Easy Strategy for Commander Gaius - Elden Ring: Shadow of the Erdtree DLC

Here's a video showing how to cheese Commander Gaius in the Elden Ring DLC, Shadow of the Erdtree. The strategy:
1. Buff up with Golden Vow and Flame Grant Me Strength
2. Use Wonderous Physick with Opaline Hardtear (damage reduction) and Flame-Shrouding Cracked Tear (boosts fire attacks).
3. Eat a Boiled Crab for extra defense if needed.
4. Have Blasphemous Blade (10) + Greatshield Soldier Ashes (+9).
5. Talismans used: Shard of Alexander, Carian Filigreed Crest, Fire Scorpion Charm and Dragoncrest Greatshield Talisman.
6. Enter fog and move left to get behind the wall.
7. Summon Greatshield Soldier Ashes. They will surround the enemy and distract him allowing you to attack from mid-range.
8. L2 your way to victory. Use FP Flask when needed.

I cant believe that this is the same boss that took me 2 hours
He was one tough SOB! Lol. But yes, by the time I figured out some strats, I was way late into the game and had beaten almost all bosses. Might do another run with some extra cheese.

If you get your horse like perfectly in his, he just freezes and you can beat the shit out of him for free as well.
Really? Is that on PC or consoles? I’ve seen some crazy stuff but on PC only. People are using mods and whatnot
@@akhafasu I did it a few hours ago on my PS5. You have to get torrent’s head in Gaisus mount’s front legs at like a 90 degree angle. He just stops attacking and does absolutely nothing he starts to squirm but if you hold forward he doesn’t break out of it.

Awesome! This worked for my NG+8 magic build. I did have my scadu tree fragments at level 17 and revered spirit ashes at +8 at the time of this fight on NG+8

Generally, outside of a few bosses, the game isn't hard. The few bosses though... This is cheap af, trash, low hanging fruit, fog wall camping bs.

I don't get it. Are these bosses designed to be cheesed? Because I do not see a single UA-cam guide that explains how to beat him in a legit fight.

The charge attack is so fucking stupid, it has a lingering hitbox and is only dodgeable 10% of the time

@@akhafasu Yeah thank you for the tip. Problem is he uses it at point blank range too. It sucks that we have to glitch bosses on a wall for it to be playable.

This boss is so damn cancer, he does those combo attacks that are impossible to dodge.
