Just opened the Larceny A124. I personally like it. I actually picked up that tootsie roll note after you said that. I totally agree with what you say about price. I’ve paid more for a lesser whiskey. Looking forward to opening my A124 EC. Thanks for your thoughts.
Quite like the a124 larceny... ive passed on a124 ec based on reviews. Id have a hard time calling any of the larceny or ecbp ive tried (other than ecbp c923) worth the premium over rare breed.
My last Larceny was C923. I enjoy ECBP A124 better and tend to gravitate towards ECBPs in general. The C batch from last years Elijah Craig was a monster!

I have to agree with you. We always prefer ECBP to Larceny. More age and more complexity.
Nice review and comparison. I like both. IMO, all EC BP’s and Larceny BP’s are good; some are just better than others. 🥃
Just pick up a rare breed and wait for the next offerings.
I can understand that approach. Rare Breed is awesome. Both of these are solid but not standouts.
Rare breed is the king
I enjoy both of these, but I don’t think either is worth buying a backup.
