Bayle has by FAR been my favourite fight in SOTE thus far, so it's awesome to see him going toe-to-toe against everyone and showcasing that moveset more openly. I love how against the Dragonkin Soldier of Nokstella & Mohg, you can really get a sense of how Bayle is a dragon who practices Dragon Communion by feeding on his own kind, and you can start to see the same sorts of monstrous human qualities reflected in his draconic nature that makes his design really stand out from all of the other types of Dragons & Wyrms in Elden Ring. Especially against Placidusax (who he lost to, but which physically ravaged them both in both lore AND this perfect showcase of a battle that was like that), you can see how that pain and outrage is starting to take his Crimson Lightning and twist that huw to resemble something more akin to the burning hatred of the Frenzied Flame.
Elden Ring players calling a stalemate a loss for the second time. Granted I get why with Malenia and Radahn, but here we have no shady ultra special attack granted by some Goddess. It was an equal bout with mutual injuries.
@@shyguyrocks1 On the Talisman of the Dread, _“whose challenge to the ancient Dragonlord ended in grievous mutual injury.”_ - Bayle challenged the Dragonlord, and though the battle ends in mutual injury, he didn't gain the title of Lord and was confined in exile to the Realm of Shadow with all of the other defeated, so *_he objectively lost._* Radahn & Malenia were both vying for the title of Elden Lord during The Shattering, and their conflict was described as, _“a battle without victor.”_ and Malenia has, _“never known defeat.”_ so theirs was ACTUALLY a stalemate, whereas Placidusax vs. Bayle was absolutely not. Whether Placidusax's injury and keeping his title as Dragonlord was ultimately a pyrrhic victory for him is worth exploring, but one of the Ancient Dragons literally sacrificed her body to aid in Bayle's destruction to emphasize the alignment there. The Dragon War would likely have resulted in a significantly different developments depending on when the conflict occurred, as would the Dragons' extant relationships with humans (Vyke & Lansseax as well as Godwyn & Fortissax) via the Dragon Cult holding power. @@XenoDBlade the elden ring and all that stuff wasn't even around I think during placidusax time. Elden beast is a literal god more then anything else we've fought. It would make sense for the personification of order to be more powerful then a 2 headed lightning dragon

Surprisingly a lot of very cool fights, some weaker bosses showed they could still pack a punch, loved seeing Astel somewhat clown on Bayle and Rykard and Laser Golem too. And I'm of course glad that Death Rite Bird got destroyed
I think Placi vs Bayle in that arena might be one of only a few 100% lore accurate boss vs boss fights I've seen on this channel. Its crazy to think we probably couldnt handle placi and bayle at their prime. These guys are true monsters even wounded so severely.
Wouldn't elden beast lore wise be more powerful then both? Then we should beat them
@michaelarias3310 not really. Remember to become Elden Lord we had to challenge the elden beast and even godfrey talked about challenging once more. So i think in order for placidusax to become eldenlord he had to fight the eldenbeast or something similar
@@XenoDBlade the elden ring and all that stuff wasn't even around I think during placidusax time. Elden beast is a literal god more then anything else we've fought. It would make sense for the personification of order to be more powerful then a 2 headed lightning dragon
@@michaelarias3310 2 headed lightning dragon is underestimating Placidusax, considering the fact that they were an Elden lord before Elden lord was even a thing, its stated in the lore that the scales of Ancient dragons bends time itself, and Ancient dragon smithing stone's are literal scales of Placidusax himself, those scales can hurt and kill Gods
Damn son. Elden Beast was finally putting in some work and just got wrecked at the end.
Surprisingly a lot of very cool fights, some weaker bosses showed they could still pack a punch, loved seeing Astel somewhat clown on Bayle and Rykard and Laser Golem too.
And I'm of course glad that Death Rite Bird got destroyed
Godrick laughing at his own jokes will never get old.
😂😂😂
Godfrey said hold my beer and watch this LMAO poise monster!
I think Placi vs Bayle in that arena might be one of only a few 100% lore accurate boss vs boss fights I've seen on this channel. Especially visually speaking, with Placi's ripped off heads stuck to Bayle's back, Bayle's missing leg, and all the other wounds both have that just match up perfectly to what each dragon's attacks might cause. Absolute cinema.
Just not the same without Igon screaming his lungs out.
That "Boop" headshot from Godfrey made me chuckle :)
Dragonlord: I never mind doing the same thing AGAIN
Radahn getting him to phase 2 as an early game boss is pretty impressive
THE WAY I WAS SCREAMING DURING THAT LAST FIGHT!!!! Oh man one of the best ones yet🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥
Glad you enjoyed
This DLC was well worth the wait, the all new items, bosses, and tons of lore filling blanks or adding context is exactly what i was looking to see when this dropped. Godfrey and Placi's rematch are truly why both are called lords; Bayle lives up to his name with that phase 2 transformation, no wonder poor Igon was broken
I agree
That Godrey fight was legit awesome.
The fight between Placi and Bayle is about what I’d expect from a Ghidorah vs Destoroyah matchup. Toho better be taking notes
The literal embodiment of power and destruction right in front of your feet.
Sir Gideon: "What a sad state of affairs."
I NEED HEL-
The fact that it was down to the wire for Placy is very fitting for the lore
Imagine being within even a mile of Bayle and Placidusax duking it out in their prime. You wouldn't even know what hit you.
The Bayle and Placidusax rematch was amazing
Even though I hate this boss with a passion, I start feeling bad for him when Godfrey stunlocks him like that. Jesus
46:14
We have witnessed history. Proud of my lord Placi ❤
Malenia reaches her prime in her goddes of rot form, where she's a lot more aggressive and her damage is absurd. Her first phase dooms her to lose almost every bossfight because of how passive she is in that phase
That walk towards each other at 28:55 was cold AF.
Episode 124 of Maliketh being that guy
And then Godfrey not even acting troubled, maintaining full courtesy
I blew air out my nose with the clown horn and truck horn. Very nice touch
Lol glad you enjoyed
just as i was reading this it happened, glorious 😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂
