TERRELL fan here as well. I agree with why she didn't want to perform that song at that conference. If my memory serves me correctly she stated that the song nearly became what she considers a "party trick" and didn't want to disrespect nor downplay the message intended in that very powerful song. I love everything about her; voice, healthy active lifestyle, and beautiful from deep within her spirit to her pretty face. I actually viewed her on the TERRELL show live the other day and enjoyed Parts 1 & 2. It was literally an emotional and beautiful experience.
I have literally just now discovered this women, and I am just....wowed....by her _presence_ . That cool dignity, that crystal-fine gravitas. I mean, yeah, her voice is incredible, but there's lots of nightingales in the entertainment world, today. But she - _she_ just has such an aura of easy *power* . Dear reader, she has stolen me. Now I have to go glut myself on everything she's done.
I don't usually comment, I watch silently But for months I've been coming to this video everytime I feel down and today it feels like she's singing to me
Ive never heard the first song. And it's beautiful. I know she didn't have to start this with talking but I'm so glad she did because she is right we often do forget that there is a person behind the actor. I just love how she gave us insight as to why she won't do "I'm here" as often. Which to me make that song so much more special. She is a wonder and beautiful person.
Thank you for choosing to sing the song for us, Cynthia. As a victim of current and ongoing abuse, this song has meant so much to me. It has helped me cope and realize that I am beautiful and I am here. The message truly is so powerful, and I'm glad you came into my life at the moment I most needed you and needed to hear this song.
I’m here, right now alone at home, in this rainy day felling blue, sad and lonely, also thinking that I may not be enough for anyone, I was feeling ugly, insecure and, in my hopes to forget about how I was felling, and what was happening in my mind and in my soul. Suddenly I crossed to this video. And this changed everything, thank you four your light and inspiration! Thank you for your existence, I needed this! You are an Angel, and now I know and I’m sure I’m beautiful, and most importantly im here!

As a black woman with 4c hair society sees many of woman as me as not as desirable but we are created in God image and shine so ever effortlessly despite the shade they try to cast. God I love that she sang Mona Lisa. I feel like her silky voice when singing the high notes at the climax is more of a cry of acceptance and pride in oneself. Whereas I feel Jazmine’s version, because of her timbre, is more of a cry of wanting to be accepted and finally overcoming the need for approval of others.
Since seeing/hearing her for the first time in Bad times at the El Royale, I'm completely obsessed and entranced, her voice is silk innocence if that's even a thing lol
Same! She has a small singing part in Todrick Hall's "Forbidden" UA-cam musical with Jade Nova. If you keep an open mind and embrace all love check it out, it's amazing.
I love the look on her face as though she herself is astounded by what she can do with her gift. I love her spirit. As I lie here not sure what tomorrow brings I find peace in her astounding voice.
Pull keyboard out of the closet to try to play like this man...realize I sound nothing like him, put it right back to collect more dust...just going to enjoy listening to this masterpiece lol!
I am saw it yesterday. I thought Jennifer Hudson was THE VOICE being new to this phenomenal rising star, and now I am floored to learn this is Cynthia's own voice. Of Mona, of Mona Lisa
Every part of me is beautiful
And I finally see I'm a work of art
A masterpiece
Salomé Amber beautiful
Thank you for the lyrics.
**but i can’t hide no more, i can’t hide

Omg Jazmine Sullivan
Who else came here from Terrell?? I can see why she didn't want to perform I'm Here at this conference
woooooooooow! that was unbelievable. i love her even more.
From Terrell’s channel here too! Love her now. Sang girl 🙌🏽
YepItsThatGuy meeeee!!!!
Me i did. I love her so much now and its all thanks to that wonderful man
I have literally just now discovered this women, and I am just....wowed....by her _presence_ .
I don't usually comment, I watch silently
But for months I've been coming to this video everytime I feel down and today it feels like she's singing to me
STILL IN 2024 the power I feel when listening
Who’s the pianist? He’s beautiful.
Jason Michael Webb
He’s awesome!
Keegan Thorpe right
Drake on the keys lol ;-]
Keegan Thorpe I agree
dang woman is ripped
angelasings24 😂😂😂
She is #goals in so many ways.
That acting fitness stays keeping us in shape fr
angelasings24 I follow her on Instagram and she runs every darn day. She’s an inspiration.
dang right
Ive never heard the first song.
