tones let alone a bad actor intending harm.

Have a great week ahead, cheers!
Glad you enjoyed it!

All done now and thanks for the injection of humour

Great common sense video. Lots of concepts and ideas that don’t always have to apply to SHTF and survival

Hello from America. I would love to visit your world one day. I hear it’s nice
Packed full of great info
Hey Jason, good video, thanks. How about doing a stealth urban camp and demonstrate these suggestions. Just a thought.
Great idea!
This is such a good video
Will Alan Kay be making a return appearance on the channel?
Probably not. He’s enjoying being removed from the digital world
I do miss Alan Kay my self , him & Jj Morris would be funny.
Miss him too. was just watching the first alone. He's got to do what he has to though, although we could all use his expertise
@@GBall_Vision Jason’s got all the expertise that I need. He’s the man!
@@ONThree how was the dumpster locked? I'm in the Bay area CA for a trip. Your truck would fit in. Tons of work trucks that look a lot like yours.

Make more of a price on your trade items and call them stealth think of grabbing a test meal.❤
Now I need too put together a kit for my street bike
Yep!
The creek water, after you boiled it or used a Soyer filter, would running it through the campfire charcoal remove the chemicals?
"Something that does this 👉" is probably my favorite new way to politely decsribe something that does this 👉.
Great video brother
Good afternoon!
Hello there!
Unless I am Deja Vuing, I distinctly remember in another video you leaning on the bike and the black police Explorer roll by, and you being in the prefab barn. Either way, lots of good tips here.
You should check out the Stanley FUBAR. They come in 2 sizes..
Highly recommend getting a water meter key for turning on water valves. $2 could save your life 🤙🏻🤙🏻💯🇺🇲
Thanks for the tip!

Lol. I don’t blame you
Johns landscapeing sticker fix the truckid build a seep well on that sand bar
Will one of those E-Bikes survive an EMP event though?
Very hard to say. Depends on which “expert” you are talking to. The bike is heavy but still works as a regular bike.
Like most things electrical.if the power force is disconnected when the EMP happens then should be ok because there’s no current been drawn
All theory of course
Great info for new folks right here. Well done 3! Tell us where to pick up a wallet like that. Please!!!
Much appreciated!

As an engineer and a bicycle rider, the sound that knobby bicycle tires make is the sound of wasted energy.
Truth. Until the traction is needed.

How good is your bike going to be with a grid down situation though, not
very.

Would an EMP disable your e-bike?
Definitely possible. But you can still ride it.

There are far easier ways to defeat locks that bolt cutters. Most locks only keep honest people honest.
That’s true
Wouldn't an EMP take out your electric bike as well as your truck?
Definitely a possibility. The bike can be rode without the battery.
