I love how you capture the 'terrifying lows, the dizzying highs and the creamy middles' * of the creative process. Its very reassuring to see 2 very talented Trents both ride the rollercoaster of creativity and see that it's not always a smooth ride but the outcomes can be surprisingly rewarding.

About the paint storage... You could do a board (or I've thought about menu triangle stand so you can stand it on your desk) and hammer in nails and then hang your paint upside down with those dog clips? That's how I've seen other painters do it.

I like the disposable blade for knives when it comes to hobby, but I've always been partial to the scalpel or pointed X-acto blades. I guess I just like the roughly pen sized handle, and the smaller blade makes getting at little things a lot easier.
That bicarbonate of soda trick is something I'll have to remember. Army painter sold a super glue activator that did a really good job at making instant bonds but the gap filling sounds even better with the bicarb.

I love those Jo Sonja tubes, the clear tops of the tubes are great, but I always smear some on the cap when I open a fresh one to see the color clearly. I stand mine up vertically in a large measuring cup, that way I can see my colors at a glance. Handle on the cup is helpful and I can set it anywhere I'm working with a minimal footprint.

you need to make things in t bulk rather than bespoke things quickly.. Having alot of materials that are useful on hand to use saves you alot of time.
Eg I have 3mm, 5mm, 10 mm strips of card in various thicknesses. Foam cut to 10mm x 20mm strips etc. Stuff that can help with detailing and making things look good. Posters at scale sizes. etc.