Ashley Padilla go on iTunes and look for Jazzmin Sullivan..
It’s a shame she’s not known more!! She’s exceptional
Jazmine Sullivan... get your life she's amazing they both are
It's called Masterpiece
Masterpiece by Jazmine Sullivan is the first song. And I agree with comment.
Jazmine Sullivan, that woman's voice will change your life
Thank you for choosing to sing the song for us, Cynthia. As a victim of current and ongoing abuse, this song has meant so much to me. It has helped me cope and realize that I am beautiful and I am here. The message truly is so powerful, and I'm glad you came into my life at the moment I most needed you and needed to hear this song.
@Cynthia Erivo stoppp😭
Is like the air is perfectly floating through and out of her, no blocking at all, it's perfect
“I guess this message is more important, than its circumstance.” We don’t serve her holy shit!!
She continues to surprise and amaze me with her voice, intelligence, and pure radiance. I'm fortunate to have found out about her. Wow such an inspirational being.
YES!!! She is a very special person in this world.
I fell in love with Cynthia after hearing her sing "Stand up" during the credits of Harriet. I wanted to know everything about her after that! Her voice is amazing! She is amazing!
Me too! I sing along to that song at the end of the movie and HAVE to watch it Everytime I see that it’s showing.
11:36 the sun came out from behind the clouds and filled the room with a pool of honey. spoke to my soul.
Them arms though...
Askia E. Drew lol
Yea there arms
What do yours look like😗😔😬
Beautifully sculpted. 😊
#armgoals....
She is serving INTENT! INTENT, story, meaning, all that. i can't explain, but that's it's power.
Im so excited for her as Elphaba
That guy on the piano is fabulous.
As a black woman with 4c hair society sees many of woman as me as not as desirable but we are created in God image and shine so ever effortlessly despite the shade they try to cast. This song speaks volumes and I'm honored to be a black woman and a beautiful one at that. Blessings my sistas 🇯🇲❤️❤️❤️❤️
❤❤❤
All Praise to The Most High for creating Us in His image.! How ironic is it that We are made to think that the exact opposite is what's beautiful.. Shalam Sister.. 🙏🏾❤️
Such lovely thoughts behind that lovely voice.
Kevin Boseman are you related to Chadwick Boseman?
Terrell brought me here! I’m so glad 🙌🏾🙌🏾
Yass me too
Me too
Me too!!!!
She’s gorgeous and her voice is like butter!!
God I love that she sang Mona Lisa. I feel like her silky voice when singing the high notes at the climax is more of a cry of acceptance and pride in oneself. Whereas I feel Jazmine’s version, because of her timbre, is more of a cry of wanting to be accepted and finally overcoming the need for approval of others.
even her talking voice is so beautiful. she’s so calming and charming person
WHY IS SHE MY EVERYTHING
Since seeing/hearing her for the first time in Bad times at the El Royale, I'm completely obsessed and entranced, her voice is silk innocence if that's even a thing lol
Same! She has a small singing part in Todrick Hall's "Forbidden" UA-cam musical with Jade Nova. If you keep an open mind and embrace all love check it out, it's amazing.
Random Nikky You put it really well!
Random Nikky did she sing in that movie? i haven’t seen it yet but i want to.
I thought as much!!! I had seen her before!!!
YES! I was like who the fuck was that singing in this movie, found her and have been obsessed ever since.
I’ve watched this video countless times and every time I cry so hard. I can’t believe there are people on this earth that have a voice that angelic.
Her performance made me cry, stunning. Absolutely stunning.
Nothing compares to these two performances.
She is quite simply AMAZING. No words for her radiance...
she has been sent to us...we need to recognise and honour her while she is with us.
Jazmine's Mona Lisa INTO I'm Here is soooo important. Because the songs balance so well.
Awesome singer! Wonderful cover of Jazmin Sullivan's Masterpiece (Mona Lisa).
Yesssssssssssssssssss
Her voice is so resonant and crystal clear. Haunting in its beauty. I can't.
Such a unique blend of power and vulnerability. She is one of the greatest talents of this generation.
I love the look on her face as though she herself is astounded by what she can do with her gift. I love her spirit. As I lie here not sure what tomorrow brings I find peace in her astounding voice.
ahhhh! she covered JAZMINE! Masterpiece truly is a genuine song about loving yourself. I love itttttttt
The simplicity and beauty in this version...swelled my heart!! She is simply beautiful. xoxo
Brilliance flows through her voice! So powerful, she literally speaks to the deepest part of the soul.
