The performance was haunting and stunning. She's great at the classic genre of singing.
Congratulations, Julie Andrews! Well deserved, indeed!
One of the best songs of all time and in the Sounds of Music, it is pure magic
This performance brought tears to my eyes. Cynthia sings this song beautifully, and the instrumental arrangement is so lovely as well.
I honestly just found her about two months ago and I can’t get enough. She is my favorite singer now! She has so much control and range. It’s so amazing ❤ I can’t wait for Wicked 😆
Crystal clear vocals! Beautiful!
Cynthia looks precious and sing beautifully. Julia look timeless. Two strong women combination is unique.
A God given talent. How absolutely stunning
I just saw Wicked today. Her voice is amazing. We all love Julie Andrews.
"The Book" says: Sometimes, we entertain angels unaware. I believe I've just been enchanted by an angel. 💞
That voice… it is so stunning!! Effortless and timeless, and with such tender care and soulful heart. I could listen to her all day long… ❤️
This woman can sing anything flawlessly plus her striking beauty means you can’t take your eyes off her. She is a rare precious gift.
Absolutely beautiful performance!
This version is one of the most moving I have ever heard.
I am so attached to this movie... that I always pushed away from my mind that there was someone who could sing it as cleanly as Julie Andrews... but she... Her voice...so candid, sweet, and sublime brought many tears to my eyes.
you kno i usually feel like the overall concept of angels is so tired and boring but every time i watch/listen to cynthia erivo perform i'm like goddamnit maybe there is a divine force and she is its agent after all. just a spiritual beauty whether she's in trousers and a shirt or looking like a bougie wedding cake topper as here. and i also have always felt similarly about julie andrews, so this was an apt production choice. a great tribute! and made me tear up to watch her watching her, seemed they were both touched, very lovely!
Edelweiss is a beautiful white flower. The dress actually had meaning that way, more so than angels. And, yes, she's incredible!
What does angels have to do with anything?
Edelweiss is a white flower that grows in the Alps. It’s beautiful.
she looks pretty and all and i got the reference the first time, just saying what this evokes for me ppl relax
Is there any thing more wholesome than this! Oh she brought such a simple elegance to this song. This might just be my most favorite rendition. Ms Andrews' nod of approval is just everything.
Jesus that was beautiful. What a masterful singer.
Seeing Julie Andrews nod along made me tear up. Legend listening to a legend in the making. Love.