Pull keyboard out of the closet to try to play like this man...realize I sound nothing like him, put it right back to collect more dust...just going to enjoy listening to this masterpiece lol!
😂😂😂😂⚰⚰⚰⚰ im so done
Who’s here because of Harriet 2019 🎥
I am saw it yesterday. I thought Jennifer Hudson was THE VOICE being new to this phenomenal rising star, and now I am floored to learn this is Cynthia's own voice. Still trying to grasp the truth in this performance. Leaving the theatre thinking this is best actress bound, now knowing its all her it will be a true sin if she doesn't take it home!
Me
J WALKA214 Me three.,....😍😘🥰
Me. About to see the movie!
Me! omg - what a talent. Where the hell've I been??
Thank the Lord she sung "I'm a work of art.I needed it so much.
“The singing voice is attached to the person who as ideas” 🥰🙏
This whole performance was heaven sent!! The powerful words and emotions are healing!! Music is one of the most powerful forces that God created to heal the soul!! Thank you Cynthia Erivo for blessing us with your gift!!
The fact that while she was singing I’m here from the color purple her eyes were CLOSED the WHOLE TIME! You can really see how the role she played really stayed with her bless her ❤
The song I'm talking about I'M HERE
Nigerian/ African ppl. Voices. REAL. Beautiful..
1goldbaby she’s from the UK
yes now. YES
@@PrincessThicc she's still Nigerian. Only those of us born of slaves have lost our heritage and have to identify as Black/African American. Everyone else has a real homeland.
@@healthydietandexercise every "black/african american" has a homeland as well. We are one. We are the same. Even those that were stolen from there homeland and brought to america and are completely ignorant to their roots, that doesnt mean their roots dont exist. The oppressor divided us and we make it worse when we perpetuate that divide. They all see us the same anyways. The moment we actually come together amd stop this silly game is when things can actually get better. I didnt choose for my ppl to be snatched up, but its a sad reality but whats even worse is that society makes so that i cant call my African brothers and sisters my true brothers and sister. I am not above them and they are not above me. We are one and tge same seperated at birth.
@@mimidivine8466 my response is not meant to separate us. I was responding to the person who said Cynthia is from the UK as though that meant she wasn't Nigerian. However, I am fully aware of the issues we face in regards to unifying and do fully agree with your statement.
Damn I want her talking voice accent and her singing voice. She sounds so young too.
It's Refreshing to see a Beautiful, Intelligent, Talented Black Woman...I Literally felt every word she Sang!!! Great performance!!!
Her voice gives such elegance. I love the British Accent. Love love love
The intro she did before she started to sing was so beautiful, touching and meaningful too me that no matter how many times I play this video (and I play it a lot) I never skip the talking part from respect to her. But I mean, she is so intelligent and articulate with want she wants to say and at the same time has such a calming, soothing and warm speaking voice and presence that it's a pure pleasure listening to her talk.
I’ve always melted at her singing voice but I truly loved hearing her speak more here.. So eloquent, so full of life and truly a person you can look up to and be inspired by.
This title needs to be changed because if I had KNOWN she was singing Masterpiece by the AMAZING Jazmine Sullivan I would've clicked earlier!!!
I'm not commenting this to disrespect her speaking parts of this video. I'm commenting timestamps because I come back to this video often to hear her performance of the songs and want to be able to enjoy her singing easily :) I have watched the video fully through before:
1:50 Masterpiece
7:44 I'm here
I was lucky enough to see Cynthia sing this live 3 times on Broadway, absolutely life-changing. 🙏❤️
A perfect woman. Complexion, physique, speaking voice, tone...just everything about her...
She is so special
11:54 OMFG. THE VOICE CRACK 😍😍 So amazing
came here right after I saw the Aretha tribute..Every part of me is indeed beautiful
She is a "Force To Be Reckoned With"......I'm glad that she is getting her flowers, She is Fierce ❤🔥🔥❤🔥
The title of this video is incomplete. Cynthia sings "Masterpiece (Mona Lisa)" AND "I'm Here. Both are so beautiful it is really beyond words. My god this woman is gifted! Oh my goodness! Liquid gold indeed. Heaven.....♥
